then at 9:45, and, three of the teens were picked up in bridgeton, about 50 miles away but tonight, as we mentioned one of them remains on the run , "eyewitness news" reporter, and, in bridgeton, cleve? >> reporter: jessica all of the information now about the manhunt is coming through, bridgeton police who say that michael huggins they believe is still in this area that he came back from jail, to the town where he is accused of committing the murder. >> he should be in a jail. >> reporter: shirley bolt is angry that 18 year-old michael huggins escaped jail wednesday morning, huggins charged with murdering battle's 21 year-old grandson davonte lee last october. >> when i found out it was him that had escaped, that they have not found him just yet, it was devastating news, because, we all thought he was somewhere, where he could not get out. >> reporter: jail break happened shortly after midnight at hash offer fields youth detention center in egg

harbor sit where huggins was held until his trial. he and three other teens attacked a guard and then stole a car which they crashed less than a mile from the jail >> i heard the big crash, and boom. >> reporter: joseph luna caught escaped teens on security camera as they slammed into his jeep, and hit an apartment building and took off running with police just 15 seconds behind. >> vehicle still getting slammed into the fact that these kid, motor vehicle slammed in my neighbor's home and fact that they are still at large is scary. >> reporter: schools in several atlantic county towns were closed that the manhunt grew to include a hundred officers, and around 9:00 a.m. more than 50 miles from where the escape took place huggins three accomplices were caught in bridgeton. police say a resident of the apartment complex on this avenue reported suspicious activity outside. police set up a perimeter to find huggins and placed nearby schools on lock down as well as shut down traffic. >> it is really ridiculous. these are young kid, these days, they just need to go to school, get their education

instead of the doing all this violent stuff. >> reporter: authorities say that the three teens captured are here at the bridge topo lease department, the corrections officer attack is home recovering and there are crews out in the field right now, prepared to continue the manhunt 24/7 until huggins is caught or until they have information he has left this area live from bridgeton, cleve bryan, cbs-3 "eyewitness news". cleve, thanks very much. route 130 in cinnaminson is back opened tonight, after a deadly crash shut down the roadway for several hours. police say juvenile driver fleeing a traffic stop and stolen car crashed in the back of the fedex tractor trailer near riverton road around 10:30 this morning. that car passenger was pronounced dead at the scene, driver is in critical condition at cooper university hospital, and the tractor trailer driver was not injured new tonight an "eyewitness news" exclusive, tax office probe is underway in delaware county. district attorney's office is on the case of missing money totaling about $300,000.

our joe holden is in upper darby tonight with more, joe, good evening. >> reporter: ukee, good evening to you. word of this investigation only surfaced after cbs-3 started asking questions. it appears county detectives are now sorting through what does appear to be a theft scheme here in upper darby town ship. first sign something was wrong came six months ago money was missing from the upper darby township tax collector's office, multiple sources confirmed to "eyewitness news" it was discovered that the amount of cash amount todd close to $300,000. the township police department , referred the theft case to the delaware county district attorney's office. spokeswoman this week confirmed the office is investigating reports of missing money from the tax office, but could not comment any further. our sources say woman in the center of the investigation no longer works for the township. >> that is a terrible thing,
