worse, and fire takes through senior living facilities forcing residents and wheelchairs in the colds. >> everyone is praising the community effort to get every within out safely. today is friday, november 17th good morning, i'm jim donovan. >> i'm rahel solomon. more on the huge fire at the senior community fire in west chester, right to "eyewitness news" reporter trang do live on the scene all morning, trang, officials are expected to give another update in just moments. what can you tell us? >> yes, rahel, jim, waiting for those officials who told us that back at 4:00 that they were going to come back out 6:00 a.m. to give us more updated totals in terms of how many residents were actually inside the building and also in terms of injuries. but what we have heard so far is that at least 20 people were transported to area hospitals, non-life threatening injuries, that's the latest count that we've gotten. now, weaver chopper video over the scene, this fire started just before 11:00 p.m. at the barclay friends senior living community 700 north franklin street in west chester. the fire rose from two to five

alarms in just matter of hours , the numbers that we have right now, put at least 125 people saved from the fire and here on the scene dozens of concerned family members rushed here, wrapping resident up in blanket, comforting them , waiting for them to transport to area shelters including one at west chester university gym. now, we did speak to one woman whose mother lives in the complex, and she absolutely praised the community effort from both first responders, and people living here, right outside the center. >> people were making calls, sending emails, trying to see what they could do to help. a lot of local supporters helped out. >> it seems the staff was doing a great job. they got everybody out, as best they could. and it seemed like they were being taken care of and moved to a safe and warm facility. so we're very gate full to see that so many people were taken care of. and we were happy to find out

very, very nicely at this point. the current temperatures, 44, made to feel no better than the upper 30s, winds flow now generally out of the west or northwest. and right here, at philadelphia international airport, anyway, it is at 10 miles per hour, so, it is noticeable, but it is not super harsh, as the day progresses i expect the daytime high will reach about 50 degrees, but once more do expect that there will be some winds to contend with. and that will make it feel little chillier. you want your sunglasses cents , too, but we talk about the weekends. so here is the overall timing of when things start to take place. the rain showers move in primarily tomorrow afternoon, some models indicating perhaps an hour or two sooner than noontime, but the heaviest rain most likely on saturday night, then as cold front sweeps through, and out to sea , come sunday morning the rain will be tapering off with even snowflakes to the north. so coming up a little later shall meisha, talk about the other side impacts that come along with this. >> all right, great. thanks so much, katie. looking outside right now, our morning commute looking okay, friday's tends to be little light nerve terms of travel, or volume levels, but i'll say

that we've been kind of accident heavy all morning long, so we do have accident here 422 westbound past oaks, and you're traveling pretty slow, less than posted speeds throughout this area. this is around the area that we had a pedestrian accident, as well, norristown sweet road johnson highway. you can see flashing lights, just heads up, not going to slow you down at all. i just want to pull to your attention if that's your neighborhood. also, accident investigation, that we've been talking about all morning in pennsauken township, route 130 northbound , route 38, route 70 , all lanes are closed. so you will have to use an alternate. cuthbert boulevard is going to be your best bet still around this area. and then, the senior living community fire in west chester , talking about this closure, that is still out, there as well, coming up in a little bit. jim, over to you. >> thank you shall meisha. sex assault scandal rocking hollywood has reached capitol hill. minnesota democrat senator is apologizing woman comes forwards accusing him of sexual misconduct. stems from 2006uso tour

captured. this video from the press of atlantic city shows police arresting 18 year old michael hug nuns atlantic city yesterday. they broke out of the harbor youth detention center in he can harbor city wednesday. the three others were captured the same day they escaped. >> philadelphia police investigating the stabbing death of port richmond man. the victim found wednesday night in the 2500 block every east lehigh avenue. officers say the man lived in the home with his family. neighbors say he was a beloved member of their community, at this point, police have made no arrests. >> well, philadelphia school system will soon be in the hands after local school board once again. >> last night the school reform commission voted to disband with three voting yes, one no, one distention. returned the school district to local control for the first time since 2001. that's when the state took over to get the district's finances in order. >> we've been fighting for this for quite a long time, 16

what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. >> i need all that i can get. >> we'll take it, right? let's take a look, the one that will bring in the wind in the first place, not just wind , it is rain, and for some of you little bit of snow. i don't think that will accumulate per say, but we are going to see snowflakes fly as cold air catches up. so let's look at the winds gust, future wind gust, we start with just this afternoon still noticeable breeze but we'll encounter nothing but sun the rest of the day. then it eases up. notice what waits in the wings more winds in central pa, it really kicks up as the cold front with this storm starts to cross. if this verifies, that's enough strong wind to easily sends, you know, maybe some of those decorative pumpkins flying off your porch that kind of thing. keep that in mind, it will be very blustery saturday night, lingers into early sunday morning, so look at this, you could be contends withing just even very early, gusts still even into the 40's, but at least 30, 35 miles per hour, yes, that's vicious stuff.

does on friday morning, the great merrill reese. merrill, good morning. >> morning, pat, i'm excited. >> so let's -- i don't want to get too far ahead of myself but you've been around this team for a long time. where does this team stack up as far as some of the other great eagles teams that you've been around? >> reese: too early to say, really is, this is very, very good team, and they've got a terrific young quarterback, and there is no real apparent weakness on the team. going into the season, you felt oh, the secondary, the deep secondary, the corners will have a problem. no, they've played well. so, there are no apparent weaknesses on the team. but, to really evaluate them, to stack them up against other teams, weaver at least, at least seven games to go in this regular season. so, let's not get ahead of ourselves. >> let's talk about weaknesses on the ordinary side, the dallas cowboys will be without elliot, without smith last week, disaster, gave up six

sacks to claiborne alone, with that said, how are you feeling about this game? >> reese: i'm feeling good about it. but it is still dallas. and it is still down there. the other player who is out is sean lee. who is the weak side linebacker one of the two best players on their entire defense, but they still have de marcus laurence has 11 and a half sacks leading the nfl. and they still finds ways to make things difficult. last year, if you remember, the eagles let one slip away down there, and doug pederson was pretty critical this week every his own decisions in that game, at least a couple of them. but the eagles have to come out strongly, they have to be able to run the ball against the cowboys, get rid of it quickly, a lot of short passes , and then, finds the opening down the field. but i think they'll be okay but i'm not one to say oh, they'll go down down there and renew light the cowboys, a lot of work to do first. >> great merrill reese joining us as he always does, you can listen to him on the call with mike quick this sunday night, as the eagles take on the

everybody. at 10:46 p.m. last night the west chester pier department was dispatched to the barkley prince home at 700 north franklin street in the west chester borough. the report of a smoke investigation. police, first responders, and the first arriving units encountered very heavy fire conditions, numerous residents were evacuated, and many rescues were affected by the fire and police personnel. at this time emergency personnel have relocated residents to several locations , and are working to connect the resident who were transported to the local hospitals or shelter for safety with their families. this incident is still active. we will give you as much information as we can. just couple of notes: the fire was brought under control at 1:22 a.m. this morning. the size of the fire that went
