well, storm scan three is tracking showers around the area today this is a live look showing areas of rain, we will tell you spots most likely to see showers on this busy travel day before thanksgiving from the road to the rails to the airport hundreds of thousands of people in our area are getting ready to take off for their destination and we have team three coverage of what you can expect to encounter. it is wednesday november 22nd good morning i'm jim donovan. i'm rahel solomon. katie and meisha keeping an eye on things on this thanksgiving eve. >> well good morning, you guys we are looking at a crazy, busy travel day and i have been just bracing myself

because we have seen construction crews moving out of the way but places we don't typically see bumper to bumper condition but we are seeing conditions build. >> it is busy. >> yes. >> i actually saw justin drabick over at kyw naus radio traffic center. he was tweeting yesterday that things were looking a typically heavy. so i guess everyone is just kind of getting ready to go out. >> yes. >> i guess everybody has the same idea. you mentioned there is some rain out there right now, coming down in some spots very heavily, yes, thinks not ideal travel. would i just try to wait it out especially down here near parts of the cape may, atlantic, burlington ocean counties, we have got not just light to moderate but some spots very soaking rain that is currently coming down across kent, sussex county, included in that and then on the tail end of the three hour loop moving up i-95 this little batch of showers very likely to strike philadelphia in the next couple of hours. what is goodies that it gets out quickly.

final destination is give yourself a couple extra minutes. it will help you. construction schuylkill westbound between south street and 30th street that right lane compromised off ramp still closed, that however is clearing. also, schuylkill westbound between montgomery drive and city avenue that left lane is still compromised but we are starting to see crews right now and it looks like they are getting this moved out of the way. so hopefully in the next 10 minutes or so, hopefully they will be completely moved out of your way but already again moving in the westbound direction on the schuylkill already starting to pick up speed there as well. vine, construction, this guy, moving out of our way looking good westbound and eastbound and overturn vehicle in tinicum township that has been since cleared, jim, back over to you. we now have team three coverage of the holiday travel rush trang do is live at 30th street station in center city where commuters will hit the rails this holiday. >> lets begin with jan carabao live at philly international as millions of travelers get ready to hit the sky, good morning, jan.

>> reporter: rahel and jim, good morning, tsa recommends getting to the airport two hours early for your flight. we are expecting very long lines at airports all across the country and here at philadelphia international airport that is no exception. very long line as soon as we arrived at 4:15 but line is moving pretty quickly. even they there are long lines here it doesn't seem like there are any other problems as we look at phl departures board, everything here is on time. it will be a very busy week for air travelers. in fact largest get in travel is by air travel, triple a reports that close to 9 percent of the people who are traveling by air this holiday weekend in the five county philadelphia region 53,000 people are flying to their destination, that is up 5 percent from last year, so here to talk about what is driving this trendies triple a mid-atlantic jane tidwell g to see you. >> good morning. >> always a busy morning. what is behind the growth in air travel. >> growth in travel in jennies due to a strong economy, a

strong labor market and increase in consumer confidence. people feel confident they can use their income for holiday travel this year. of course, triple a is seeing 23 percent drop in airfares for those who book travel for the thanksgiving holiday weekend so that is definitely helping as well. >> extra smiles on peoples faces saving that much money what should people do if they are taking i plane and get out of town is what your advice. >> you definitely want to arrived two hours in advance. that does not account for your drive time getting to the airport. you want to account for that separately. when you get here you want to account for tsa screenings, in terms of the removing your shoes, children and older travelers don't to have do that. 3-ounce containers of liquids out if you are carrying them out in the zip-lock bags and traveling with electronic anything larger then your cell phonied to be removed as you go through security screening and put in those bins.

are investigating an overnight house fire in west philadelphia fire fighters quickly put out flames in the belmont neighborhood. call went out before midnight in the 800 block of north holy street. they had flames under control in less than 20 minutes. there are in injuries reported president trump is defending alabama republican senate candidate roy moore despite multiple allegations of sexual misconduct against him. before taking off for thanksgiving at mar lag owe the president questioned why his alleged victims waited so long to come forward? he blasted moore's democratic opponent doug jones. president has not ruled outing to goal bam to campaign for moore, he said he will make a decision next week. house ethics committee is investigating a sexual harassment settlement involving john conyers month. man claimed conyors fired her for not accepting his sexual advances. he denies allegations saying he settled to void a long legal battle. but here at home search continues for two people missing since a devastating fire destroyed a senior living

community in west chester. meanwhile atf says it has foundry mains of the two other people missing since thursday night's fire at barclay friend s senior center. investigators made those discoveries yesterday. the cause of the fire is still under investigation. meantime pennsylvania's attorney jennies weighing a request to take over prosecution of the penn state fraternity hazing case. center county newly elected district attorney reaccused himself yesterday due to a conflict of interest. you may recall timothy piazza died after a night of heavy drinking at beta theta pi fraternity house back in february. twenty-six people faced charge that he is range from involuntary manslaughter to liquor law violations. e-mails of the pennsylvania congressman bob brady are under fbi scrutiny this morning as investigation into campaign payments ramps up, investigators are looking into accusation that is brady paid a political opponent $90,000 to get him to drop out of the primary race from 2012. two political consultant pleaded in the guilty in the case.

alley which connects naval to fort lauderdale. official where is able to get the bear back into the wild. and more bears are on the run, police officer spotted this momma bear and her cubs in california on monday, they were seen walking right outside cvs pharmacy in that hoe city. once mother bear saw the cop cruiser she gathered up her cubs and they made a run for it. >> can you imagine. >> getting out of town, going to cvs, pick up your prescription and is there a bear. >> alligator alley were they making their way to bear boulevardy don't know but that seems unbearable for those officers. >> let's all pause, and reflect on that one. >> your turn, jim. >> i don't have any, too early >> you need another cup of coffee. >> a lot of people hitting the road this is morning and we can see rain is moving in. >> where exactly going to be affect today. >> it is all about location, location, say it with me, location. it really is southeastern

counties, shore points even more specifically where we will find the issues and it is just this morning but do i think we will see damp road, across philadelphia county and immediate vicinity too. we will get to that in a second. let me show you the overall pattern here first, what we have happening is a transition , there is two pieces of energy. first we have a cold front that sliver of yes, snow across north and western pennsylvania, and then we have got this area of low pressure. good news for us that these pieces are not connecting because that can create a nasty scenario for travelers but we do still have issues nonetheless even as this area have low pressure tries to move out to sea. so we have that moisture being drawn in, anyway, just not every where, so notice right on the tail end of this loop, we will see that locally, it is, pretty maryland rate rainfall is coming in across parts of the maryland, moving right up i-95. new castle county, delco, chester, good portion of the our area. if you go far enough north and west you will be immune to all

of it, but there are issues to be had to the early morning travel we have going on here across the southeastern 23rd of our area damp board telling the story here in rehoboth. this is a wetter spot of our area with the rain coming down at lee, light but generally moderately and it is consistent, non-stop right now at lee for time being until that rotates away. elsewhere, things have been in fact stayed very dry through overnight hours. just depending where you starting your trip. but this morning we will give you the yellow light here. most of us will be clearing out as early as late morning or in the afternoon and in weather problems say for a breeze, granted as we hit the road to head home or maybe you are going elsewhere for upcoming holiday. wind will be picking up as we mentioned but skies are clearing, high hits 55. we are close to. that do not expect much of the rebound on the way of the thermometer and quickly looking at eyewitness weather seven day, come tomorrow we are looking bright, sunny mid
