mainly, throughout the day. our temperatures are on the cool side of things, though, 37 degrees in philadelphia, and actually in the 20's in allentown. 27 degrees, there. even 20's down the shore in atlantic city. thirty in wildwood. it is 27 in millville. and in delaware we have temperatures checking in right around 33 degrees. and both wilmington as well as dover. we are warmer, compared to this time yesterday. in fact, 5 degrees warmer in philadelphia. 10 degrees warm nerve mount pocono. this is going to be the trend, as we head into the afternoon. yesterday's high temperature right around 51. we are going to be warmer than that. storm scan3, shows, that we are dry for now. but as i zoom out, you will see some green on the map and some white. that's cloud cover. slight rate fawn as a result at the end of day today. increasing in clouds, and outside the boundary it will be very mild. fifty-seven by the afternoon,

we could see sprinkle for points north, especially up into the poconos. more coming up in your exclusive forecast, for now, back to you. >> chelsey, thank you. >> it is 6:00. time to check the roads. let's go over to amanda mueller in the cbs-3 traffic center. hi, amanda. >> hi, jan, taking live look at 95 at the vine, near the ben franklin bridge. not many folks out there. this is what you'll see on most of the roadways in the area. maybe because of the holiday. maybe everyone decided to sleep in today. aside from the construction closure, weaver one, been pretty quiet. here we go. bells mill road between henry avenue and germantown pike, will be closed for construction, starting today, in about an hour. that's scheduled to start at 7:00 this morning, and last until 6:00 this evening, for detour there, through indoor road onto northwestern avenue before taking right back onto germantown. it caused too many problems as traffic remains low today. final live look at the boulevard, everyone out for drive already this morning, moving along problem-free here and on all of your majors, in

the cbs-3 traffic center. amanda mueller, jan, back to you. >> amanda, thank you. new this morning, car hit tree along roosevelt boulevard, killing one person. it is not yet clear what caused this crash. which happened right around 2:30 this morning on the boulevard at ben err street. a passenger died there at the scene. the driver is now in stable condition at aria-torresdale hospital. >> fire swept through home in pennsauken new jersey this morning. this call came in just after 1:00, to this house, on the 1100 block of cove road. the fire was under control in less than 30 minute, and everyone was able to get out safely. the red cross is taking care of seven people, who are now without a place to stay. >> smaller merchants hoping to take a big bite out of the big box stores today. it is small business saturday. and those shops around the corner are hoping to attract and keep new customers. we are here, one of our favorite stores, i actually want to move it, because it is gorgeous in here. so, again, joining me now, jill asher, from the center city district, and while jill is speaking, let's take a tour of the store. because it is so cute in here, jill watch can people expect here today? >> so doing discounts for how many pieces you buy. so one item, 10% off, two items, 20% off, so there is definitely incentive to stock up on all of the amazing gift, accessories, amazing candling, so some unique items you can find in here. a lot of them are on my list, personally. so again, some incentives to stock up. >> yes, and a lot of just really specialty items that you can't finds in a larger mall or something like, that so that's very exciting. but on a larger scale, what does small business saturday mean to a lot of the retailers here in center city specially because nearly 08% of them are local? >> exactly. amazing tenant mix here. so you can find some

absolutely amazing pieces. again, you wouldn't find anywhere else. so for the retailers really about the experience. so, they want people to come down to center city, experience all that the city has to offer, maybe take a skate at the ice skating rink at dilworth park, come shop around, grab lunch with what their loved one, so real that i festive holiday experience that is so special and unique to center sit. >> i how much have we seen center city grow in the past several years? >> it has been unbelievable. there is still so much construction, in center city district area, but right here, in rittenhouse square, you can see all of the different retailers have grown, and expanded, so it has been a really exciting time for philadelphia. >> absolutely. so we're so excited to be inside here today. and of course, throughout the day, as well, once these stores open. a lot of the stores opening early. >> correct. yes. opening early. they're excited for the retail tears come down. big big weekend for them already. and they're just excited for it to continue.

>> absolutely. and, something else that is exciting is that starting from now, up until the new year, there will actually be freon street parking here around center city. on saturday days, so if you would like to come down, and you need a car, you will be able to find parking today likely. for now live from rittenhouse square, anita oh, cbs-3 " eyewitness news." >> i have a feeling that store will keep you very busy for the next 30 minutes, anita. >> jan, i'm already very busy inside here, i send it back to you so i can get back to work. >> thank you, anita. >> stores along east passyunk avenue in south philly are hoping shoppers take part in hashtag shop small. well, big retailers are often the focus on "black friday," even saturday and sunday as well, locally owned and independent businesses still hope you'll do business with them, manayunk is also participating, and in many places, there will be free parking, musical performances, and other festive tis. >> financial experts are predicting the average shopper will be spending more money this holiday season. while that's good news for the

economy, some retailers were feeling a little bit bruised on "black friday," after suffering a few glitches. andy roast reports. >> the holiday shopping season has officially started. and while the national retail federation says the average person will spend more than $900 each this holiday season, "black friday" got off to a rough start for a few retailers. seattle, hundreds of black lives matter protesters gathered at shopping center, blocking the entrance to norstrom downtown, waist now become annual event. macy had issues with processing credit card transactions, nationwide, causing longer than expected lines in stores, and frustration for on-line buyers some j.c. penney customers were not happy to find out coupons that range between ten and $500 were not being handed out at its doors, the change in their coupon trolley is did not sit well with some customers. >> this year coupons were handed out on thanksgiving day , and will be handed out again on saturday.

the lowe's website temporarily went down while some of those irritated customers expressed their frustration on social media. and, a mall in miami dade county was temporarily evacuated friday afternoon, while police investigated a possible shooting, which turned out to be false alarm. security says someone pulled the fire alarm, after something fell, causing zero loud noise, police cleared the mall shortly after arriving on scene. i'm andy rose reporting. >> and in other news this morning, british police believe two men in a fight caused a panic in london. the scare happened in a shopping district there, packed with people, looking for "black friday" deals. some shoppers were seen running, while other hid inside the stores. heavily armed police swarmed the area going shop to shop looking for reported gunman. but there is no evidence of gunfire, still one eyewitness describes the hectic scene. >> i heard someone like boom boom, three times it, seemed -- i can't be sure, i can't see, but afterward

everybody is screaming and just rushing inside the store. everybody just hiding somewhere. it is so terrible. >> yes, and one woman suffered minor injury while trying to get to a safe place. >> meantime, the death toll from the attack on an egyptian mosque now exceeds 300 people. islamic extremists opened fire and through grenades during prayers, block their victim's path of escape. as kenneth craig reports, the country is now observing three days of mourning. >> and an unknown number every gunmen converged on the mosque on friday. inside, hundreds of worshippers were gathered for prayers. the massacre started with some kind of explosion. arm men, then stormed the building, and opened fire. as people tried to flee, they were shot by gunmen positioned outside the exit. arriving ambulances, also came under fire, the death toll soured past 200, before the killers escaped.

>> they destroyed everything except one man who made it out they said most of the people in the mosque and the had a been killed. friday's bloodshed happened in egypt's north sinai region, and recent years, the area has been a battleground between islamic militants, and the egyptian government. there have been no claims of responsibility for friday's attack. which target add mostly soupy mosque. suspicion fell to isis, because the group considers that branch of islam to be blasphemous. in a televised address, egypt 's president vowed to avenge the attack, he also declared three national days of mourning. in a tweet, president trump called the attack horrible and cowardly. the state department condemned it as an unconscionable act of evil. kenneth craig, for cbs-3 " eyewitness news". >> president trump's former national security advisor may be moving toward cooperation with special council's russia investigation. lawyers for michael flynn

communicating with the president's legal team. one of the president's lawyers told cbs news, the mood could mean flynn may be negotiate ago plea deal, but he says it, has nothing to do with the president. the president fired flynn three weeks after the inauguration, for misleading the vice president about his contacts with russia. >> meanwhile, the president is mixing work and play in florida he spent about four hours at trump national gulf club in jupiter playing golf with tiger woods, and afterward returned to his private club in miami beach. they insist it is not a vacation, the president tweeted that he's working to bring more jobs and companies back to the us. >> first he lost his job with cbs, pbs, now two university have revoked journalism awards they gave to charlie rose. arizona state university and the university of kansas made their decision after several women accused rose of sexual misconduct. earlier this week, rose

>> welcome back, check this out, guys. three bears rum and through trash cans outside a california shopping mall. have now become a social media sensation. no wonder why. they're super cute. northern california sheriff deputy caught them on video during his nighttime rounds. the bears were looking for food. outside of the taco bell, and cvs pharmacy, eventually, the trio just runs away, and the deputy was left with a funny story to show-and-tell his friends. they were just out looking for a bite to eat, chelsey. >> they were. cute. >> like many people today, going to stroll the streets, shopping? >> strolling around, maybe putting up christmas decorations. >> yes. >> today do you normally do that the day after thanksgiving, and it is christmas time. >> i do. >> then the upcoming week i'll be getting the dog races up. weather watchers busy putting their christmas decorations,

already, ed connor, he says christmas lights, just look at that will very beautiful. very simple. very, very nice. our temperatures, this morning , are checking in on the chilly side of things. twenty's, 30's, according to several of our weather watchers, okay, ed in chesterfield says it is 30 degrees at his house, with nice christmas lights. marty in pennsylvania, 26 degrees. we have kenneth in willingboro , new jersey at 32. and jenny in cherry hill at 29 . and then, john in pennsylvania , says it is 24 degrees in his backyards, live look at center city, 37 degrees, dry, we have that skyline, illuminated, simply looks beautiful as we are starting out your saturday morning, but yes, indeed, it is chilly out there. we have 20's, 30's, on the map across the delaware and lehigh valley. it is 27 degrees right now in allentown, 37 degrees up in the poconos. we have 31 degrees in reading, 30 in lancaster and delaware, in the low 30's, 32 degrees in

wilmington, it is 33 in dover. down the shore, 20's, 30's, 29 in atlantic city, and it is right around 32 degrees in wildwood. we are warmer, though, compared to 24 hours ago. 5:30, in philadelphia. full 10 degrees warmer up in the poconos. this will be the going trend as we head throughout the day today. yesterday's high, 51. today, some areas are going to max out to near 60 degrees. wouldn't surprise me if some thermometers out there do hit zero six. fifty-nine today in millville. fifty-nine this afternoon in wildwood. fifty-eight atlantic city, and 57 for that afternoon high temperature in philadelphia. so, out ahead of frontal boundary headed our way we will be warmer than average. behind that frontal boundary we are going to be colder than average. that means, sunday, high temps only in the 40's, so doesn't be surprised if when you head out tomorrow to the eagles game, it is going to feel much colder compared to what we will deal with throughout the day today. in no time, back up to near 60 o

wednesday. >> we have some south- southwest, keeping us mild, behind it, flow out of the northwest, bringing in the chillier air. there is not whole lot of rain associated with this frontal boundery. as it moves through, we have just got so much dry air in place, hard to ring out too much in the way of precipitation, but i do think we have the risk of areas upper north, to see shower or sprinkle, mostly isolated in nature, as we led into the latter part of the day today. maybe even couple of flurries up in the poconos, high pressure builds on in for sunday, things turning breezy. so mild today. high temperature anywhere from five to 10 degrees above average for this time of year. stray sprinkle or shower, for points north, mainly on up into the poconos, then turning chilly, for part two of the weekend. here's your forecast for today milder with increasing clouds. high right around 57. heading into the overnight hours tonight. you can look for low temperature of 41 degrees, partly cloudy skies, and things clearing out fairly quickly, especially as we head into sunday morning.

if you are headed to the eagles game, as i mention, temperatures are going to be in the 40's, from kick-off to the fourth quarter, also going to be breezy, so that's going to make it feel even chillier out there springfield four's, definitely good idea to bundle up. even if you are sitting on the sunny side every things. forty-nine on sunday for the high temperature. fifty-four monday. tons of sunshine. warming up tuesday. 59 degrees as we head into wednesday. we're going to be pleasant, milder, can you believe it, 60 h temperature. as we move into thursday, 55, friday, 53, but overall, we are talking about a very mild ends to the month of november. so talking about shopping today. today is a great day, another great place to go shopping in the city, right in philadelphia's city hall. right in the shadow. dilworth park has been transformed into a winter shopping wonderland. you can find lots of great things right there. at the made in philadelphia

holiday market. recently i had the chance to chat with core even a boyer. she showed us some of the interesting food items for sale. and the best thing about them is that they're all locally made. >> we have pickles, beats root , dog treats from our vendor good boy. we also have cannoli's. >> cannoli's from food truck, can you believe that? >> amazing, different flavors, too. >> macrons reasons? >> yes yes, finishing sauces, perfect with seafood and meats and we have sugar cookies from picket fence. and they come in every size you can imagine, every shape, yes. >> so how many vendors do we have out here? >> more than 50. >> so these are all local goods? >> yes, all from the trucks in the area. >> can you tell me about the hours and you guys also open on the holidays.

>> yes, we are. the only day we are closed is christmas eve, but open 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. weekdays, and friday's and saturdays open until 8:00 p.m. >> that's one stop shopping. there is something for everyone at the made in philadelphia market. >> talk about shopping small and supporting local economy. >> i spent little too much money when i was there this week, when you go there, bring an extra bag, because you're going to take home quite a bit of stuff. >> looked like a lot of cute items. thank you, chelsey: speaking of dilworth park, 27th annual santa express trains pick up and dropped off passenger, and helpers handed out holiday gift bags, too, and when everyone arrived, guess what santa and mrs. clause arrived as well, they took laps around the ice rink before asking children what was on their christmas wish lists.

of orders at a local toys "r" us. >> and mild weather to end the thanksgiving week. but it won't last long. when we could see the thermometer drop. >> good morning, everyone, i'm jan carabeo. let's start you off with that forecast. meteorologist, chelsey ingram out there on the cbs-3 skydeck with eyewitness weather. good morning, kelly. >> good morning, jan, good morning to you at home. chilly start out here. temperatures generally are in the 20's, and 30's, really across the entire delaware valley. let me take you now to live look at the city, beautiful look there with the skylites still illuminated, dry start, mostly clear skies, but that is going to be changing throughout the day today. as i mentioned, temperatures on the chilly side of things. we have 27 degrees in allentown, 35 in philadelphia, 32 degrees in wilmington, 33 in dover, we're in the 20's, in millville, upper 20's to right around 30 degrees down the shore. it is 30 right now in wildwood throughout the day today, we will be turning milder. also, seeing increasing clouds

will have coffee bar, maybe some donuts. lots of good things. >> so here are our photograph is her kind of showing some of the items that you guys have sable. can you talk specifically with what shoppers can expect here inside the store? >> we carry our own brand, ell e laurie which our designer create locally, we have our design studio in hatboro, pennsylvania, so everything is pretty local. she grew up around here, i did , we also carry other brands like 360 cashmere, designer denim, comfy, wild fox. >> and you guys have been doing this for the past several years. what does small business saturday mean to you guys? >> we love it. we grew up around here. we have friends here. we shop here. it is like money back into the local businesses, around, because if you stop here, you're going to stop at other businesses, too. it create jobs around here for everyone locally. we really love it. we love staying local. >> yes. and how long have you been working here and also what is it that got you involved in the first place? >> i have been with elle lawyer which four years now, i started when retail, became

the assistant buyer. i just love it. she is so passionate about it. i can see why. it is an awesome business store for all of the girls that work for us are amazing. so just an awesome company. >> and being local is obviously so important to you as be be be be somebody who is local. >> yes, i grew up in the suburbs of philadelphia. i went to archbishop wood. now i live in center sit. >> i so exciting. jan, you mentioned i'm having a field day in here, i want to move in, it is so awesome inside here, also that we should mention, as well, there is freon street meter parking from now through new years, every say day 11:00 a.m. to midnight. so if you want to come down here, need a space to park it will be free for you. so for now live along rittenhouse square, anita oh. >> you have to be efficient that time, you got time this morning, anita, how about it? >> absolutely. >> small business saturday of course comes on the heals of " black friday." for morning, to night, shoppers and merchant were very busy. hunters. >> the crack of dawn grab a deal are a special deal indeed >> these are never stop shopping shirt. we do consider ourselves a little bit of shop aholics. but we look forward to this every single year. >> i think i'm shop-a-holic. so this is easy for me. >> malls from king of prussia, to christianna, to cherry hill >> it is really craze any here and there is no parking. >> along with outdoor venues, like the gloucester premium outlets, hit with waves of eager bargain hunters. >> i'm little bit after wait. but that's okay. worth the wait for the discount. >> but as "black friday" turns to evening, a different kind of shopper emerged. >> i don't like going to the malls, it is too crowded. >> for some, finding those deals is more after duty than a delight. in fact, this shopper sums up "black friday," as? >> economic hype. >> economic hype? >> that's heavy stuff. and in center city? >> ♪ >> hands were just as full for these weary but persistent shoppers who have been out since the morning rush. >> the night is like a lot less crowded than in the morning. so i feel like a lot of people
