live from the cbs broadcast center in philadelphia. this is cbs-3 "eyewitness news " this morning. new this morning, a tire tyronn among the clues found at the scene of a shooting in the talcony section of the city. one man is rushed to the hospital in critical condition we'll have the latest. also, this morning, the latest on the deadliest terror attack in egypt history of the egyptian military now responding after hundreds were killed during a ambush at a mosque. and game day for the philadelphia eagles. the birds host the bears at the linc today and look to extend their winning streak to nine in a row. today is sunday, november 26th. good morning, i'm jan carabeo, let's get right to the forecast, here is meteorologist, chelsey ingram with eyewitness weather. good sunday morning, chelsey.

how is it doing out there today? >> yesterday gorgeous, right, beautiful afternoon, felt good , but don't be surprised today will be chillier, especially as we head into the afternoon hours. let me take you now to live look at the city from palmyra cove nature park, skyline simply beautiful, illuminated, under mostly clear to partly cloudy skies as we start out your sunday morning, you might look at the temperatures and say okay, that's not that bad. the only issue is as we head into the afternoon, the numbers really aren't going to be warming up all that much. forty-six right now in philadelphia. low four's wilmington at 43 degrees, 43 millville, here in the mid and upper 40's down the shore, 44 degrees atlantic city, 48 degrees right now in wildwood. there is a little bit after windchill. we have winds out of the west and northwest at around five to 10 miles per hour, so it feels more like low 40's out, there feels like the upper 30 's in wilmington and mid 30 's in lancaster and poconos feels more like the 20's, your

eyewitness weather daily planner by the afternoon like i told you, really not going up all that much by the noon hour, 48 degrees, 50 degrees later this afternoon, with the winds it will feel even colder than what we see on the thermometer, more coming up in your exclusive forecast, for now, back to you. >> thank you. new this morning, police are looking for a gunman after a shooting in northeast philadelphia overnight. this shooting took place just after 2:00 this morning, near the intersection every glenloch and welling ton streets. investigators say, a man and a woman were driving home from a bar when they saw a car with two men behind them. when the man and woman got out of their car the fight broke out. >> everybody else got out, approached them with a tire iron. the woman's 30 year old male companion was shot twice. >> that man is currently in critical condition. so far, no other information is out about the shooters. >> and, police have a man in custody following an overnight

stabbing in center city this happened on the 21 street and pennsylvania avenue. down the block from a police station. two nearby officers returned to the scene after hearing a manuel that he was being staged. they immediately arrested the suspect there. fifty-six year old victim now in critical condition, no word yet on what led to this stabbing but we are told that the victim and the suspect my each other. >> no arrests this morning after overnight shooting in the logan section of north philadelphia, 31 year old man shot around 1:00 this morning while sitting in a car. shooting happened near 15th and lowden streets. the victim hit in the neck but was able to get out of his car and get help. he was hospitalized. his condition is unknown this morning. mercer county authorities are investigating a shooting involving trenton police. investigators say, two officers shot a suspect, after he reached for a gun in his waistband. that man was returned to the hospital. no officers were hurt. "eyewitness news" reporter alycia ya picks up the story. >> authorities in new jersey

investigating an officer involved shooting after around 5:15, trenton street crimes unit stopped a group of men along pennington unit. authorities say while conducting their investigation , with these men, it was discovered that one of them was armed with a handgun in his waistband. when police made the discovery they say the man pulled away from detectives and started running. then moments later he reached for the gun from his waistbands as he turned his body toward detectives. two trenton officers discharged their firearms and the man was struck. the man running and shot by police collapsed in the back of a home along pennington avenue. authorities were able to recover a handgun in a nearby yard, and they say no officers were injured during this event but then in the chaos of things the other men who police had stopped, they were able to flee the scene. authorities say the man shot by police was transport today capitol health regional medical center where he is being treated for his injuries , authorities are not release that man's name nor

his condition at this time. in trenton, alicia, cbs-3, " eyewitness news." police in bensalem are looking for answers after they found a man and woman dead. officers responded around 5:30 last night to reports after shooting near the cornwells heights park and ride. that's where they found the two victims. all eastbound lanes of woodhaven road to 95 north were closed but have since reopened. investigators surrounded a silver vehicles on the ramp there, police not releasing any more details at this time. >> we're learning more about egypt's deadly terror attack from the survivors. extremists tossed grenades, opened fire, killing more than 300 people and wounding 100 others. as mola lenghi reports, egypt military is now striking back. >> egyptian fighter jets carried out multiple air strikes saturday on vehicles believe to be involved in the massacre in a mosque in northern sinai. nearly 300 people were killed,

from five to even 12 miles per hour now in philadelphia. 10 miles p err who in allentown, yelding, just little bit, after windchill out there. feels more like the low 40's, in town, 38 degrees is what it feels like, in wilmington. feels more like the 20's up in the poconos, and as we head into the afternoon today, we will be dealing with windchill values only in the upper 30's, and low 40's, so it will feel even colder than what we see on the thermometer. and temperatures aren't rising all that much. as we head throughout the afternoon hours today. by noontime, we are in the upper 40's, as things really turn breezy, have winds coming out of the northwest anywhere from ten to 20 miles per hour, we could even see some gusts upwards of 30, cooler afternoon, high temperature only around 50 degrees. and it is all thanks to dip in the jet stream. we call this a trough. that bridges in colder air down from canada. but here is the thing. heading into the next several days, we will see the trough lifting up to the north and east, a ridge builds in, as the jet stream lifts north, pull in some milder air from

the south, and temperatures are going to be on the rise as a result. so, by monday, low 50's, then up ear's headed into tuesday. low 60s by wednesday, easily five to 10 degrees above average in many locations, by the middle of the week. thursday is the last day of november. and even then we are going to be finishing out the month on mild note with above average temperatures. here is a look at storm scan three very quiet, couple of snow showers going on, up into new england, if you have family that's going to be traveling today, big travel day, maybe some friends traveling home, as well, looking across the nation, not seeing any major problems. we have some shower action up in the pacific northwest, couple of showers down in florida, overall looking pretty good for the travelers. game day forecast, temperatures in the 40's, all the way from kick off to the fourth quarter, even postgame, but it will feel even chillier when you factor in the winds, probably feeling more like the low 40's out there. for the game goers, because

>> wack on "eyewitness news," growing form of identity theft and it is shockingly simple. change every address fraud. joel i was discovered the problem may be much bigger than the us postal service has been willing to admit. >> your address. few digits and street name, holds the key to your identity and with a stroke after pen, that key can end up in the wrong hands.

just ask frank and rebecca. >> need to do better job of protecting our mail. >> wasn't until they discovered someone forwards dollars their mail to an address, learned every growing form every id theft. >> begins when a crook fills out change of address form at the post offers, rerouting your mail to a p.o. box or address of their choice. >> can you tell me where it is being sent? >> , no can't. >> seriously. >> frank's case along with his forwarded mail, they got his medicare card, social security number, and attempted to open up a credit cards. >> what is surprising how easy it was, the change in address. >> donna henry discovered her address had been changed when the gas pump declined her credit cards for entering the wrong zip code. when she called the credit card company to straighten it out, she discovered it was easier for someone tolls change her address than it was for her to change it back. >> they wouldn't change the address on my word, yet the post office could do it. >> at issue, a weakness in the

post office's change of address process. all it takes is an address and forward signature to reroute someone's mail. which 2008 audit by the inspector general's offers it, could crib to identity theft. now nearly decade later we've learned that problem is widespread. postal inspection service claimed it received only 750 reports annually of possible fraud nationwide. but, following a freedom of information act request, the agency now admits to us it is actually received more than 17,000 complaints over the past year alone, and the us postal service has tens every thousands more. >> those are federal offense. >> postal inspector says there are some safeguards in place to help prevent this casino every fraud. for instance, they require a yesterday the cards with a matching address, change in address on line, but no id required to fill out hard copy change of address form and pop it in the mail. also sends change of address notification to both the new and old addresses but crooks can get around that with

another form that puts mail delivery to the old address on vacation hold. really, anybody can change my address by simply filling out a form. what's being done to prevent it. >> again, constantly accessing security. >> in a statement the postal service tells us it is continuously implementing security enhancement, though, not seen by the general public , to enhance the security of our change of address process. >> i think without id, you shouldn't just automatically sends the mail. >> great for people like donna , requiring an i.d. for an address change, seems like an obvious solution. and in the meantime, they want to warn you. >> nobody is safe. nobody's mail is safe. >> now the postal inspector tells us bad guys already know about this scam. it is important that we educate you, too, be on the look-out for a decrease in your mail. you may still get some after it is forwarded and report fraud immediately to the postal inspector. cbs news, san francisco. still ahead right here on

>> good morning, i'm jan carabeo, a lot of people getting ready to head out the door, big travel day, of course, game day with the eagles, so let's get right out to chelsey ingram on the skydeck with the eyewitness weather forecast. >> good morning to you at home little chill until air this morning when you step outside. let me show you the numbers across the region, you might look at the numbers, you know what, that's not that bad. temperatures won't rise that much. forty-three in millville, 44 atlantic city, and it is 48 degrees, right now, in wildwood. we do have a little bit of a windchill. and that's as a result of winds coming out of the west and northwest, anywhere from five to 15 miles per hour this

many other loyal fans here, up early, already setting up here outside of the linc for that game at 1:00 this afternoon against the chicago bears. now, i've spoke tone some of these fans to who say the birds looking like different team this season, currently the best records in the nfl and five game lead in the division. fans are watching closely hoping that the eagles can improve to ten and one today. the birds also well positioned to clinch the nfc east. and one super fan tells me that bleeding green runs in the family. his grandfather has had tickets since the 1940's. in that time, he says, the birds have transformed into a different team. >> oh, completely different team, sure. sure, they seem like a bunch of really great guys, and they seem to want to play for each other. they seem like a real cohesive team unit, you don't hear anything on the outside about them. it is all good. it is all good. >> it is all good indeed. these fans really go big.
