this hour, the only thing is, temperatures aren't going to be warming up too much. as we head into the afternoon. let me start you off with a live look here, beach patrol headquarters in margate. sunshine out, there and i think the beach is good any time of the year, always nice to be down the shore. 46 degrees in philadelphia, even in the off season, you know, 43 wilmington, 42 millville, down the shore we have temperatures in the mid to upper 40's, 48 degrees in wildwood, 45 in atlantic city, it is 44 in allentown, and we're in the low 30's, in the poconos. do have little bit every windchill factor, feels more like 41, in philadelphia, feels more like the upper 30s in wilmington, and actually feels lining the 20's now in the poconos. forecasting 51 down the shore with sunshine, chilly sunshine in the poconos, highs only making it into the upper 30's, then tack tore in the win, jan , going to feel even colder

more coming up in your full forecast for now back to you. >> breaking news, disturbing home invasion that took place in south philadelphia. officer say that just after 6:00 this morning, three men in masks broke into a home on the 2100 block of oakford street. head man 67 year old woman against her will, and pistol whipped her physically handicapped son according to police. the son's girlfriends also had been attacked. >> police arrived. they found this 35 year old woman, outside of the house, suffering one gunshot wound to the kneecap. >> both the son and his girlfriends are in stable condition. police don't have any suspect at the moment. they also don't know how the three men got into this home. they're hoping that nearby surveillance video will help in this investigation. we'll keep you up to date

on on line. >> police looking for one gunman after shotting in northeast philadelphia overnight. this shooting took place just after 2:00 this morning near the intersection of glenloch and welling ton street. investigators say man and women were driving home from a bar, when they saw a car with two men behind them. when the man and women got out of their car a fight broke out with the men in the car behind them. one of those men, police say, a tire iron. the victim was shot and taken to the hospital in critical condition. police have a man in custody following an overnight stabbing in center city. this stabbing happened on 21st a avenue. down the block from a police station. two nearby officers rushed to that scene after hearing a manuel for help. they immediately arrested the suspect, and the 56 year old victim is now in critical condition. no word yet on what led up to this stabbing, but we are told that the victim and the suspect new each other. no arrests yet after overnight shooting in the logan section of north

philadelphia. investigators say, a 31 year old man was shot around 1:00 this morning while sit ting in his car. shooting near 15th and lowden streetments he was able to get out of his car and get help. he was hospitalized. his condition unknown this morning. mercer county authorities are investigating a shooting involving trenton police. investigators say, two officers shot a suspect, when he reached for a gun, in his waistbands. the man was rushed to the hospital. no officers were hurt. "eyewitness news" reporter, alicia, picks up the story. >> authorities in new jersey, investigating an officer involved shooting after around 5:15 trenton street crimes unit stopped a group of men along pennington avenue near calhoun street. authorities say while conducting their investigation , with these men, it was discovered that one of them was armed with a handgun in his waistband. one when police made the discovery they say the man pulled away from detectives, and started running, then moments later, he reached for the gun from his waistbands as

he turned his body toward detectives. two trenton officers discharged their firearms, and the man was struck. the man running and shot by police collapsed in the back of a home along pennington avenue, authority were able to recover a hand gun in a nearby yard, and saying no officers were injured, during this event. but that in the chaos of things the other men who police had stopped, they were able to flee the scene. >> in transport today capitol health regional medical center being treated for his injuries , authorities are not releasing that man's name, nor his condition, at this time. in trenton, alicia, cbs-3, " eyewitness news." >> police still looking for answers after finding a man and a woman dead in bensalem. >> near the corn well height park and ride. that's where they found the two victims. all eastbound lanes on woodhaven road, to 95 north, were closed but have since reopened.

and investigators surrounded a silver vehicle on the ramp there, but they're not yet releasing any more details at this time. >> deadly terror attack from the survivors, extremists tossed grenades, killing more than 300 people, wounding 100 other. as mola lenghi reports, egypt 's military now striking back. >> cared out multiple air strikes saturday on vehicles believed to be involved in the massacre at a mosque in northern, more than 300 people were killed, including children, survivors say islamic extreme extremists took positions around the mosque, windows, doors opened fire with rocket propelled grenades, as the iman was about to deliver his sermon, attackers blocked all escape routes, 13 year old managed to get away. >> i'm sorry. >> everybody was climbing on top of each other trying to get out of the mosque, he said , as i tried to get out, a bullet entered my leg.

>> day after the ambush hospital hallways were spilled flooded with the injured grieving family looking. >> killed christians in cairo, but officials say the first ever large scale attack, on a muslim congregation. they isis brands dollars as blame famous, so far no one claimed responsible. the president of egypt has promised to responds with brutal force to those behind the attack. >> mola lenghi, cbs-3, " eyewitness news". >> argentina, relatives of the 44 crew members gathered for emotional demonstration at the march del platta naval base there. the navy says explosion happened near the time and place where that sub vanished back on november 15th. that led some people to give up hope. navy officials worry that even if the submarine is intact,

it feels more like 41 degrees. forty-three in wilmington, 43 millville, down the shore, temps in the mid and upper 40 's out there, it is 48 degrees currently in wildwood. forty-five in atlantic city, and allentown, 44, then in the poconos, checking in in the 30 's. right around 33 degrees there. now, here's a look at the winds, generally out of the west and northwest, all depend on where you live though. 9 miles per hour out of the west in philadelphia. out of the northwest in the poconos at 16. twelve in reading. twelve in lancaster. so yes, we do have windchill factor out there. we will, throughout the day today, we are going to have winds out of the northwest ten to 20 miles per hour, and by the afternoon we could actually see gusts higher than that. up to around 30. so it will feel more like the upper 30's, low 40's, pretty much all day. thirty-eight is what it feels like in reading. thirty-six in lancaster, feels more like 41 in philly and 39 degrees currently in wilmington. headed into the afternoon, those numbers aren't going to rise all that much.

so looking at high of 50 degrees in center city today. 49 degrees in wilmington, 47 degrees in reading. only around upper 30's in the poconos. and low 50's down the shore atlantic city, and wildwood. so it will be much chillier compared to what we dealt with yesterday. and that's all courtesy after big dip in the jet stream, we call it a trough. pulling in some colder air from canada. but it is not going to last all that long. just for today. okay? today probably the coolest day , out of the next five. so jet stream pushes up to the north, going to filter in warmer air from our south. and then by tuesday, wednesday , we are talking about high temperatures well above average for this time of year. so here's what i am talking about. 52 degrees on monday, up into the up ear's as we head into tuesday. and then by wednesday, talking high temperatures in the lower 60s, thursday, the last day of the month, last day of november. and even then, we are going to see the numbers above average for this time of year. big travel day overall no problems across the delaware and lehigh valley if they are

traveling locally. >> also, main, but overall, pretty quiet. couple of showers down in florida then some shower action expected on the west costes well today. overall no major problems that will get in the way up your travel. >> headed to the game today go birds. temperatures going to be in the 40's, also, breezy conditions, so keep in mind, even by the fourth quarter when we are in the upper 40's, it will feel much cooler, with that windchill factor: sin cooler, breezy, ooh for the high temperature headed into tonight seasonable low of 36 degrees and your seven day for the cast rook at the stretch, there of, through thursday, next chance every rain december 1st. >> 8:18 nowment time to check the roads, let's go over to amanda mueller. good morning, amanda. >> looking at it from paterson

avenue at broad street. most of your majors looking pretty fine, just like this. however, bring those sunglasses, going to be tough to see no matter where you're headed specially if you're going to go tailgate today. del rain, overturned vehicle, northbound past new albany road, all lanes still blocked, because every downed wires, and polls, and it is already causing some problems, so avoid this area if you can. and, finally, looking at some construction issues, right lane block on the atlantic city expressway westbound approaching route 73, this will cause a headache for bigger vehicles, all oversized vehicles need to exit before exit 28. in the cbs-3 traffic center, amanda mueller, jan, back to you. >> senior group is feeling specially thankful this holiday season. they have special mission keeping them helping and feeling useful. hit reporter stephanie stahl tells us about this unique program.

>> good morning, i'm jan carabeo, headed out the door for some shopping or maybe the eagles game? out the door with the eagles forecast. chelsey ingram out there on the cbs-3 skydeck with eyewitness wetter. >> good morning, everyone, good morning to you at home. temperatures on the cool side of things, as we start out your sunday morning, let me show you a look at the numbers across the region. 46 degrees right now in philadelphia. it is 43 in wilmington, 42 in millville. here in the mid and upper 40's down the shore, it is 45 atlantic city, 48 degrees currently in wildwood. we do have wind, coming in at about 10 miles per hour, so that's yelding winds chill factor, that's mainly in the low 40's, and some upper 30's, across the region.

that's kind of what it will feel like throughout much of the day today. high temperatures are going to be much cooler compared to what we dealt with yesterday. our forecasting high around 50 . fifty-one down the shore. and 39 degrees in the poconos. even the sunshine, not going to help to warm us up all that much. so here's what you can expect this week. a cool sunday. then nice stretch of sunshine. i'll let you know how long it lasts for. turning milder, also, as we led into wednesday, talking highs five to 10 degrees above average. i'll have more coming up in your full forecast, for now, sending it back to you. >> chelsey, thank you. >> the birds are back in philadelphia today looking to extends their eight game winning streak. they go up against the chicago bears this afternoon. "eyewitness news," was in center city yesterday, where several local shops were celebrating a day dedicated to them. small business saturday encourages people to shop local. and of course, now comes around every year. after "black friday." even philadelphia mayor jim kenney was out there shopping yesterday. he met with local business

owners in west philadelphia. >> you've may have been out at the mall and the stores all weekend long, but this holiday shopping season is just getting started. retailers are hoping that low unemployment, and high consumer confidence, will translate into strong sales. adrianna diaz reports from new york. >> "black friday" fading into gray. >> this is a crowded a mall as i've ever been in in my entire life. >> mall lines, store lines, proved otherwise, unlike years past, crowds were civilized. this best buy guaranteed shoppers a place in line to avoid fight. >> shoppers spent more than $5 billion on line up almost 17% over last year. up to half of those orders were on amazon, where top sellers included the electronic personal assistant, and ancestory dna testing kit and this pressure cooker. analysts say up to 90% every sales still happen in stores. but foot traffic was down, less than 1%, to lure shoppers

-- too far from here. let me take you to another live look at the reading area. this is 42 degrees there. winds out of the west northwest. there is a little bit after windchill. i'll show you the win chill numbers in just a bit. forty-six right now in philadelphia. it is 43 degrees in wilmington we are starting the morning out on the chilly side of things. but, you know, some of you might look at the numbers, and say i can deal with 40's at this hour, but as i told you, really not going to rise all that much headed into afternoon. upper 50s now in wildwood. 45 degrees atlantic city. allentown, 44. 33 degrees in the poconos. our winds, coming in out of the west, in philadelphia, 9 miles per hour, northwest, reading at 12. we do have a windchill factor this morning. it feels more like 41 in philadelphia. feels more like 39 in wilmington. actually feels like the 20's in the poconos. heading into the afternoon, with wind out of the west- northwest, we will see coming in sustained nip where from ten to 20 miles per hour, and we could actually see gusts even higher, so that means, we will be dealing with

a windchill, even heading into the afternoon. 50 degrees that's forecast high temperature today in philadelphia. up fourth's in wilmington, 51 in dover. also, looking at low 50's down the shore. as i told you, just not going to get all that much warmer from where we already are, courtesy of the dip in the jet stream. we call this a trough. pulling in some chillier air from canada. that's in place tore dollars for today. watch what happens, as we move into the next couple of days. big ridge builds in, the jet stream lift up to the north. and that's going to allow some mild air to filter in as a result. and when i say mild, we are talking significantly above average. as we head into tuesday, and wednesday, here's what i am talking about. we move up to 59 degrees by tuesday. on wednesday, high temperature of 62, thursday, the last day of november. and even then, our temps are going to be above average for this time of year. so ending the month of november on very mild note. storm scan three shows that we're very quiet here across

mueller in the traffic center. hi, amanda. >> jan, taking a live look at 76 eastbound at city avenue. it is right out there in spots , but other than that drivers aren't facing too many problems on the majors, just great news, because this is one of the heavier travel days of the holiday season. next, we've been following this incident for couple every hours, this is in delran, happened about 2:30 a.m., 130 northbound past new bally road overturned, hit polls, all lanes blocked because of downed wires, this also resulted in hazmat situation. crews are still on the scene, avoid this if you can. and also, we do have some construction problems, right lane block, on the atlantic city expressway westbound approaching route 73. this will cause headache for bigger vehicles all oversized vehicles need to exit before exits 28. finally last life look at the ben franklin bridge, beautiful view out, there but don't forget those sunglasses in you're going to travel out there at all this morning. in the cbs-3 traffic center. i'm amanda mueller, " eyewitness news" will be
