have been following a deadly shooting on the campus of drexel university. >> lets get details from "eyewitness news" reporter trang do live at the scene in university city, trang do, good morning, what do you know >> reporter: good morning, rahel and jim, police say it started with an argument between a couple and ended with the boyfriend being shot three times in the chest. police rushed the 24 year-old man to nearby penn presbyterian hospital where he died of his injuries but this is where it happened on this quiet stretch have lancaster avenue off drexel university's campus. you can see there is still some evidence of this shooting here on this scene, but here's a look at the scene overnight as officers block off street to investigate what happened. just after 11:30 drexel and philadelphia police responded to a report of the shooting on the 3500 block of lancaster avenue. police say a 23 year-old woman was walking down the street with her boyfriend and two were arguing loudly when another man armed with a gun and a gun permit, decided to intervene, and police say he

shot the boyfriend three times in the chest. >> still interviewing witnesses and trying to gather as to what happened, what caused these two, these three individual to come together and what caused the individual to fire that gun to fire, so, homicide division will be taking over investigation at this point and we will make a determination as to whether charges will be filed. >> reporter: we're told the student, would the man rather ace student at drexel university. the man died is also a student but at a school in new jersey. the shooter we're told was not a student. he is being questioned by police, so far, again, no charges have been filed but for now we are live from university city i'm trang do for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". rahel and jim, back to you. also new this morning two, 16 year-olds are hospitalized following a car chase in a fiery crash in the airport. this is how it looked from our traffic camera. chase began in delaware county where police spotted a stolen

car and continued on i-95 north for 2 miles when the car crashed through airport in philadelphia, police say teens are in stable condition. we're learning more about monday night's deadly hit and run in bucks county as police continue to search for the driver this happened along street road near philmont avenue in trevose just after 8:00 monday night. police say driver hit two teens and then stopped to move them off the road before speed ago way. last night 19 year-old jeff curt died from her injuries and will van arsdal suffered minor injuries. those who know the teens want justice. >> i would like to see the driver turn himself in, make amends. >> police are looking for i late model two tone maroon and tan or gray ford pick up just like this one. officials say it has a ladder rack with a ladder attached to it, investigators also say truck has damage to the front right side, if you have any information call the police. man accused of killing a temple university student in

august faces a hearing later this morning. twenty-nine year-old josh hupperterz faces murder and other charges in the august 31st death of 21 year-old jena burrly. prosecutors say hupperterz killed her after meeting her in a north fill bar. he used lyft to transport her body to his grandmother's property in northeastern, pennsylvania. vigil is planned tonight on the block where homeless man was beat to death in mayfair, this is the victim kevin cullen. investigators say he was robbed and attacked and died hours later. police are looking for a group of five teens suspect of his beating death. neighbors describe hearing the teens hit against wall, and victim's brother say cullen began a having trouble after his father died 10 years ago. >> you would talk to him, you know, he was a very bright, individual he just had deem on that is none of his family members could ever make sense of, we all tried to help him. >> police say one of the teens

did leave behind a phone at the scene of the crime, surveillance cameras captured the teens running away. well, pennsylvania's superior court has denied philadelphia rapper meek mill 's request to be released from prison on bail. mill's attorney argues that the philadelphia judge who sentenced the rapper refused to respond to his powe sentencing motion. yesterday, the high court directed the judge to act on the motions without further delay, earlier this month mill was sentenced to two to four years in prison for violating probation on a decades old gun and drug case. relief this morning in tampa florida as officials say they have caught man believed to be a serial killer. four murders kept city on edge for two months, but now tampa police arrested the man responsible for shooting death twenty-four year-old howell emmanuel donaldson the third will be charged were four counts of first degree murder. officials received 5,000 tips related to the shootings but it was a tip from one of his co work their led to yesterday 's arrest.

[ sound of sports game ] you help fuel greatness. you'll just have to make the ultimate game day sacrifice... and be eaten. we have video of a horse on the loose, the horse made its way from the farm in chester springs, in phoenixville yesterday afternoon, police officers from phoenixville and east pike land township cornered horse with the help of a good samaritan. it turns out that the horse threw a 15 year-old girl riding her and then took off but was shaken but not hurt. >> notice he is in the right lane, at lee following the traffic. >> law abiding horse. don't do this. police in massachusetts posted this picture on their facebook page to show residents how not to transport their holiday trees. as you can see almost entire carries hidden. police say driver was not cited.

college, quiet start to the morning here and all is nice and calm, it looks like they have christmas lights up. yeah, they do it looks absolutely beautiful. i love this section of the city, they call it christmas city for a reason they do it upright in bethlehem. what we will find throughout the day is more of the mid-april kind of a feeling to the air, so it is definitely much warmer then what is average but would i still advise you walk out with some layering but may not feel quite as uncomfortable if it were colder. it is chilly here, outside pleasant middle and high school all completely clear overhead allowing that temperature to fall back. wind flow is light but do you see direction it is coming from. it will be more northwesterly wind flow throughout the day. even it is light breeze you will note that is and it will make it feel chillier. with that said storm scan quiet with our tri-state sweep , just not showing much of anything at all say for nice clear sky, there is a front that will be crossing through that will help get
