accusation of inappropriate sexual behavior. >> we are devastated and we are still processing all of this. >> sitting next hoda co-host savannah said she was heart broken for lauer and the colleague who came forward. >> how do you reconcile your love for someone with the revelation that they have behaved badly? and i don't know the answer to that. >> nbc news released a statement saying on monday night, we received a detailed complaint from a colleague about inappropriate sexual behavior in the workplace. while it's the first complaint about his behavior in the over 20 years he's been at nbc news, we were also presented withreast have been an isolated incident. lauer becomes the latest high profile media personality fired this year over allegations of sexual misconduct. including fox news host bill o'reilly and cbs's charlie rose. rose's colleagues at cbs this morning reactioned to this latest scandal. >> i have a six kenning feeling of de ja vu certainly because

we're dealing with our own situation here but it does send the message and shows that you are not too big to fall. >> reporter: president trump who also been accused of inappropriate sexual behavior weighed in tweeting, wow, and then adding, but when will the top executives at nbc and comcast be fired for putting out so much fake news? nbc says it will continue to cover the lauer story as more details emerge. lauer became co-host of the today show in 1997. he has yet to release a statement or speak publicly about these allegations that led to his firing. well we're giving the cold weather gear a break on this warm wednesday. it will feel a little bit more like april outside than the end of november. meteorologist katie fehlinger live on the sky deck with just how warm it's going get. >> hey, katie. this afternoon really is promising to be beautiful one. on the breezy side certainly and that's that 1x factor i would not discount. granted it feels very comfort null a null but it is still

going to add little hint of a chill to the air. just a hint of a chill that wind let's take look very quickly here what's going on in storm scan which isn't very much. very very cher right now. our current temperature change in the last 24 hours is climbed from 11 to 13 degrees in the last 24 hours across allentown, reading, mount pocono, wilmington, and as that translates to the thermometer, it is mild out there. look at this already exceeding expectations at the airport. 63 degrees currently we're just getting afternoon started here, folks. 64 even down at the shore. ac airport little further inland but regardless really nice mild afternoon. the rest of the day looks much like it does now. highs in the low if not mid 60s noticeably northwest breeze will continue but that bright sunshine will do the same. coming up i'll let when you know the nose dive eventually gets here on the thermometer. you know it's inevitable i'll tell when you to expect it little later on. guys.

>> katie see you soon. thank you. fatal shooting on drexel university campus has rock the community. police say couple was having a dispute outside pizza hospital last night when a third person got involved. "eyewitness news" reporter trang dough tells us that's when the confrontation turned deadly. >> this is just something very extreme. >> reporter: shock and disbelief on drexel university's campus. after a 24-year-old man is shot dead during a fight with his girlfriend just after 11:30 tuesday night. lieutenant john walker says a 23-year-old drexel student and her boyfriend were arguing while walking on the 3500 block of lancaster avenue. that's when a man decided to intervene. >> we have a male who is armed with a gun and a permit to carry for some reason inter convenience into the situation and at some point pulls his gun and fires three shots into the victim. >> reporter: drexel and philadelphia police responded and transported the noon nearby penn presbyterian hospital where he died of his injuries. >> still interviewing witnesses and trying to gather as to what happened.

what caused these two -- threes three individuals to come together want caused the individual who fired that gun to fire. >> reporter: students who live near the scene say any kind of violence on campus is extremely rare. >> we've seen like just, you know, the typical thing on the college campus, drunk kids walking around and stuff but never really any violence involved of that nature. >> reporter: victim and the shooter were not students at drexel. police are questioning the shooter to see if charges are warranted. from university city, i'm trang do cbs3 "eyewitness news". 216-year-olds are in stable condition after a police chase and fiery crash near the philadelphia international airport. this the view from our traffic camera the chase began in tinicum township delaware county when police spot add stolen car it continued on i-95 north for about 2 miles. the car eventually crashed near the airport. two teens were transported to chop. >> protesters in philadelphia claim that better protected bike lanes could have saved the life of a woman who was killed while riding her bike yesterday.

>> the protesters gathered in center city this morning to form a human bike lane to protect cyclists. 24-year-old emily fredericks who lived on south street was killed in a collision with a garbage truck yesterday morning at 11th and spruce streets. >> we believe that if there was infrastructure that the city had committed to that it would prevent issues and, um, terrible incidents like we saw here yesterday. >> we're told that the driver of the truck remain at the scene after yesterday's crash and is cooperating with the investigation. we have breaking news just into our newsroom. chomper three life on the scene over gloucester township, camden county, this is route 42 around mile marker 6.3. traffic is backed up because of a truck fire. the fire has been put out but the ramp on to the atlantic city expressway from route 42 is closed causing delays in the area. in other news this noon vigil will be hell this evening in mayfair for homeless man who

was beat tone death on sunday night. investigators say kevin cullen died hours after he was attacked and robbed near loring street. where vigil is scheduled for 6:00 o'clock tonight. police are searching for five teenaged suspects one of whom left a cell phone at the scene. officers say surveillance cameras captured the group running away. police say the public's help finding a vehicle involved in deadly hit-and-run in trevose near street roted road near philmont avenue. the driver hit two teens. stopped to move them to the side of the road and took off. 19-year-old jess kurtz died from her injuries last night. her 18-year-old boyfriend will van arsdall suffered minor injuries. police are looking two tone maroon and tan or gray late model truck. preliminary hear underway in philadelphia for the suspect accused of killing a temple university student and then dumping her body in the poconos. 29-year-old former temple student joshua, faces murder and other charges. investigators say he killed 21-year-old jenna burr lay after

i think here this afternoon but all in all great excuse to get outside. you know, really pleasant afternoon. unfolding already. far exceeding expectation on the they remember meet. i'll show the map and where we stand. we are off to nice quiet start to the afternoon ahead. other than that wind and believe it or not actually a frontal boundary crossing through. look outside and typically with frontal passage you'd expect at least some clouds. we have a few of them but really it's dry frontal passage not doing much to our as mott fear other than bringing about a little bit of wind eventually a drop on the thermometer. headlights take you outside show you very pleasant very tranquil view outside cape may where at the moment it's again very quiet beginning to the afternoon here. you will notice the wind here, too. but still for it to feel at least late objection or made april, at this time of year, we will take a little bit of wind. now, along with the end of the month of november, comes the end of hurricane season. and that actually takes place

tomorrow. but to give you a recap since i seriously doubt we'll have any additional tropical activity by tomorrow, we are going to top off the atlantic basin season with 17 name storms ten became hurricanes. six of those hurricane made landfall three of them were major storms. but there were six major category three or greater hurricanes in total. a couple of highlights who could forget we had harvey's record rainfall over 50-inches of rain falling in some spots and then irma was strongest atlantic hurricane ever to be recorded outside the caribbean the gulf of mexico which records began. can't forget about maria leaving puerto rico without power for weeks on end this became ranked as third for the most major hurricanes ever in a season. so a really big deal when it came to our hurricane season this year but we were thankfully sheltered all in all on the eastern seaboard up our way. we look at storm scan3. not a lot to really pick out here. we do have two fronts though and i mentioned that dry frontal passage the front is actually

draped back towards the ohio river valley can't really make it out however the second front in line comes along thursday night into friday for us. you can see cloud cover little bit of precipitation breaking out from that. that will get here thursday night. i'll take to you noontime. this same time on thursday a few additional clouds starting to build by then i think you get through the evening drive without any problems really not until late on thursday night into very early friday morning that any showers would break out. but it should be mild enough we only have to worry about rain showers. this particular model run is a little bit morrow bust than originally reported earlier on today. but regardless i go do think the timing is consistent it really is an overnight thursday into earl friday concern but even then by the time the typical morning rush is really wrapping up this is already out of here you may have a couple of damp roads friday morning but that will be it. here's look at wind speeds. x factor of the day. maybe mild and sunny but you account for this very breezy afternoon that's unfolding. it's currently 21 miles per hour sustain winds. no less. not even gust. sustain wind at the philadelphia

international airport right now. so you will notice that. throughout the day. now obviously had to up the expectations for daytime highs. we had gone 62 we're already past that so we'll shoot up about 65 degrees today. the record is 70 we should not come close to that. but we're starting to do little harm rotation with that value. meanwhile bottom down to 45 early this morning. so a solid 10 degrees above average there too. here's look at the map. pick your spot. yeah who is winning out here primarily delaware. 65 a peace wilmington and dover again we are not obviously done with the afternoon. so give it a few more hours we'll exceed those values. outside pleasant valley middle and high school you can certainly see some leaves branches in the breeze here still relatively modest wind flow out this way. in the meantime let's take a look forward because this is last really warm day that you'll experience for the next seven. we bottom out to a dose of reality really. for the next couple of days here low to mid 50s the expectation right through tuesday. again thursday night into friday

watch for few showers. then the next significant rain would hold off until tuesday. very quiet pattern. >> looking good. >> thanks katie. >> students come together for a great cause. >> here's meisha with more today in today's love it. >> some high schoolers are working together to help those around world experiencing hung hunger. hundreds of volunteers fill the school gym stacking organizing and counting the donated food items. that will help make difference for people in need. take a look. the excitement from the giving volunteers is contagious. >> every time we get 20 i mark a tally we'll mark it up at the end. right now we're at 500. >> their pick up bite hunger task force and distributed to local organizes fighting hunger. volunteers in another section put together meal packs for people in nicaragua and puerto rico for people affected by hurricanes. >> in the bags are soy, vegetables, vitamins and minerals and rice so that as nutritious meal that will fill their bellies.

>> after seeing the devastation caused bite recent hurricanes, and learning more about hunger worldwide, the students wanted to help but didn't quite know how. >> at first we had no idea how we were going to ship things to puerto rico. >> one of the rotary members helping coordinate the scene was able to connect with delta airlines to deliver the food but, much of the rest would be up to them. >> a lot of high schoolers are really bent on putting everything together, volunteering and making everything happen. >> the students from the seven different schools involved don't use you usually interact with one another they knew how important it was to work side by side for this one very important task. more than 3,000 pounds of food were delivered to puerto rico while another 54,000 meals were delivered to nicaragua and that's not including all that was distributed right here in the us. great to see young high school kids working together to fight an epidemic that hits our own very backyards. way to go. love it.
