readings, it is 36 degrees in atlantic city. thirty-eight in philadelphia, just 25 in mount pocono so yes , there is a chill in the air we will take a look at forecast for the day as a whole not too bad but normal high, 50 on this date of the year so yes, not as warm but still above average. we will take that. fifty-eight in atlantic city, not shabby. we will see some sun. not until late tonight wet weather would arrive, meisha. >> it does not feel like we are creeping up in december, it is just so nice out. good morning everybody. we are looking outside right now gorgeous shot of the ben franklin bridge there berk in the westbound direction toward center city. really good company anyway you are driving. we were looking at this area with overnight construction around south street schuylkill westbound around south street, waiting for overnight construction crews to move out and they have had traffic completely stopped for a moment moving cones and you see the flights, moving now all that tension that was building up behind them that will start to ease. we are looking good there.

the world's biggest airline has a big problem, a scheduling glitch allowed too many american airlines pilots to schedule time off at even of the year which could ground thousands of flights for people heading home for the holidays. >> real bad, the holidays coming, we have new years coming, christmas coming so a lot of people will be upset. >> reporter: allied pilots association says more than 50,000 flights are at risk of cancellation from december 17th, to the 31st. >> i want the story of the grin that much stole christmas at american airlines. >> reporter: captain dennis taser is spokesmen for pilots union. >> we will to have get creative and require a partnership in figuring out how we get those over 15,000 flights, and then manned with captains and first officers, it is a heavy lift. >> reporter: american airlines said in a statement it plans to use reserve pilots and offer time and a half to pilots who volunteer to change their plans, adding quote, we are working diligently to address the issue and spoke avoid cancellation this is holiday season.

feller christmas tree last night more details were emerging about the most noticeable face not part of the broadcast. earlier in the day today show host matt lauer became latest and arguablably biggest celebrity to lose his job in the wake of the sexual misconduct scandal. variety magazine and new york times reported the incidents with the staffer who came forward and launched an official complaint began after 2014 olympics. they go on to report additional cases of sexual misconduct by lauer including exposing himself and sending explicit text messages. >> i think you can understand why woman felt they could in the come forward without faces republican cushion toss their career. >> reporter: new york times says there are allegations from at least two more women one claims lauer sexually assaulted her inside his nbc office in 2001. >> this is the biggest it gets , biggest scalp in terms of this national reckoning over alleged and some cases, admitted sexual misconduct.

yeah. i want to go there, right now. >> yes. >> but it is on main street in historic bethlehem and, there is a lot of, very quaint shops along this stretch. this is definitely a hub of shopping, opportunities, for folks as we hit holiday season here, in the christmas city. we have a very pretty quiet view up this way. pleasant valley middle and high school looking very similar and off in the distance mountaintop is there i have a feeling we will see a beautiful sunrise coming through even if there is a deck of cloud cover it should look good. but i will show you this more than anything for the fact that it is very cold. we are at 26 degrees. win has eased up so you won't notice too much of the wind chill here today but no where near as warm. we ended up over achieving in the city at 64 degrees, and didn't come close to a record but obviously well above average. here's that blanket of cloud cover but frontal boundary we are talking about is still up over the midwest and just moving in the ohio river valley. we still have sometime before this gets here mainly late tonight is when these showers
