candidate roy moore. >> i think they're afraid i'm going to take alabama values to washington. one gop lawmakers went to far as to send moore d's democratic opponent a donation. good morning from studio 57 headquarters here in new york. i'm anne-marie green. this morning the fire that has engulfed parts of southern california is forcing new ev evacuati evacuations. there are three fires near los angeles. nearly 200 structures have burned. more that 150,000 residents have been forced to evacuate and major freeways have been shut down. officials say the worst is not over yet. a state of emergency is in place in ventura county and most schools there are closed. kenneth craig has more. good morning, craig. >> reporter: good morning,

anne-marie. you can see it burnt to the ground. all that is left is a car frame. three fires burned in southern california alongside some smaller ones. amid reports hundreds of homes have been destroyed. some residents spent the twilight hours dousing the roofs with water hoping that would combat flying embers. more than 150,000 residents have been evacuated. >> all of a sudden i see fire from the other side came to our side. so scary. >> reporter: animals also had to be moved on short notice. reporter kristine lazar was at the horse farm. >> do you need me to grab a horse, guys? >>. >> please. >> here we go. >> it was spreading so quickly the fire grew. there are high winds with gusts

over 65 miles per hour coupled with terrain. it's had no measurable rainfall in the past six months. with flames come smoke. it's creating a health hazard for millions. forecasters say the high winds that are fanning and spreading the flames are expected to last thursday possibly into friday. at this point this fire is being considered virtually unstoppable. it jumped the 10 1 freeway and it's made it its way all the way to the pacific ocean, anne-marie. >> very scary. thank you so much, kenneth. the wildfire has shut down the production of two hbo shows. the production of the cbs series s.w.a.t. was also suspended and the los angeles rams canceled practice which is held near the largest fire. later today president trump is

expected to recognize jerusalem as israel's capital and begin the process of moving the embassy there from tel aviv. it's a sea change that could undermooin the peace effort and spur violence. they had issued warnings to u.s. personnel and american tourists. seth doane is in jerusalem with more. >> reporter: despite dire warnings across much of the middle east, president trump is still getting high marks. >> i love trump. all of us love trump. >> reporter: moving the embassy was a campaign programmes. president mahmoud abbas said it was mr. trump's intention to recognize jerusalem at israel's capital. he warned there would be grave consequences and possible violence if he does. you have world leaders lined up against the u.s. making any adjustment in the situation here. >> and i think they're wrong.

of sexual misconduct against teenagers, moore is expected to win. >> reporter: steve bannon joined republican senate candidate roy moore at a campaign rally in alabama tuesday night blasting republicans saying they believe moore's accusers. >> they want to destroy judge moore. you know why? they want to take your voice away. >> reporter: at least nine women have accused moore of sexual misconduct. some were teenagers when moore was in his 30s. >> they've attacked my wife, the foundation we started, and most recently my character. >> reporter: despite the claims, president trump and the national committee have decided to fully support moore. >> we don't want to have a liberal democrat, believe me. we want strong borders. p>> reporter: any republicans remain uncomfortable with the idea. >> if he were to be elected, i think he would immediately have an issue with the ethics

committee which they would take up. >> reporter: arizona republican jeff flake took it a step further tweeting this picture of a donation he made to democratic doug jones. on tuesday he criticized the president for formally endorsing him. >> i think the president is wrong here. i think it will have negative impacts for the parties in the long-term. >> while the president won't be campaigning on his behalf in alabama, mr. trump is expected to hold a campaign-style rally in pensacola, florida, at the end of the week just miles from the alabama border. weijia jiang, cbs news. new charges have been filed against jose ines garcia zarate who was acquitted in the death of kate steinle. federal authorities charged him with immigration and gun violations. his attorney said the shooting

was an accident. last week a san francisco jury acquitted him of murder and assault. the international olympic committee banned russia from the 2018 winter games. the committee took the understand precedent step for systematic manipulation of anti-doping rules. athletes will be able to take part if they past drug tests. if the russian meddles, the "national anthem" won't be played and the flag won't fly. an airbus dress blocking to valeir valeiras, a mexican airline was getting ready to set off. the delta flight and the controllers are warned something is wrong.
