furs court date schedule for december 12th. for now, live in medford new jersey, trang do, cbs-3, " eyewitness news," jim, rahel, back to you. >> trang, thank you. >> fire fight remembers working non-stop battling wild fires in southern california, as of this morning, six major blazes are burning across the region. >> cbs news correspondent kenneth craig live in ventura county where the largest fire has been burning for days. kenneth, fill us in. >> rahel, jim, good morning to you. this behind me is just one of the more than 400 structures that have been brought to the ground here in ventura county. this was the single-family home, reduced toking in but rubble in the shell of their mini-van. hundreds of thoroughbred horses ran for their lives as the southern california wild fire spread even further south this new blaze dubbed the lilac fire, is in northern san diego county. volunteers trying to help save them, say several of the horses were killed, several

other badly injured. >> i found couple up on the hill, actual little, have been burned. >> the lilac fire, about 45 miles north of san diego, grew to six square miles, in just two hours. further north, the biggest of the blazes around ventura has grown to nearly 200 square miles. that fire has counted for the bulk of the at least 500 buildings, destroyed, so far. >> officials say, even though the hurricane force winds that were predicted for thursday didn't quite materialize, erratic santa ain't a winds fanning the flames and spreading ember. >> that santa ana weakening will cause the fire to be much less predictable, it will move in different directions. here in ventura where the fire has already passed through, homeowners are being allowed back in to assess the damage. but for many, sadly, there is not much to see. >> this family of six returned to rubble. >> my little brother's stuff,

"eyewitness news" on the 3200 block of d street last night. that's where police say a 25 year old man, and 31 year old woman, both shot. they believe the violence is

related to murder on the same street on wednesday. >> well the small town in mexico, mourning the dead of two student this morning, killed yesterday, when gunman opened fire at their school. authorities have identified the gunman as a student, but did not release the name. it is also unknown how the shooter died. investigators now focus on finding a motive. no one else was injured. philadelphia rapper meek mill is officially appealing the decision that sent him to prison for two-four years. meek mill's attorneys are asking the pennsylvania supreme court to free him on grounds that the judge was bias and unfair. the last month a philadelphia judge ordered the rapper to prison for violating probation , send then, his attorneys have lost motion for bail and have unsuccessfully tried to have the philadelphia judge removed from the case because they say she is bias. >> no word on exactly when, but minnesota senator al franken says he's leaving office, following allegations of sexual misconduct.

>> took her to the vet for a check up, noticed, she had lost a lot of weight in a short periods every time. took an x-ray of her stomach and was shocked to find 21 pacifiers. >> grand had a had seen her jump up on the counter and grab one of the baby pacifiers , and they had been missing a lot of pacifiers. >> poor baby. the doctor removed all 21 pacifiers, and said, this is a case, and reminder, all dog owners should put away small items because dogs will eat anything. and as a dog owner, i can a test to that, been there, done that. not fun. >> all right, some folks in south texas waking up to some unusual wet they are morning.

date we've ever seen it recorded was back in 1979, on october 10th. so, we squeak by for few months, without any issues. but, here we go, cold in place , moisture on the way. so with time we will see the precipitation take over. winter weather advisory takes effect, specific to i95 and the vicinity off to the north and west, then all of delaware state. and you've got winter storm watch, again, late tonight into tomorrow. all of tomorrow across all of south jersey. let me time step this out for you. important to note, this is model, but, this is still a good guide. as early as 4:00 p.m., 5:00 p.m., southern most counties, cape may, sussex county could be seeing little bit of precipitation, but really into tomorrow that this starts to nudge north. see what happens? the moisture get thrown back moves further inland, could be extends the to the poconos, could see flurry, but really where you will find the bulk of any accumulation, even then , it does look like it would be a slushy accumulation

north. chester, montgomery, chester county so looking at the best chances you guy the highest chance you are to the shore. because you're closer to the storm, itself. but, moderate chance, if you go into the rest of delaware, the rest of south jersey, and it is a little bit after lower accumulation chance, anyway, into southeastern pa. because chance nonetheless that is looking pretty probable. now, looking at storm scan, you can already to the south see the moisture coming in, the coastal areas, strictly rain right now. but we are sitting in the midst of some very cold air. for the most part strictly snow event. not icing event, per say, but slushy snow. looking out at the live neighborhood network, one spot that may see a snow shower may see flurries respect far inland, whitfield elementary school, west lawn, next-door to reading 30 degrees there, all calm right now, will stay that way through the daylight hours just building clouds for now but with time that

homerooms, sydney is going to work. she stretched and ready for rehearsal, as apprentice in the pennsylvania ballet. >> ever since i was young, this is all i wanted to do. >> that wasn't too long ago. sydney poise belies her age, at just 16 years old, sydney is pa ballet's youngest member she is now preparing for her first leading role in the company as drew drops in george valentine the nutcracker. >> very hard. and very complex. but it is so beautiful to watch. and it is an honor to be able to do it. >> she'll perform in front after home crowd, too, sydney is originally from south philadelphia. she moved to north carolina and started ballet at three years old. it is there her training intensified. but it was a summer workshop run by pa ballet here in philadelphia just last year, that brought her back.
