>> right now, at 6:00, a woman is dead in north philadelphia and tonight, philadelphia police are investigating two possible crimes that may have led to her death. and police are now looking to question two people. the pickup driver in this case

who may have been driving with the victim and also the driver of the car. and who allegedly struck this woman. and then left the scene. and good evening to you everyone, i'm natasha brown, we'll get right out to eyewitness news reporter auto alicia nieves where she spoke to drivers upset about this tragic death. >> natasha people in the community are stunned by a series of events that led unto his death. many want to know who this woman was. police at this time are watching identity and likely in late 20s or early 30s. >> arounds 2:00 this morning police were called to the kensington section of philadelphia after a woman was struck by a kara long frankford avenue. the woman was found in middle of the road and the car fled. an a witness nearby told police the fatal hit-and-run here was more involved. and the witness said the woman who ultimately died was actually pushed out of one vehicle. an a silver f-150 that had a

ladder rack with missing tailgate. and then she was run over by the car behind. it and that car police believed was a black dodge challenger. authorities that hour are still looking for two vehicles and may soon have an image of both. we're told police were able to get surveillance video from two nearby stores. and both have cameras that point towards frankford avenue and while police work to find the truck and car involved in this fatal hit-and-run and ultimately find the driver of the beach people in in area are upset that someone had to moo lose their life this what way. >> hearing somebody was pushed out of the vehicle. people in this area are taking life you know for granted and it's expendable and it's like you're in my way we're going to push you out of the way. >> and anyone with information on the deadly hit-and-run here police want to you come forward and contact them. especially anyone who has information on the two vehicles involved. again one of them is a silver colored f-150 and had had a ladder rock and missing

strangeed models showing showers developing in and around philadelphia, south jersey as we head late tonight into early tomorrow morning. out the door early 5:00 watch for passing snow showers that. could put a quick dust ago around. very locally and then by the 8:00 hour that moving on out of here turning sunny and we'll talk about the snow chance tonight and couple more chances for snow showers and some graduateal gold. all that is coming up in a few, natasha. >> lauren we'll check back in with you. thank you sox. early morning two alarm fire meantime destroyed a home in northampton county and this is eyewitness video of this blaze that started just after 6:30 on 1500 block of washington street in wilson. flames raged for about 2 two hours or so before fire crews raged out of control. adjacent homes were damaged as you can see in this photo taken by the same eyewitness. and now officials say one person was injured and transported to a local hospital and no word right now on a cause. >> and a shooting in kensington this afternoon that

leaves one man dead and it happened on the 3200 block of roar roarer street around 4:20. police say a 22-year-old man was shot once in the chest and twice in the back and he was taken to temple hospital and in critical condition and died a short time later. and police say no weapon was recovered at that scene. >> and now, in philadelphia, police continuing to investigate a deadly shooting that happened overnight in cox ford circle. police were called to 1200 block of griefy street where they found a 38-year-old man with several gunshot wound. he was pronounced dead at the scene. they're looking for a man wearing orange or tan work jacket that fled the scene. >> and demonstrations meantime at the u.s. embassy in bu route heating up that

>> welcome back, everyone, fire fight rerdz making prog guess on several wildfires burning in southern calvas and major flare-up of the largest fire forced new evacuations and santa barbara county. cbs news correspondent kenneth craig reports. >> firefighters faced intense flames early this this morning as the massive thomas fire reached city of carpenteria in santa barbara. crews attacked the blaze from ground and air and were unable to save every home. after a week on the lines firefighters are tiring. >> the firefighters that have been out here since day one. they said this has been one of the most trying and worst nirz

the special performance took in southern california they were seen climbing out of darkness and gradually into the sky over the pearl river. now a group of elaborately decorated septa buses are spreading holiday cheer for us cloud the city and buses were on display today at the philly holiday festival at septa market street headquarters and septa employees used own creative skills to design amazing holiday displays and it's all part of an annual contest the bus with the most votes wings the people's choice award and bragging rights of course. septa says the contest has employee comradery and gets them in the christmas and holiday spirit. >> mean tile sharing in the holiday spirit today. the party hosted by the philadelphia philly and liberty uso second annual joy of sharing event was held this

degrees. well below our normal high temperature of 46 and started off the day this morning in the 20s. and checking in on our current temperature 0s and poconos 5 in trenton and 3 millville and at the freezing mark wright now in reading we have a bit of breeze kicking in right now and that is impacting feels like temperature and feeling 27 allentown and mid 20s millville and feeling like 16 in mount pocono and getting a live look at rehoboth beach, snow has not completely melte melted. still know on boards right now and see a lot of melt around the city today and as we head into the next several days and tomorrow with good amount of sunshine we will see more belt melting and storm scan three cloud cover building on in and snow showers north and west and we could see a call of those snow showers develop as we head into the late overnight period.. so, brief snow shower possible late. low temperature 9. certainly supportive of snow and as we head into monday we'll turn to mostly sunny conditions and late day clouds and high temperature trying to get closer to average at 43

degrees. still pretty chilly day. and future weather shoytion as we head into the overnight period. headed to midnight we're looking good and check this out, a snow shower developing especially 4, 5 a.m. into the 6:00 hour and really starting to wrap up by 7:00. now this is just one particular model as we head into the day. and seeing sunshine and late day clouds returning ago we head to early evening hours. but, again, this one particular model some models saying no snow at all as we head to late overnight period. and this one giving ace dusting in some areas as we head into the early morning hours. really only going to be an issue if you are commuting out and about early monday morning 5, 6:00 in the morningment forecasts high for tomorrow making it into 0s in the lehigh valley and across berks koument yip climb mid to low 40s down the shore and high temperature at 4. and in your 7 day forecast chance of few rain and snow showers of the a this point on tuesday, looking more like rain and then snow. but we could see maybe a snow

>> well timely tonight a member of the national guard is reuniting with two rescue dogs and he be friended while responding to hurricane maria. michael hinn drove 1200 miles from nebraska to charleston to be with them this weekend. he met the dogs while on duty
