tell you when it managed to free itself from. it is thursday december 14th good morning i'm jim donovan. i'm rahel solomon. lets get to the latest on the forecast and katie, has the week been busy enough for you. >> quite busy for those poor folks trying to round up the cow on i-95. i was in my car. i always turn on kyw news radio to hear traffic on my way in because you just never know and i hear pete say cow on i-95. there is no way i heard that right. there is no way i heard that right. crazy stuff. we have other issues when it comes tour commute. twenty-six is current value outside whitefield elementary school. let me show you snow accumulating on the playground , by comparison the road is a lot clearer, however , you could easily still even count's accumulation on the actual roadway especially side streets and what not where it has not been plowed or cleared away. this is a clipper. but it is still produce ago digsal snow showers. i'm calling on the eyewitness

weather watch tours let me know what you are seeing not just on the ground but still falling from the sky potentially in the north and western suburbs but this will continue to dwindle and fist alloway with time. here's how it currently feels. wind is light. these feels like values are very close to what the actual air temperature read. isn't that nice change but regardless it is still cold outside and with time as this clipper makes its departure the sun will shine through and reflect off snow, keep that in mind but you could still encounter slow travel and this goes not just this morning but right through afternoon and evening until it is all cleared out and melted away which will take sometime, and, and and for the weekend, and, and, a tough morning, some extra time, take it really easy. we have an accident on i-95 south that one cleared. what we are looking at 309 southbound pennsylvania

norristown road pulled off to the right here and these guys coming around this s curve putting on the breaks, so you can see where light is hitting the pavement and we have a sheen on the roadway, it is hard to tell if that is wet or black ice so always just air on the side of the caution and black ice and take it easy. you will be traveling less than posted speed because we have restrictions out there condition trucks here blue route southbound off ramp to schuylkill right lane compromised crews might be, starting to wrap up and move out of our way with the on and off ramps, these bridges, bridge decks, side streets, all that will be very, very slippery. take it easy. still on 422 eastbound that left lane compromised. talking about restrictions coming up in 10 minutes, jim and rahel back to you. just waking up we are keeping an eye on the road. >> overnight our region was hit with a blast have snow that could make your commute to work or school tricky. anita oh is live from south philadelphia. how sit looking out there. >> we are starting to see a little bit more activity, a few more cars and pedestrian is here we are here by miracle on 13th street which is in south philadelphia and on a typical evening, this entire street is lit up with bright christmas lights and decorations, right now, lot of these homes turned their lights off for the evening but sidewalk, still coated with snow, cars still coated with snow and do i want to show you , if you are walking around this morning you can see icy patches and very slick. my photographer and i are taking it easy as we are trying to walk around here because, there are a lot of icy, slick spots that might not be easy to see. but overnight the snow is falling at art museum as you can see in this video beautiful shot of the art museum. we have also cameras out across the bridge in new jersey, in collinswood, and cherry hill and oaklynn.

we spoke to people walking around this morning and here's what they said about the conditions out there. >> i woke up and there was snow. >> i love the snow. my favorite season. >> i thought it was a snow shower just basically salt, but it came down good. >> we are seeing sprinkle coming down here as well, and, side streets, some have not but cleared there is coating on some of the area that are not the main road or, main highways. on my drive-in, the schuylkill expressway, looking good rain driving around in the smaller streets you will want to be cautious. live, i'm anita oh for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". check out this unusual sight in the big city, it is a cow spotted wandering around southbound i-95 at 2:00 in the morning. his name is stormy, a cow who

felt like taking a stroll in the snow. officers, walked the cow down exit ramp. stormy escaped from the live nativity scene in olde city. cow does not seem to be injured maybe a little adventurous and mischievous. two adults and four children and family two dogs are okay but moorestown home has been destroyed by fire. flames swept through their home on the 600 block of lenola road about 12:20 this morning. we are told fire fighters controlled the blaze in about an hour and there were no injuries and the causes under investigation. st. joes university student remains in critical condition this morning after she was struck by a driver whom police believe was under the influence. the accident happened around 6:30 last night in wynfield the 20 year-old was crossing city avenue at lapsely lane when she was hit. police found what appeared to be marijuana in the car.

well, the suspects are facing pressure to cooperate even after authorities say cosmo dinardo admitted to shooting and burying the men. original agreement with prosecutors said that dinardo would avoid the death penalty if he admitted guilt. now they have filed notice of aggravated circumstance that he is still gives them death penalty option. dinardo's attorney said his client will not enter a guilty plea today. >> we were well aware of the fact that the death penalty would only be something bargained with and taken off the table, in exchange for a guilty plea. so we're not at that point just yet. >> perry says he is working with dinardo to reach a plea, his cousin sean kratz is facing charges but not represented by perry but will also be in court today. montgomery county community is devastated following a house fire that killed two young boys, teddy bears, notes, flowers all sit in front of the house in schwanksville which belongs to sheriff deputy brian lukens. flames broke out early yesterday morning, lukens with his wife and daughter all survived their injuries but

what you have on the ground now is basically what you will have, out of this storm, if you call it a storm but just disturbance moving through. winter weather advisory taking out a couple counties, philadelphia county, delco you are out of the winter weather county confined from bucks to montgomery counties on north and that will last until 10:00 e see this expire sooner, because even though it looks impressive, again this isn't, as time goes on it is a clip their will fist with the time, help kick wind up and re enforce cold but these don't tend to dump more than what we have seen at this point. watching for a few snowflakes, especially, due north and sun breaks out, breezy and then deal with the reflection off that fresh snow off the two north. temperatures will plumet overnight we will dip down to 21. at lee wind is light but we are held back to just above freezing because of this and we do begin to rebound back toward more typical territory on sunday, or even above

average, on monday, and tuesday, meisha. >> nice, not bad hearing about above average, coming our way, thanks very much. looking outside right now yes, it has been a rough morning commute because of the snowfall, that freezing ice on the roadways, they will surface seeing spin outs and speed restrictions out there accident 309 southbound that has been since cleared, we have a spin out that has been since cleared. blue route southbound off ramp to the schuylkill we have construction out there as well crews moved out of the way but we were watching at vehicles were slowly traveling by those on ramp and off ramp take it easy because a lot of times we are seeing that shiny stuff on the roadway we don't know fit is wet or black ice so air on the side of the caution and assume it is black ice. we have an accident 422 eastbound you can see how many beach had this morning. good news or crews are getting out and moving it out of the way. we are looking good here on 422 now but we have restrictionness play on two
