started there, a little while ago and take a look at this you can see what a difference a few meals make. here's our camera in cape may and you can see not much happening there just yet. >> yet, yet. >> snowy friday all across our region please be careful making evening rush hour a mess but should be out of here soon. good afternoon i'm ukee washington. i'm jessica dean. our team is tracking it all for you, we have live coverage with meteorologist kate bilo live in bethlehem where she's tracking snow and celebrating holiday fest. >> that is right, jessica and ie in bethlehem and we have about an inch on the ground but, even though we got maybe half of what felon saturday and much of the area i venture to say problems this system caused were about double and it is all because of timing. saturday afternoon most people can stay home they don't venture out. when you have a storm midday, kid are at school and people are at work everybody hits the

road at same time and it is mass chaos. road were terrible trying to get up here. is what an her trip for me took me two and a half hours to get to bethlehem and still coming down albeit lightly. lets look at storm scan three the steady snow has now shifted further south, ande, it is moving in south jersey just in time for second half of the evening commute but we are still seeing snow fall, around philadelphia and you want to look at dark purple areas that shows where heaviest snow is right now. as we zoom down in south jersey heavier snow falling around tabernacle, burlington county, vineland, couple where land county slowing things down i'm sure on the atlantic city expressway and problems just a domino as snow lightens up around the sit still major slow downs on the major road. winter weather advisory remains through this evening, that includes everyone you see in purple there, philadelphia, montgomery, bucks county, all south jersey and delaware and reason why this is so bad is temperatures are so bad that

the snow is stick to go everything it can get its hand on. temperatures in the low to mid 20's right here where we stand it is 22 degrees in bethlehem. twenty-five in philadelphia and if you are heading out to bethlehem tonight, we still have a lot of holiday spirit here for holiday fest, temperatures in the 20's so bundle up, there is a light snow falling and i'll tell you can't look much more like christmas city then it does here tonight. can findave more on holiday here in beautiful bethlehem this time of the year but as snow continues to fall, i'll send it back to chelsea ingram with more on what the area will end up with and timing for rest of this evening, chelsea. >> we have snowfall totals that have come insofar around 2 inches in ambler and berwyn, 1.8 inches just recently came n drexel hill 1.6. just over a inch and a half, inch in ewing, and germans ville, an inch. that is so far, as kate was showing you, it is still snowing so those totals will go up again. we are dealing with the

heaviest snowfall right now, through about 6:00 p.m., five and nine chelsea snow tapering off west to east. already started to taper off in the far north and western suburbs in the lehigh valley and poconos. overnight temperatures will be in the 20's, so you have to watch for those slick road especially those secondary road, those road untreated as well, because temperatures will in the allow this snow to melt at all. it can make for a dangerous situation, right new during evening commute and also as we head in the overnight hours tonight and into tomorrow morning. so by the time it is all said and done we are thinking in the blue shade here from philadelphia right along i-95 corridor in central and south jersey, delaware, one to 3 inches of snow will be a possibility. all depending where you live. quick coating for areas north and west, and then lehigh valley and poconos. some spots could pick up around 3 inches. we will have more coming up in your full forecast for now back over to you guys.

this storm does not have best timing, coming in during evening commute on a friday so lets look live now at i-95 near the betsy ross bridge, you can see it is slow going there. we will take you live to the schuylkill expressway near montgomery drive, and also slow. and, we will head into new jersey for a look at 42 freeway near interstate 295, that is a lot have lights up there and a lot of red at bottom of the screen, jammed, just be careful take it slow. >> slow your roll. snow is getting some people in the holiday spirit. >> for others not so much. committed, with every ounce of their energy, into seeing that another son or daughter doesn't come home in a coffin. >> reporter: grand jury found that hazing was in the greek community at penn state is quote rampant and pervasive, the report makes 12 recommendation as monk them establishing a hazing hot line , strengthening the law for furnishing alcohol to minors and strengthening penn state's hazing policy. tim piazza's death the university has already adopt aid 15-point plan meant to dress hazing misconduct and illegal consumption of alcohol the school, also proposed implementing a university staff spot-check team to patrol fraternities for safety violations. defense attorneys for fraternity brothers argue they shouldn't be held criminally responsible for piazza's death because they claim the clients didn't force him to drink the alcohol, and in a statement read allowed by tom kline, tim piazza's parents disagree. >> tim will not be with us

, and tradition and still is in bethlehem to visit different churches that have their putz set up and in peoples home they set up their own personal putz. >> so many great things to do here and tonight is perfect night to do it. snow winding down just a few picturesque flurries here. lets look at, storm scan three some areas seeing heavier snow then just flurries, we have heavier stuff over south jersey. that is where this storm has really moved to as we get toward the second half of the commute here tonight. we are seeing steady snow over burlington county, atlantic county seeing some problems and really will continue at least through the next couple of hours. lets take a peak at future weather. once it gets out of here it gets out quickly a few flurries here now 5:00 o'clock right now still seeing heavy snow in south jersey and delaware but wye 7:00 it is mostly off shore and we will clear skies out by 9:00 o'clock. this is not going to last overnight, it will not last into tomorrow, but here's what we will end up with, a colt to go an inch in the far north

cape may feeling effects of the latest artist blast. it is a snow start to the weekend. >> it is making a mess of traffic but it seems to be moving out. >> we will check with meteorologist kate bilo in bethlehem with the update on the forecast, kate? i just checked radar for here in bethlehem on my phone because it started to pick up, it was just light flurries and now picking up. this is last decent band of snow certainly not coming down as heavily here as in other places in the region but still adding to those late totals we are seeing in the lehigh valley. however in portions of western new jersey, spots like marlton , lindenwald, new jersey down toward the shore points. that is where we are looking at the most steady snow outside at the moment, and it is going to accumulate in those spots up to 2 inches. coming down quickly but will move out rather quickly as well moving off the coast as we go through remainder of tonight. by seven or 8:00 we will see

>> greg argos is live, in center city. how sit looking. >> it looks beautiful right now. we will look behind me at logan square it looks like a norman rockwell painting just coming down, absolutely in wind, sort of the flurries falling but it is wreaking havoc for your evening commute i mean take a look right here at ben franklin parkway basically in grid lock. i want to give you some perspective. we are at logan square. we left our station which is less than 1 mile away at 15th and spring garden, and it took us 25 minutes to get here because of the snowy conditions and the traffic that has formed because of all of this on top of thaw can see at logan square some of the streetlights are out. so it is just a hectic commute for those heading home tonight , snow on the ground, you can see right here on the roadway, it is slushy, it ace accumulating an inch or so on the roadways and here on the sidewalks about an inch and a half or so. as i mentioned it looks

tonight. snow continuing to come down but it is a beautiful seen here and right along main street as well in historic bethlehem. lets take a look at what we can expect for the next couple of hours. we have snow continuing to fall, it is very light here in bethlehem right now but that is not the case in south jersey, this is area that is picking up heaviest snow as we speak, seeing darker purples embedded over camden and gloucester county right now and toward the shore from ocean county all the way down to cape may county. we have slow go out there on all area roadways. our winter weather advisory remains in effect the purple you see a lot of purple here tonight winter weather advisory through this evening, the snow will move out but the ice threat will remain. road cover quickly. temperatures are only in the 20's all day. twenty-five in philadelphia. twenty-two in allentown. sixteen in mount pocono and temperatures going lower overnight. that means black ice on any of those wet road is going to be

around 2 inches. we are seeing weather watcher ed who lives in chesterfield has pick up an inch and a quarter and then wayne in landingberg pennsylvania, right around 2 inches. totals keep going. anywhere from about one to 2 inches that is what we have seen for our weather watchers. pete inner lawrenceville says around an inch and three-quarters, three-quarters of an inch for jeff, in hatfield, pennsylvania and middletown delaware, jason says right around 2 inches. let me show you other snow totals across the region and keep in mind kate was showing you storm scan three, so in a lot of these locations it is still snowing. we do expect that these totals will go up at lee a little bit in newark around 2.4 inches of snow has fallen in bensalem, around 2 inches and ambler around two with this system. norwood just under 2 inches at 1.8 and hammington 1.1 inches. kate was telling you this will get out of here fairly quickly i can confirm that on future weather. notice how it moves from west
