into a crash that killed a little boy. >> i. natasha brown after the impact the driver of the striking car got out saw the after math and fled the scene. this all happened in the crescentsville neighborhood. alexandria hoff is at temple university hospital where a man injured in the crash is currently being treated. alex. >> reporter: the driver of the car that was hit was taken here to temple university hospital. we're told he's expected to be ok. sadly. the 8-year-old boy riding with him did not survive the crash. tonight be witnesses are wondering how another driver could have hit them and leave. >> this viewer cell phone video shows the devastating aftermath of a crash that took the life of an 8-year-old boy. according to police, the boy was riding in this tan honda along with a 28-year-old driver-around

1:40 p.m. when a vehicle was attempting to make a left turn. it was struck in its passenger side at a high rate of speed by a second vehicle. >> police say that the 34-year-old driver of that second vehicle stopped to check for damage to his car and then fled the scene after striking another gray vehicle. >> the owner of the car left. >> reporter: according to investigators, the offender abandoned the vehicle before heading to the hospital himself. he was located in the second district while his vehicle was located by police near front and venango. in a tree. a ribbon commemorates another family's loss >> there was the same accident when a truck and were bmy clientw >> speeding cars an ever present threat, other families tell us they're considering moving. >> we've been here a long time.

the barkley friends senior living complex on october 21 it's, 26 days later she died in the fire. malloy was one of four senior citizens killed when a five alarm fire ripped through. the sprinkler system could have stopped this tragedy but the system didn't work >> this is the main valve dark, it was off. there is no indication, no evidence as of today that this valve was turned on. >> we can only hope she didn't suffer in any way, we don't know. >> a barkley friends spokesman tells "eyewitness news" they're taking the fire suppression information seriously and fully cooperating with investigators as they await dish information a lawsuit has now been filed against the parents of cosmo denardo one of the men charged in the bucks county killings of four people back in july. the family of one of the alleged

victims filed the suit. the family claims denardo's parents did not safeguard their gun, which was allegedly used in the murders of sturgis, patrick, mayo and dean finocchiaro, they pleaded not guilty to the murders. the search is on for two suspects police say attempted to abduct two children. investigators say the two men were inside a green minivan and attempted to lure the children towards the vehicle as they walked by. the children ran to car knell elementary and school officials called police. >> one of the people that were in that van were the outside of the van looks like he was opening up the hithch. he made some sort of gesture to get into the car. they did the right thing, smart thing and they ran. >> police say one of the suspects was wearing a green

jacket. other all black clothing. a decision on whether to reinstate charges against the engineer of one 88 in philadelphia, this is new video of brandon bostian walking out of court. reckless endangerment andin voluntary manslaughter charges were dismissed against bostian an appeal was filed by the pennsylvania attorney general. district attorney's office originally decided not to file charges saying there was not enough evidence. bostian was at the controls when it crashed in may of 2015. eight people died. 246 others were injured. repairs are underway to the highway and guardrail damaged after monday's train derailment in washington state crew it's removed the locomotive this morning, the other train cars were removed yesterday. the ntsb said the train was traveling 80 miles per hour in a

impact us, next storm starting to gather moisture over northern plains it will impact us in time for the start of your holiday weekend. temperatures swings, tomorrow is cold then temperatures start is to rise as we head into the holiday weekend. look at all this cold air waiting in the wings, just in time for christmas day, that's when we'll see an arctic to front move through the bulk of the cold will arrive next tuesday and wednesday. but as we put the cold up against it's mild air, there will be a chance for wet weather or a wintery mix. two systems to watch. you can see on friday, into saturday, a warm front will lift through, saturday very warm, but we'll start the day with rain and rain could get steady into the afternoon. with the front offshore we'll have to watch another system. couple of models are united states model the gfs really nothing with this, couple of snow showers, this is the european model one of our favorite models to look at. and i think you do have to give
