scene of the fire in philadelphia's port richmond neighborhood, the flames broke out in the row home one cambria street, we're told woman jumped from the window to try to escape the flames, three children were able to escape the fire by themselves, all four were taken to the hospital, no word yet on the cause of the blaze. some concerned parents in delaware are demanding answers police are investigating an alleged sexual assault involving students at redding middle school in middletown new castle county. "eyewitness news" reporter chante lens tell you what parents and the district are now saying. >> as a parent, it is really scary. >> reporter: word spread to most parents in the school district after learning a student at lewis redding middle school was allegedly sexually assaulted inside the building. school officials kept tight-lipped on compactly what happened and when. delaware state police only confirming that they are investigating the sexual assault and that they are in the early stage of the

investigation, and only, minors were involved. >> the kid these days, it is sad, really sad how are these days they have in respect for each other or adults, and obviously no respect for kid these days. >> reporter: school officials say they were notified of the incident on tuesday. they since sent an e-mail to parents reading in part at the request of the delaware state police the school and district have agreed to reframe from releasing any further information at this time, other than to express our deep concern for all involved, some parents want more answers. >> it would be nice to know what happened, because everybody wants to know is what going on. i understand the privacy and not telling anybody, but it would have been nice to know. >> reporter: school officials say they planned to tell parents more on the incident after the investigation is complete. chante lens for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". an alleged gunman is on the run after police say he

shot four of his estrange girlfriend's family members killing one of them. shooting happened on the 6600 block of dorell street in southwest philadelphia last night. investigators say four victim confronted the suspect after he allegedly assaulted their female relative earlier in the evening. one victim a 23 year-old man died at the hospital this morning. the three other victims are stable tonight. president trump is in florida tonight, for the christmas holiday after signing the republican tax bill into law, earlier today. >> jobs are produced through companies and corporations and you see that happening, corporations are literally going wild over this. i think even beyond my expectations so far beyond my expectations. >> the president decided to sign the bill into law today instead of at a formal ceremony in several weeks, to keep his promise of tax cuts by christmas. stay tuned for "cbs evening news" for jeff glor for very latest on the tax reform bill tonight at 6:30 right here after "eyewitness

>> went through chemo, radiation, different medical trials and nothing seemed to work. >> reporter: his nephew easton winters passed away in july after battling a tumor on his spine. >> he just loved being around police. that is what he wanted to do. >> reporter: so came a special donation a new police puppy who at the suggestion of the academy director would bear the boy's name. >> getting the dog and naming it easton helped my family in the grieving process. >> reporter: easton was just eight months old but one day expect to enter to become a police k-9. that is not only gift the department received this holiday season. >> we were looking for a small monetary donation and they said how about a car. >> reporter: performance dodge donated a k-9 police car which includes special features like an alarm that sounds if the temperature inside gets too hot. >> you see is there a need for help and you want to be involved if you can. >> reporter: for sheenan a constant reminder of his littlees partner who in a special way will always be by his side. >> it is like now he can live
