you'll be interesting the weather for me? >> yes, new york, you're going southeast asia. don't know if i could forecast for halfway around the worlds. >> i hope so, please. >> i'll try my best, but, santa of course was out last night, delivering all of the gifts across the entire country and across the entire world, and depending where were you, maybe had little bit of problem with some of his travel, but looks like it should be quiet day. now, there is a little bit of precipitation out there. take a look, live from atop hotel bethlehem up in the lehigh valley where not too much is happening right now. looks like it is currently free of any falling precipitation. but along the grass there, do you see some white stuff. that's little bit of snow that did fall early this morning. and for the most part right now on storm scan3, there is not too much falling out there currently. but we could still see maybe here early a couple of snowflakes from philly and south it, does look like it should be warm enough any precipitation will likely full as rain, chester county maybe little wet snow mixing with some light rain for the time being. wind speeds right now are

morning, person recovering after being hit by a car in montgomery county. >> this happened around 4:30 yesterday afternoon, germantown pike and virginia avenue in plymouth meeting. police say the vehicle that struck the victim did stay at the scene, the vick tell was flown to jefferson hospital. >> well, this is a man police say is responsible for a quadruple shooting on the 6600 block of did your he will street in southwest philadelphia on thursday. he is identified as 21 year old jaybeer kennedy, accused of killing one, sending three other to the hospital. they say he should be considered armed and dangerous , and anyone with information on jabir kennedy's whereabouts asked to call police. >> guatemala will become the first country to follow the united states lead and move israeli embassy from tel-aviv to jerusalem. made the announcement yesterday. move comes after glad mat a, the us and seven other countries voted no on thursday , in a un vote to condemn president trump's recognition of jerusalem, as israel's capitol. >> meantime, north korea

lashing out over the latest round of un sanctions calling the strict measures, quote, an act of war. the country's foreign minister warned yesterday, that the us and other nations that support the sanctions will pay a heavy price. the un security council unanimously approved the tough new sanctions on friday. they were in response to north korea latest lunch balistic missile said to be capable of reaching anywhere in the u.s. mainland. >> well, united nations cents a.m. bass cents door nicky haley announced massive cut in the un bloated budget. in a news release sunday haley said the us negotiated a spending cut of more than $285 million. she calls the move historic, says it keeps the un accountable. new budget goes cents into effect for the 2018-2019 fiscal year. >> well, the new york city bomber is accused of trying to radicalize his fellow inmate. prosecutors say rahami has been distributing propaganda and publications issued by terrorist organizations,

so have merry christmas, and all of the weather watchers merry christmas, happy holidays, happy new year, as women. unfortunately we don't have any graphic, having little little problem, storm scan3 showing little bit that far precipitation, out there, we do have for the most part most of it wrapping up across the metro area. i-95, for most of the morning, has cents been the kind of split area where we will see temperatures warming up to the south that we see all rain, as you head further north, that's where we start to see frozen precipitation, but again, looks like for the most part it is starting to wrap up. north of the city with temperatures that are down below the freezing mark, do be prepared for slick spots. early part of the work week here, what could be maybe week off for some folks, low moves away, we go with cleary skies on tuesday and wednesday, so if you are traveling, tuesday and wednesday, not too much to worry about. as we get then into the second k specially friday and into saturday, that is where we could look for next chance for

snow. highs are only going to be inned 20's throughout the entire week. 37 degrees, for our high temperature today. we will go to 33 degrees, then on tuesday, as we get into wednesday, and thursday, check out there it is, highs only in the 20's, and then here comes our next system it, starts to roll in on friday, we go with the snow chance there, maybe in the afternoon hours on friday, high of 27. and then we stay in the 20's into this coming weekends, snow shower chances again on saturday. and then sunday is new years eve t looks like it will be a cold way to ring in the new year, at least at this point, temperatures again only about 28 degrees, looks like it should be dry for this coming weekend, though, then again, looks like for the most part travel conditions today, tomorrow, and all the way through the week are looking pretty good. >> we want to hear it, thank you, matt. secret isn't an in pit ton township pennsylvania want to be sure some folks there had a merry christmas, anonymous santa stopped by a k-mart store to pay for toys on stranger's lay away bills. the person paid more than a thousand dollars for the items , the season for giving,

but this particular act of kindness, stood out for those shopping at the k-mart. >> it was a bless to go have this paid off this time of year christmas. the time of giving. it was a perfect time. i appreciate. that will somebody did that, who ever was out there, i thank you. >> k-mart says the anonymous shopper doesn't have any children, and specifically asked to pay off bills that had toys on them. >> well, welcome back, and we hope all of your friend are under the tree, plenty of shoppers were still out on christmas eve picking up last minute gift. "eyewitness news" was at the cherry hill mall last night, lot of people still buying presents, retail expert say 6% of all consumers were expected to finish their holiday shopping yesterday. last minute shoppers were still in high spirits. >> most of time i'm getting good deals. so it is a win-win situation. >> we are not stressed. we have having fun, right, eating, relaxing, stood there waiting for saint a having great time. >> and talk about really last minute, the national retail federation says 5% of people are still buying gift, even

after christmas day. >> well, retail expert estimate that about 60% of shoppers bought gift cards for the holidays, if you received one, cbs news correspondent laura has a warning for you. >> gift cards are one of the most popular present during the holidays. but, criminals have figured out how to use the cards before you do. >> actually a gift for my sister. >> last year alex stevenson told us how $200 best buy gift card she received came up with a zero balance when she tried to use it. >> it was rejecting the cards. and he didn't understand why. >> the scam has been around for years. criminals copy numbers off gift cards on public displays. they scratch offer the panel on the back to get the security code, then put them back on the rack. once the card is bought and activated, they drain the balance. they even use zebra stick that's cover up scratch off security panels so buyers don't realize the cards have been tampered with. >> crews also get numbers through security breaches, and by hacking into stores, gift card data bases cents.

but there are ways to protect yourself. >> make sure it has good packaging so that you can't see the account number without opening the packaging. >> jeff from consumer reports says stores are taking steps to protect the cards. like using more secure packaging and place l them behind the counter. though he recommends purchases them on line directly from the retailer. if you do receive a card that's been drained? >> go back it the retailer, say i want your money back. >> when alex contacted best buy they gave her new $200 card. laura, for cbs 3, "eyewitness news." >> and k9 in new jersey gets quite the surprise. pup caught santa visiting his home in monmouth county overnight. take a look at the surveillance note oath, posted these photos on facebook, hunter was caught begging saint for his cookies. but hunter must have been good-bye boy, because the camera spotted santa giving the puppa gift, as well. these penguins definately met

rain reindeer, water skiing in virginia, spectators watched the annual water skiing santa show in alexandria yesterday. grinch even made appearance and tried to steel santa's show, but he wasn't the only special guest, brought to you some snow flying and high flying elves joined in on the fun, as well. >> well, a christmas tradition continues this year, in mexico it involves making art using radishes, the night of the radishes takes place in southern mexico, every december 23rd. the vegetable vendors create elaborate displays made almost entirely out of radishes, the custom now in its 120th year, one american tourist was blown away by what she was seeing. >> who ever thought of it, i think has incredible, fantastic vision. >> in toward attract customers they would decorate, could only use wood or natural fine tears hold their sculptures together. coming up in the next hour of
