, if your planning ongoing to the birds game, bundle up, it will be cold and windy in the second half of the day. so you see here in our headlines, cold and windy afternoon, definately moves into the evening hours, as well. then blast of arctic air, thus moving in for the middle of the week. then another chance for maybe a snow shower or two an as we get towards the end of the week. so talking about that, as well but concerned about travel across the entire country. because it is a big travel week. you see temperatures across the 95 corridor, today, thigh 30's, mix every sunday and clouds, there is cents some snow headed out toward the great lakes. lake effect areas like buffalo as well as cleveland. down south it, looks like it is pretty easy going, but cool dallas, houston, in the 50's, little warmer toward orlando, down to 68 degrees there. but if you head down to miami, even more, probably in the 70s down in south florida only 19 in chicago this afternoon. check out high for minneapolis with sunshine, 2 degrees, two, for the high temperature, then you head out to the west coast

60s from san fran back down toward la. phoenix comes in at 07 degrees later this afternoon, not too much going on. at least weather wise across the country today. looks like it should be easy travel in that regard. storm scan3, most of the precipitation starting to mover out. but you still see some streamers out there coming off lake erie, so, the northern portions sean of the viewing area up to the lehigh lehigh valley and poconos, few snowflakes possible. gets very wind think afternoon like i said, future wind gusts , gust to go 30, close to 40 miles per hour across the entire region. later this afternoon, it does start to die down little bit as we go through the evening and overnight tonight. but again, still very, very windy weather taking over. it will be a frigid last week of 2017 as well. cold today. but then there comes the arctic air out of northern canada. really coming all the way pretty much from the north pole, so santa might have brought it with him last night arctic i can air settles over top, temperatures wednesday, thursday, highs only in the 20 's. after some 30's, today and tomorrow. and then our next chance for some snow showers friday and

, pedestrian returned to the hospital after being struck by a vehicle in montgomery county. this accident happened around 4:30 sunday afternoon, at germantown pike and virginia avenue, in plymouth meeting. police say the driver stayed on the scene, no word yet on a condition of that victim. >> philadelphia police released this photo of suspect want in the connection in connection with quadruple shooting in southwest philadelphia, 21 year old jabi r kennedy should be considered armed and dangerous after thursday shooting on the 6600 block of injury he will street. accused of sending three to the hospital. if you know where the suspect might be give police a call. well, president trump has revealed plan to move the us embasy israel from tel-aviv eve to jerusalem, guatemal at first country to follow suit. the president announced yesterday it, too, will relocate its embasy israel to jerusalem. move come after guatemala, the u and seven other countries voted no on thursday, in a un vote to condemn president trump's recognition, of jerusalem as israel's capitol.

north korea lashing out over the latest round of un sanctions cents calling the strict measures, quote, an act of war. the country's foreign ministry warns yesterday that the us and other nations that support the sanctions will pay a heavy price. the un security council unanimously approved the tough new sanctions on friday. they were in response to north korea latest lawn of of balistic missile said to be capable of reaching anywhere on the us mainland. >> meantime, united nations ambassador nicky haley announced massive cut in the un quote bloated budget. in a news release sunday haley said that the us is negotiate add spending cut of more than $285 million. she calls the move historic, and says it keeps the un accountable. the new budget goes cents into effect for the 2018-2019 fiscal year. >> well, this christmas a mother is grateful to be sharing her story of hope. she risk her own health to ensure the safety of her unborn child. chris martinez has the story.

about santa coming? >> noretracts track santa got underway as hundreds of volunteers packed air air force base in colorado springs , answered calls from children anxious to know where santa was. one volunteer said she has been helping track santa for over two decades. >> i walked in here at 3:45 a.m. this morning just with chills that i was going to get to bring the joy of santa and christmasses to kids around the world. i'm happy, excited, little nervous at first to answer calls from around the world, but once the kids start calling they're just incredible t feels @ hazing. >> i -- i would love to do. >> this the tracking service run by the us and canadian militariment began get this in 1955, whether a newspaper ad invited children to call santa but accidentally, they put the number for the con mental air defense command. >> oh, well. >> well, hundreds of santa's hit the waves and went to surf for good cause in central florida. 837 surfers dressed up like santa, packed cocoa beach yesterday. benefit the surf museum and

another local non-profit which helps people fighting cancer. organizers say the surf santa's raised $35,000. the group was also trying to break the guiness world record for most surfers on one wave. and unfortunately yesterday the waves were just a bit too small. >> well, a secret santa in pits ton township pennsylvania wanted to ensure folks there had a merry christmas, anonymous santa stopped by a k-mart to pay for toys on strangers lay away bills. the person paid more than a thousand dollars for the items , tis the season for giving, but this particular act of kindness, stood out to those shopping at the k-mart. >> it was a bless to go have this paid off this time of year, christmas, the time of giving. it was a perfect time. i appreciate that. somebody did that. who ever was out there, i thank you. >> k-mart says the anonymous shopper doesn't have any children and specifically asked to pay off bills that had toys on them. >> well, we will be right back with three to go, stay with us
