is highland avenue this is down wires and then boulevard we have got construction going on later this morning right pennsylvania comly that starts at 9:00 a.m. back over to you. red cross is heading to delaware county to help displaced residents after a massive fire ripped through a 18 unit condo in brookhaven. flames broke out inside hill top condominium on the 5200 block of hill top drive just before 6:00. fire fighters arrived to find a family trapped on the third floor balcony, crews used the lad tore bring them down to safety as one resident was shocked by the devastation. >> my first thoughts was there goes everything. i mean i have nothing. >> well, multiple eyewitnesses said they watched police say, one person at the scene. authorities yet to confirm. that fire officials are trying to figure out what sparked those flames. no people or pets were hurt. robbery suspect is in critical condition after he was shot by a police officer during a pursuit in west philadelphia suspect wanted for two robberies crashed in

another car at forty-ninth and walnut street yesterday. officer shot mant in the chest after he allegedly tried to pull what appeared to be a weapon from his waist band. the officer was not hurt. >> the officer has to protect himself and other people present and when you have knowledge of a gunpoint robbery and person refuses command you have a duty to protect yourself and other people present. >> the officer involved has been placed on administrative duty pending outcome of the investigation. authorities are investigating a deadly shooting of the teenage inner philadelphia ease germantown neighborhood. chopper three over green street. eighteen year-old male was shot once in the stomach and twice in the neck. he was trans port todd temple university hospital where he was pronounced dead. police have not made in a rests. a 16 year-old accused in the death of two other teens faces a preliminary hearing this morning. brandon oliver i is charged with murdering two, 16 year old in south philadelphia last fall. clear miller and sal dinubile was shot and killed outside

dinubile's home on october 28th. well, a large group of rowdy teens got out offhand at cherry hill mall and we are told some of them were escorted out in handcuffs. week after cherry hill police warned parent about leaving their children unattended at the mall n word on any -- whether any arrest where is made or charges have been filed. updating a store friday bethlehem township gunman in last weeks deadly standoff was not legally permitted to own a gun this was the scene in the 1500 block of dennis street. thirty-six year-old justin keptheart fired more than 100 round at police who initially showed up to investigate woman 's body in the front yard that woman was his mother. authorities say he shot her 11 times using firearms that belonged to his father. >> another example of an individual that was not able to legally possess a firearm, but he had, he had a number of them, killing his mother, and then trying to kill police

officers and others at the scene that day. >> the standoff ended when suspect was found dead from a self inflict gunshot wound, no one else was hurt. now to an update to a story we told but last week baby girl released from the hospital after she was mauled by racoon in north philadelphia four month-old journey was sent home yesterday after she was attacked inside an apartment on north 22nd street last week journey's family rushed her to the hospital where she received 65 stitches and multiple rabies shots. journey's mother told us the attack happened after a few days they moved in. >> she was just laying on the floor, like across the floor. she was real strong because all she wanted to do afterward was get to sleep. >> according to philadelphia licenses and inspections the owner of the home does not have a license to rent the property, officials are now investigating. journey and her family are staying at a local hotel while they look for a more permanent place to stay. philadelphia to second other major cities are suing department of defense for failing report names of the

tennessee. gunshots rang out just after 7:00 last night. police say one teen and one adult were bet struck. they are in non-critical condition. eyewitness says woman fired shots after a fight broke out. >> all of a sudden we heard arguing. once we heard arguing we heard people, you know, they were fighting. they were in an actual altercation. to minutes laters shots rang out and everybody ran to different exits. police after rested four people in connection with that shooting (. closer to home people in northwestern, pennsylvania, they are used to snow but maybe not this much snow. officials are issuing a disaster emergency for all erie county after area was hit with more than 4 feet of snow in less than 36 hours. many people plowed their driveways and dug out their car yesterday. snowplows might not get to the side streets until main road are cleared which may not be until sometime later today. crews have been out 24/7 but they are still so far behind. >> the highest we were given initially was 36 inches, which

even that is usually in erie terms doesn't happen, so 53 inches is certainly a record breaker and something that, you know, wasn't even on the horizon to be honest with you. >> wow. as of right now officials say many side road are dangerous and impassable and they are urging people to stay inside as crews work to clear the streets no word how long the area will be in the state of emergency. officer in maine went above and beyond call of duty helping local shop owner dig out after that massive christmas day snowstorm. police officer ben happened to be on patrol as betsy curtis struggled to shovel a path to her shop. without thinking twice, the officer jumped out of his patrol car, grabbed his shovel and started digging. curtis snapped the photo and posted the photo and thanking the officer for their help. >> they do amazing things all the time. >> one of the things about being a police officer to show community you care. other part it is just the right thing to do. >> those two were not only won

sudden, and, and and eastern half of the u.s. area of low pressure working through alabama, mississippi, georgia, causing primarily rain and icing. if your traveling takes to you atlanta you may encounter some issues. here locally arctic high pressure is the story and man will this take a rip of our area. we are talking about frigid conditions in the days ahead. we will not even hit freezing mark, through the weekend and into the first couple days of the new year no less. so absolutely frigid conditions across the entire del marva peninsula, in new jersey, all of pennsylvania, northeastern area is sitting and stuck in this arctic air mass. here's where we currently stand, currently feels like 13 n reading. brutal stuff. wind isn't all that bad. pat mentioned earlier in the show remember how cold it was

across the northern high plains, factor in the wind and it feels more lake 20, 30, even 40 plus degrees below zero. it is just brutal in those spots. we could have it worse like they do in those areas. but frigid conditions will continue for a stretch. there is still a possibility, that we will see some snow on saturday, but the stars have to align if you will on. that we will have more on that throughout the show but there is no warm up anytime soon, pat so we're stuck. >> sit weird i wouldn't mind having that kind of snow, that they have had in erie. >> yeah, pretty weird. >> we're all in agreement. >> but i dent mind a big snowstorm, you know, meteorologists love that sort of thing. i'm kind of the same way. i'm weird. i just don't want to shovel it good morning, everyone here's a look at the boulevard expressway right at the schuylkill expressway, earlier on this morning, just north of this, on the ridge avenue off ramp, right there, there was an overturn van, burst into flames, driver had to be saved
