>> breaking news this morning, battling fire and ice in brutally cold conditions, we're live with how a firefighter and three people were hurt overnight in burlington county. this is is the worse fire we've seen in than a century. >> fire in the bronx rips through apartment building, the latest developments. and the bitter cold continues, and that coat, mittens and scar lincoln financial field get quite the work out over the next few days, we're looking at frigid start to 2018. >> today is friday, december 29th, good morning,

feels like, not much better, than the same time yesterday. although, lancaster, reading, with the wind easing up, a lot less harsh, but still down into dangerous territory if you have to be out in this for extended period of time. more like single digits, the most harsh air still up in the mountains, currently four on the thermometer, feeling about ten plus degrees colder than that, pat. so it is obviously still freezing, and just not going to ease up any time soon. >> you can see the wind behind me, whipping on this camera, this is a look at 95 northbound, there is an accident out there, right now, the right two lanes and the shoulder are blocked. this is right before columbus boulevard, as you can see, traffic is sneaking by, on those two lanes to the left. this is out there. so if you are taking 95 northbound, again, right before columbus boulevard, the right two lanes are blocked. as we move little further north to the city, no delays on the vine street expressway. between 95 and the schuylkill expressway. so we are looking good there. and looking good on the ben franklin bridge as well.

my favorite camera. it looks beautiful this morning, no one coming from camden into philly just yet. looks like people are taking off. i would like to take off on a friday, guys, back over to you >> pat, thank if you. we begin this morning with breaking news, four people including firefighter were hurt after two alarm fire ripped through a home in delanco burlington county overnight. >> right out to trang do live at the scene this morning, trang, what's the latest? >> reporter: well, jan, rahel, paramedics rushed three people to the hospital, a family, a father, mother and daughter, they had non-life threatening injuries, after firefighters and police officers rescued them from the roof of their home. firefighter was also taken to the hospital with a knee injury. take a look here at the scene, at this point, right now, the fire is out. but again, firefighters are still putting out hot spots. you can see all of the water dripping through the home. under some very cold icy conditions here. but here is video of the fire overnight. now, it started around 1:15

a.m. this morning, two story house on 600 block of union avenue in delanco township burlington county. they arrived to find heavy smoke engulfing the howls. family members on the roof. all three people who were home at the time were rescued. delanco fire chief todd johnson says ice on the ground was a billing hazard for firefighters, as well as the construction of the home, which axe sell rated the fire. take a listen. >> talking about almost two hours to get it under control. construction, which means there are no fire walls inbetween, it took us away while, and chasing fire in the walls itself. >> very dramatic rescues here on scene as multiple people were rescued from the roof of this home. coming up at 5:00 we will talk to neighbor who actually witnessed those rescues, and assisted in giving a ladder over here. but for now, live from delanco township, burlington county, back to you. >> see you at 5:00, thank you.

>> tragedy in new york now, a one year old child and at least 11 other are dead this morning after a fire breaks out in the bronx. this fire started just before 7:00 last night on the third floor after five story apartment building. fire block from the bronx zoo. at least 170 firefighters fought the fire in frigid temperatures. residents there describe the scene as utter chaos saying barely any time to escape the flames. >> the firetrucks weren't here yet when all of the smoke was coming out. the they started to get everybody out, but people were on the fire escape already trying to get down on their own. >> literally screaming. that's how we new there was trouble, because people were screaming fire, help, fire, help. >> at least 15 people are in critical condition. new york's mayor says this is the worse fire tragedy the city has seen in the last 25 years. no word yet on what caused that fire. it is a new years day tradition here in philadelphia , but the city's annual mummers parade may be

of route 73 in maple shade burlington county shutdown after a person was struck and killed by a car. >> this happened around 11:30 p.m. on the highway near waverly avenue. police are not saying at this point if the driver stayed on the scene after the deadly crash. the cause is still under investigation. friends are speaking out about a 15 year old boy who was shot to death in phoenixville. the teen, jason ortiz cameron, was gunned down on wednesday night, in a dunkin' donuts parking lot. police say cam on and others had planned to commit a robbery during a marijuana deal, cameron reportedly got into an argument with a driver and passengers in a black car seen on surveillance video, at least two other people were in that car and police believe one of them fired the deadly shot. now, some people who knew cam on were shocked by his death. >> i just had a conversation with him last week. and so like to see like i can't have another conversation with him. >> cameron was a student at phoenixville area high school. the school was open yesterday during the holiday break to

allow students to seek comfort with grief counselors. so investigators are still searching for the suspect. >> meantime, police have ruled that a 11 year old girl died of natural causes in northeast philadelphia. the girl was sleeping over at a neighbor's house tuesday night in the 9200 block of angus place, the neighbor found the child unresponsive wednesday morning, and called 911. investigators say there was no sign of trauma or any indication of foul play. >> we know the identity of the driver fatally shot by a plane clothes philadelphia police officer in germantown. this happened wednesday night in the 1900 block of west nidro avenue. police say two plane clothes officers were trying to pull over a car linked to deadly shooting in kensington last week, when the 25 year old driver, dennis plowed end, took off. an officer and his unmark car were hit before plowed end crashed into two parked cars, another officer then shot plowed end, after police say he made a threatening gesture and ignored repeated commands to show his hands, plowed end died yesterday morning at the
