i like it because it is different and when it is winter, it is supposed to be cold. >> feeling the chill, not everyone is upset bit, some people are enjoying the frigid temperatures, so many others are, battering the bitter cold , as best they can. we are tracking another round of winter weather. good evening, i'm jessica dean i'm nicole brewer in for ukee washington. we have felt freeze get ready for snow. >> meteorologist lauren casey in the weather center a lot to talk about as we head in the holiday weekend. >> a lot going on. we know temperatures are definitely cold enough to support snow, temperatures in fill after been sub freezing for more than 72 hours, right now, and at times, well below

freezing like at present, to 22 degrees in philadelphia 16 in allentown. we are at five in mount pocono we have a breeze kick nothing. our feels like temperature 7b low in the poconos, 57 above in allentown, feeling like 12 in philadelphia and feeling like 9 degrees right now in trenton. we will keep around this cold, arctic, frigid air, as we head into our new years holiday as well, heading out to enjoy fire works you will need to be seriously bundled up, fighting cold, 6:00 p.m., 19 degrees around midnight, 13 with this northwesterly wind up around 10 to 15. it will feel like zero. potentially down to five below when we ring in 2018. all quiet as we look live at center city philadelphia we have 22 degrees reading north westerly winds at nine feeling more like 12 and we will add some snow in 12 hours we could see flakes flying with this clipper system. up wind moving through parts of the lower midwest and will arrive as we head into our

saturday. travel conditions for tonight, looking good, we will stay dry , very cold but then steady , light snow for good chunk of our daytime hours tomorrow and then looking good once again as we head into sunday but we could still see slick spots because none of that snow will melt anytime soon, so what to expect? clipper systems are known for being fast moving systems, they don't have a whole lot of moisture but we will get a quick hit on accumulating snow , steady snow developing i think for most across the delaware valley by 8:00 o'clock this is morning. steady snow starting to wrap up around one or 2:00 in the afternoon but we could see lingering snow showers into the evening hours as well and that will contribute to some poor driving conditions, of course work these cold, cold temperatures. we will talk more about the snowfall, how much will accumulate and potentially are coldest or second coldest new years day on record, ever. we will have all of the fun details in a few, jessica a lot of record setting, thanks very much. penndot crews spent the day brining road ahead of the

parade. >> i understand concerns because of the instruments that are involved, i understand the concerns because of the money that is involved, in putting these outfits together. plus i also understand the concerns because of the older people that are mummers and young children that are mum mers. >> reporter: monday's mummers parade will be met with bitter cold temperatures, with wind chills dipping down in the single digits, it is forcing the city to consider moving the parade to january 6th, the parade route is already lined with barricade, and city will be setting up heating tents and warm bus's long the route for the mummers. some bands have started to practice outside getting acclimated to the bone chilling temperatures. >> i am hoping it goes off and i'm sure people will come out in matter what. >> reporter: we caught up with fans like linda friedman in the heart of the south philadelphia's italian market. >> would you go out for the parade. >> would i. >> back in the day, when we were younger we went out in our fur coats, our hats, boots , no matter what.

decked out for the season. we sent vittoria woodill to give us a look at this yuletide tradition, tori. >> that is right, if there was one place to say farewell to holiday fest, we are truly at the place that is doing it, big, to say farewell. this is a 18-foot, christmas tree, completely decorated, in dried flowers this is only one of the special rooms where the conservatory now, but one of the one, one of the many special rooms that is decked out in style and style that is truly, all american, lets take a look. celebrate the traditions of holiday past at winterthur the magnificent estate of henry frances du pont. >> it is he or oversaw the rise to become one of the great american country estates of the early 20th century. >> reporter: almost 60 years ago it was he, who opened up his childhood home of 175 rooms to the public to showcase more than 90,000 pieces of carefully cure rated

americana and it all started with this dresser. >> it just captured his imagination, he felt this is what he should be collecting as an american, he should collect american furniture. >> reporter: notice as you tour each room during yuletide season that each one set for holidays telling stories of how christmas was celebrated in certain time period in america. but look closely and you'll note that is place settings hold a special set in mr. du pont's heart. he even acquired a very special, set that was used by george washington. >> mr. du pont collected thousands of upon thousands of dishes. he had about 50 sets that he actually used. he kept lists, for over 50 years of every meal that was served at this table. >> reporter: he has a set of tankards made by paul reveer. >> right through can see the mark of paul reveer. >> reporter: with so much to see, in this coming new year and every year, mr. du pont has always hoped his home
