>> the bottom dropping out? >> it is interesting, i hear the word nor'easter, automatically your minds goes to how much snow are we getting, right? >> in terms of philadelphia, we think 1993 and 96. >> oh, exactly, absolutely, even 2009 to 2010 when we had the the most snows of an entire season, you know, all of those things, olds enough, young enough, relatively speaking, but we remember. granted dow think we have a good shot to see snow out of the next nor oester, the legacy leaving behind more so about the cold, winds, ushering and actually generating on its very own. we start it off by going outside, just looking at specifically the windchill issue. that has been a near nationwide concern. now, as of early this morning, almost the entire eastern two thirds of the us were stuck in a windchill advisory, what you
12:20 pm
are currently seeing, is where it is most confined, at this point, even still have one down in across the park of south texas, but anywhere from western pa, out to the central planes, the whole state of missouri, those poor folks, are stuck in this, as is illinois. it is so incredibly harsh in these spots. but, when you look at the feels-like temperatures you can understand why. these are current. it still feels like sub zero essentially everywhere, you run out of colors on the spectrum of the legends to even show it so cold. so just stark white is all you will find up near the hudson bay, and with the core of the current batch of cold that's across the usa which is in those areas where you still have the advisories and warnings posted. now, talking about nor'easter, where is it? it hasn't actually formed yet. that's part of the question mark that remains here. it is going to form off the southeast coastline, i'll show you future weather model, as an idea of when this will get underway. and it, for the most part, at least as far as mid-atlantic is concerned and southeast that matter, it will stay off
12:21 pm
shore. but just enough moisture, gets thrown back, and clips the coastline, that's where our snow potential will come from. now, notice, as early as 7:00 a.m. tomorrow, places like northern florida are in the midst of some icing out of this. it is so cold, even that far south they had windchill advisories as of this morning. then you see little batch of snow, that's going to work its way up the carolina coastline, eventually toward the delmar have, and eventually here. so, through the day, even as early as late tomorrow night, especially through the first part of thursday, that is when we likely see the snow come in but notice, it will get out of here relatively quickly: probably see the back edge of this by noontime or just shortly thereafter at least across the delaware, then it certainly is a potent storm. look at this. the bulk of it, it really atlantic canada, and new england concern. so, we will get glancing blow whether it comes to snowfall. what we won't get glancing blow is the chill in it wake, current expectation, i think for the most part looking up to maybe coating, if anything,
12:22 pm
frankly, through part of berks county, parts of lehigh county , you may get gipped from this. just the way the storm rotate through. right now, you know, we may need to up the expectation, in southeast new jersey, but the general call is just for couple of inches out at the shore point, then maybe more like coating to 2 inches just to the north and west of that. that would include delco, philadelphia county. winter storm watch has been issued extending up and down the southeast jersey coastline , it had just been across the southern delmarva peninsula, now that's been extended, and we are maybe going to see that get a little bit more expanded before said and done. beautiful scene outside pleasant valley middle and high school. but it is still very cold out that way. eighteen your current temperature, let me show you what is yet to come here. we almost hit freezing tomorrow. not quite. almost. but that's where the pattern was trying to warm itself up. going to screach to halt here with the nor'easter coming in, and behind it, oh, friday, joe , that just looks so incredibly harsh.
12:23 pm
i think that our windchill value all day long may not even hit zero. and that's in the city, too. that's not even just the poconos. really harsh. >> wow, katie, thank you. well, how cool is this? newborn twins in california born on different days, and in different years. joaquin born at 1158 december 31, keep track here, just two minutes before the new year. now his twin sister, ittana, 18 minute after her brother, but in the new year. this staff who helped deliver the twins say joaquin was the last baby delivered in the hospital for 2017, and ittana the first baby delivered in 2018. quite a story to tell for the families, they are coming
