sidewalks, driveways but new skies have cleared, and temperatures have listen. look at these numbers at 44 degrees in philadelphia. 12 degrees warmer then this time yesterday when we were right around freezing, it is 45 in dover, 41 wilmington and 40 degrees in allentown but there is a problem, snow really did start to melt. i don't know if you saw it but drifting off my gutter pipes all day so there is a lot of water, puddles, wet spots so temperatures do drop below freezing again tonight. there is potential for re freeze as we head into tomorrow morning not a ton but if there is something that looks wet when you walk outside tomorrow morning watch out it could be ice once again we will continue to melt that snow. temperatures got back to normal and then we will climb higher by friday, 60 degrees and we said taste of april, 60 but also april is men for one or thing, april showers, i will tell you when rain returns to the forecast as well, coming up. so looking like weather won't be a problem saturday for battle of the bird at

for weeks, upon weeks, in fact , today was first day since christmas we have been at or above average, so it is just cold for a really long time. this is like minnesota cold not philadelphia cold. we can complain about that. >> today's normal. >> today is normal or above average today and we are getting higher by end of the week but for my money to day is nicest day of the seven day forecast it is sunniest day and quiet day we have rain coming in later in the week but lets start off with what is happening right now. we will take you out to a beautiful sunset as day winds down in cape may, see piles of snow there along the street and little bit of glistening there. so here's the problem temperatures will drop below freezing tonight, comfortable, seasonal night but below freezing. any melted snow from today could refreeze, and i don't expect extent of the ice we had this morning there will be icy spots and we will talk about that in a moment but beautiful sunset shot and looking at time lapse video from today in rehoboth beach,

looks good as well, you can see sun moving across water there people out trying to walk on the boardwalk it is still snow covered and a lot of snow down the shore and through delaware beaches but looking good right now with temperature at 43 degrees, in rehoboth beach. thirty-nine in wildwood. forty-four here in philadelphia 39 degrees in reading. forty up in allentown right now. so pretty comfortable evening all things considered since it was just in the teens a few days ago. temperature change over pennsylvania 24 hours you can see we have listen, 13 degrees from where we were at this time yesterday, 11 degrees warmer in trenton, 14 degrees warmer then yesterday in allentown. a big surge of warm air has moved in and feels nice outside. storm scan three again showing clear skies all across the region no problems outside this evening, and we don't really have anything to talk about weather-wise at lee until thursday night into friday when we could see another round of wet weather this time but this time it will in the bring ice. overnight watch for a few scattered slick spots left

over ice melt refreezing watch for patchy black ice not the extent that we saw tonight but icy spots on the sidewalk, porches, walkways, things like that and snow melt could re freeze as we drop down to 25 ded calm. tomorrow sunshine in the morning and then cloud increasing, seasonal at around 40 but by end of the week all this moisture starts to load up, warm front pushes through and we will have rain moving in thursday night, rain all day friday, heavier at times and then showers likely even into saturday morning, so a long duration rain system, starting late thursday night. here's good news look at how warm it is, 60 the high on friday, so anything that falls with this next system is just plane old rain and which is a whole lot easier to drive in the ice and snow. temperatures drop on saturday, chilly for eagles game and cold again sunday, monday, tuesday with highs around freezing but you know what, you cannot complain we have got back to normal and warm by end of the week.
