be another accessory to keep handy, lauren casey joining us with a look at possible snow showers >> special tuesday. it looks like an overnight event for most. as far as the timing, today, there was the cold air that returned after the break on friday, with temperatures in the 60's today. we couldn't escape the 20's, our high temperature only 27 degrees in philadelphia. nowhere near normal high temperature of 40 and we started off today, in the teens. at 14 degrees, and temperatures back down into the teens once again, 16 in allentown, 18 in trenton, 17 in wilmington, 20 barely in philadelphia, and 6 in mount pocono. little bit of a breeze out of the north. that cold air continuing to build in so our feels like temperature in the single digits at all of our reporting sites feeling like eight above in philadelphia, feels like four in reading. feeling like eight at this hour in atlantic city. and overnight tonight into early

gun. in his waistband. >> male is out of the car and he has what is the firearm out, he's now produced that firearm. at that point, the other highway patrol officer fires we believe three times, we're double-checking but definitely fired more than once, strike the male. the male raw struck at least once in the torso area. >> the man was taken to temple university hospital. as for the 26-year-old driver, police say he was compliant and was not charged. the investigation is ongoing. we know now the circumstances surrounding a deadly two-car crash in burlington county. this happened about 4:30 p.m. yesterday in willingboro, robert and janet stevenson of burlington township were waiting to cross over route 130 on to bridgeboro road when or two driver sped into the jug handle and hit them. couple. minivan was propelled over an embankment and into the body of water. investigators are looking into whether the charge to 29-year-old who caused that crash. burlington city police also

responded to a deadly scene involving a car in the water from river bank road in wood street about 1:30 this afternoon, police say the driver was traveling at a high rate of speed when he hit a parked car, bolted over the river wall and into the i see delaware river. a female passenger was killed. driver left the scene but picked up by police and taken to the hospital. no charges have been filed just yet at this time. police say it was an argument with a family member that led to the deadly standoff last week in south jersey that we reported on, authorities also released the name of the man found dead when officers were finally able to enter the sicklerville home following a 13-hour standoff. 24-year-old michael glennon died of an apparent self inflicted gunshot wound. gloucester township schools were closed thursday, due to the standoff. which happened at a home on hampshire road. no other injuries were reported. now, to the latest in hawaii. where the federal communications

commission now says the state government did not have safeguards in place to prevent yesterday's missile alert mistake. the accidental alert rattled residents and tourists, many of whom say they didn't know what to do or where t officials say they will continue to investigate how it happened. a congress woman from hawaii called it an unacceptable mistake. reporter shante, rand has been covering this. you did hear from a woman who used to live in philly, but now calls hawaii home? >> natasha her name is mandy burleigh. she described feelings of panic which quickly morphed in frustration. >> philadelphia native amend burleigh describes the moment inside her home when she received the false alert. warning that a ballistic missile was headed towards hawaii.

discounts available. a nearly 5,000 people throughout the philadelphia area had their pantries stocked today. 1200 volunteers of all ages spent the morning packing food boxs at the jewish relief agency northeast philadelphia warehouse. each box contains approximately 14 pounds of nonpunishable produce. it was loaded into cars and delivered to families in need. the chosen 300 mission used their mlk day of service. they held a nondominational service in their west philadelphia location before feeding those in need. the mission distributes more than 150,000 meals a year to the homeless of center city philadelphia, west philly and pottstown. it's on the location where dr. king spoke in 1965 as part of the freedom tour where 10 thousand gather to do the corners of 40th and lancaster and haverford. lauren, is in the birthday

pleasant beach around 10 miles per hour, 17 miles per hour in rehoboth beach. around 11 at philadelphia international airport and that is adding to that windchill factor so overnight tonight act frigid breeze, 17 degrees, a windchill value down into the single digits. and for tomorrow, mlk day, a mix of sun and clouds with maybe a passing snow shower more likely a few flurries in and around the city, chance of passing snow shower will be at the coast, a high temperature again below grees. stormscan 3 showing us quiet conditions right now, but we're watching our next weather maker clipper system right now impacting parts of lower midwest and it will continue to swing in as we head into tuesday and tuesday night. we do have a chance of an isolated snow shower mainly down the shore tomorrow, tomorrow morning, and a better widespread chance of light snow as we head tuesday into tuesday night potentially a lingers snow shower into wednesday morning. so future weather showing us, blips with moisture moving in, and to actually the snow showers will move from east to west.

which is fairly atypical. you can see a few flakes as we head throughout the morning hour, shouldn't be too impactful, quiet until we head into tuesday and that clipper system begins to pull in and develop best chance for morning somehow on tuesday will be north and west of the i95 corridor. with snow falling northwestern suburb, lehigh valley, berks, the poconos and the band starting to push in timing has been going back and forth between these model runs now this latest run brings some of the snow in, later into the evening hours and overnight periods that will be the best chance of accumulating snow for philly, south jersey and the shore this week, tuesday night, most of us are sleeping, looks like the moisture will move out by mid morning, some other models do have the moisture linking into about the 8:00, 9:00 hour, it will be a more patchy in nature. we'll see more widespread and steady snow overnight as far as future snowfall amounts, could see about one to two inches generally in and around philadelphia. higher amounts to the north and west where snow event will be prolonged.
