6:44 am
average for this time of the year. we're at 28 degrees in wilmington. down short in the 20's. twenty-six in atlantic city. twenty-nine in wildwood. in allentown we are checking in around 33 degrees and in the poconos even there we are in the lower 30's. that is a true sign that it will be a mild day to day. winds are on the calm side of things, wins are not going to be an issue today, like yesterday, we had a little bit of the wind chill as we started out the morning. that is not the case this morning. winds won't be an issue for tailgaters. they are not an issue for players as well as we head toward game time. so here is your eagles tailgating forecast. 45 degrees by noon hour. mixture of sun and cloud. these cloud thickening up as we head throughout the afternoon though. we will be turning mostly cloudy, just ahead of game time here at 4:00 o'clock. look at that, temperatures in the lower 50's. by game time next week we bumped this temperature up a little bit since yesterday, 47 t around 6:40. really, really great weather for the bird.
6:45 am
mostly cloudy skies and warmth actually favors eagles. there have been three playoff games where kick off temperature has been 40 degrees or higher and eagles won all three of those games. so this is a really good sign forbidder today. they have out scored their opponent, around 27-15. and storm scan three shows us a very quiet picture, we have some, clear skies, as we head down into south jersey, also into delaware, notice cloud out to the west, those moving in and thickening up throughout the day-to-day and then we are keeping an eye on our next system that is traveling our way, and heaviest rain won't be arriving though, until tuesday , really tuesday morning, and so, lets talk about how things play out on future weather. heading throughout the day notice those cloud will be on the increase, here we are at noon time, and there could be a spring from point to the north and i mean well to the north and actually to the west , so we will stay dry, throughout the game, and then there could be a stray spring will around fourth quarter, the end of the game, but really the better chance for to us stay dry and sprinkle
6:46 am
stay to our north, a stray sprinkle overnight and also sprinkle possible heading in to monday. much of the monday also looking dry. here's what happens as we head into tuesday, look at this, heavy batch of rain that pushes through from west toe, and we could even see a rumble of thunder, as this rain moves on through. so moderate to heavy at times will be a possibility and also very breezy, that is all you can expect at your tuesday, behind the rain we are going to be cooling down, significantly looking at 44 by wednesday, 38 on thursday, and your forecast for today, 51 degrees in philadelphia, mild, increasing cloud, and then your seven day forecast goes like this. forty-four by wednesday, breezy, cooler, sunshine, brisk on thursday, and then we are back up to 50 in no time by next saturday, jan. >> chelsea, thank you. 6:46. time to check the road. lets go to matthew workmister at cbs-3 traffic center, good morning, matthew. >> reporter: good morning, jan we start off with a serious accident at 4:30 looking at 95
