>> thank you, meisha. breaking overnight, 37 people are confirmed dead after a hospital catches fire in south korea, more than 100 others are hurt. that fire started in the first floor emergency room, it was put out nearly three hours later. the hospital and the nearby nursing home were evacuated around 200 patients were inside. still, no word on a cause. >> new york times is reporting the president trump back down from order that he made to fire special council robert mueller, but only after his white house attorney threatened to quit. minutes ago, the president called that report fake news. mueller is investigating allegations of russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election. weijia jiang picks up the story. >> cord being to the new york times, president trump orders the justice department to fire special council, robert mueller last june. the president reportedly cited conflict every interest, including, that mule her been interviewed to return as fbi director, the day before he was appointed special council.

harrassment allegations. next year.plans to ret congressman meehan is accused of making unw on a young staff member, who he described as his soul mate. he's been under fire since we learned that he used taxpayer money to give her a secret settlement after she left the job. on tuesday, the congressman told "eyewitness news," the two went out for ice cream last spring, he also admitted to giving her the pay -out. >> she was talking about brand new relationship that she had. i opened the door to something , which i said that you're leaving me is going to hurt in one sense. i believe that to be a payment of a severance, because i wanted her not to walk out of the situation once it got engaged with attorneys, in a way that was just going to be harmful. >> congressman meehan still faces an ethics committee investigation and house speaker paul ryan told him to repay the taxpayer money.

well, a chaddsford priest is under arrest this morning, following an investigation into drug activity. the philadelphia archdioces says monsignor greg is facing drug possession, drug distribution and theft charges police began the investigation last may after envelope addressed to the monsignor came to saint corneilius parish, it contained what staff thought were inch lil ago drugs, he has been replaced. a robber posing as mailman point a gun at a father while he's holding his baby and is caught on camera. this happened wednesday on the 5400 block of north second street in olney. police say the bogus postal worker and three other suspect then forced the man into his home where they took his car, his iphone, and the keys to his car and house. the victim says he was afraid for the life of his nine month old son. >> by the time i put, like, i turned back, he's behind me really. >> did you think he was a mailman? >> no, he said he had a package for me.

>> now, fortunately the baby was not hurt. based on the timing, authorities think it may have been a targeted robbery. >> lawyers for bill cosby file motion to dismiss the sexual assault charges against the comedian. they say there is not enough evidence to prove the alleged encounter with andrea constand occurred within the statute of limitations. cosby's first trial ends in the june with a hung jury. his retrial is set to begin in april. >> well, more than two dozen philadelphia firefighters will receive promotions today, the fire department semi-annual promotions and awards ceremony will take place later this morning in north philadelphia. you'll looking at file from last year's ceremony. lieutenant matthew latourno who died battling house fire earlier this year will be promoted. the department will also honor several members and companies awards for heroism and letters of common days. well the clock is counting down to super bowl sunday with nine days and change left before the eagles take on the patriots in minnisota birds

>> ♪ >> ♪ >> ♪ >> ♪ >> hundreds of people met at a vigil in the town of fenton, not far from marshall county high school. a 15 year old boy is accused of opening fire at that school on tuesday morning killing two teenage classmate, and injuring 18 other, prosecutors want to charge him as an adult an armed robber with a sweet tooth is on the run in california. the robbery, at a tanning salon in walnut creek, caught on surveillance camera, shows the suspect flashing a box cutter demanding worker to empty out the cash register, money apparently wasn't enough suspect then held himself to candy before leaving the salon >> i got the feeling that this guy is just by the way he looks probably a drug addict, possibly homeless. >> salon own here happens to be retired sheriff deputy has been canvassing the neighborhood hoping to catch the suspect. >> new jersey couple gets married in a bathroom, after their wedding day takes a

wet weather move in, though, as early as tomorrow night. so, high pressure is yelding to another frontal boundary, then as we look forward, eventually pretty decent dip in the jet stream here allowing very cold air to sing in, so this is getting into the first days of february, sort of just a look down the road here, now, you don't want to see the darker shades reach us, but starting to at least get into some of the darker blue territory, up toward the poconos, looking ahead to the first two days of the next month. so, there is some colder air wait being in the wings. but for now, it is actually a pretty nice day. all the way up to 45 degrees, you have virtually no wind, it is turning more southerly, that means, it is not going to feel quite so harsh, you still need a coat, pretty heavy one, but the high heads 45, minus the wind, looks like nice afternoon and nice finish to the week. it is clear, calm, colder tonight, down to 33 degrees, but even compared to where we currently stand, really not all that bad. now the weekends is the mildest. certainly. mid 50's for you both saturday , sunday, but there is

>> overlooking main street in bethlehem, the lehigh campus, the neighborhoods, real tranquil beginning to the day here. very limited traffic obviously out there, all everyone loan car out there, driving, and we're looking ahead to some real nice weather here today. very, very quiet finish to the work week for us. this is the stuff we like to wrap up the work week with.

even though it is january, and temperatures aren't necessarily going to mean that you can walk out the door without a coat. at least it is more comfortablement storm scan quiet. high pressure to thank for. that will and it is that way, right through the rest of the day and night, and for the better part of tomorrow. so you'll see storm scan remain nice and quiet, but your whole weekend is not a wash here. most of tomorrow looks quite nice actually. any rain that would move in, starts to get here specially toward night fall, and specially far north and west. so, in short, philly has a shot to stay dry through most of the day and even the night, rain won't even start to move in in the overnight hours, but then, first half of sunday is where it looks the motion wet on sunday as all front frontal passage, as it cross through, just little damp, for your weekends, with locally higher amounts expected through south new jersey and delaware, with us, some ample might tour to work with, 26 the current
