closure kind of getting used to, was not closed in n day but every day this week since then, excuse me it, has been closed so schuylkill eastbound between vine and south street for those every you just joining thus morning, that's now since been cleared. however, one westbound lane also was closed and that has now cleared out of the way, too, so looking really good on the schuylkill. speaking of construction in norristown, so route 202, between washington street and lafayette street, alternate lanes are open there is will be an area that will start to maybe hang us up in the 6:00 hour. not so much in the 5:00 hour. also, two-point of construction here new jersey, 295 north and south at route one, left lane will be compromised until they're guessing around 6:00 a.m. route 29 is closed right now between west upper ferry road and scenic drive. you will have to use an alternate, the only one where you have to use alternate around it, route 579 around this area, it will be your best bet. but i'll be reminding you this more as we progress in the 5:00 hour. back over to you. >> days after an explosive report of sexual misconduct, pennsylvania republican congressman pat meehan says he

"eyewitness news" reporter trang do, live in the news center more on this story. good morning, trang. >> good morning, jim. in a sit down interview with cbs-3 on tuesday, congressman meehan said he would not resign and planned to run for a fifth term. but now just few days later appears public outcry is changed his mind. >> did you sexually harrass this former female staffer? >> no, i did not sexually harrass this former female staffer. >> earlier this week, seven district congressman pat meehan didn't shy away from answering questions about a settlement reached with a former staffer, over her allegations of sexual harrassment. >> i paid a severance because i cared about her and i didn't want her to be in a situation that was not going resolve itself for years. >> the woman filed a complaint after she says her boss became hostile toward her after learning she was in a relationship. so meehan called the decade younger woman a soul mate, he insists he kept the relationship purely professional. the settlement money ultimately paid to her came

from taxpayer funds. the move meehan's constituents , democrats and fellow republicans, have sharply and publicly criticized. >> thursday about two dozen protesters gathered outside of the congressman's springfield office to call on him to resign. >> i feel so sorry for this woman who had to live through that and to keep it quiet is outrageous in using taxpayer monday. >> i same day in the letter to his campaign chairman, meehan announced woe not be seeking a fifth term in congress, and will retire. writing, quote, unfortunately, recent events concerning my office and the settlement of certain harrassment allegation haves become a major distraction, i need to own it because it is my own conduct that fueled the matter. meehan will not disclose how much the settlement was, but says he will pay back the funds if asked by the ethics committee to do so. meanwhile the national

suspect posing as a mailman point a gun at a man who is holding his nine month old son this happened wednesday on the 5400 block of north second street in olney. investigators say, the bogus mailman and three other suspect then forced the man into his home. police say the thieves took his cash and iphone and keys to his house and car. the victim says he was afraid for his son's life. >> by the time i put, like, i didn't pay attention, but i turned back, he was behind me really, okay? >> he said he got a package for me. >> now, based on the timing authority say it may have been a targeted robbery. the child, fortunately, was not hurt. >> well, the eagles need just one more win to do what no eagles team has done before, win the super bowl. the squad now back on the practice field, nick foles and the squad ahead of the team trip to minnesota. trying to concentrate on the super bowl against tom brady, bill belichick and the new

month on average anyway, for philadelphia. where we typically end up with about 8.8 inches, throughout the span of the month. the average high temperature is just shy of 44 degrees, so by this point, starting to rebound, starting to pull out of the coldest time of year. but it is still cold. now, let's talk super bowl weekend. i want to jump you actually all the way to super bowl game day. so, overnight, in minneapolis, it will be down to the 20's, but see this purple starting to nudge in? now this only goes over the span of six hours, that's why you won't see too much of a change, until we hit few hours passage, but put it into motion, by the time they've kick off, you're in the sub zero territory. now thank goodness they have a dome. but anybody that's outside is going to have to be you have ally careful about being in that cold. meanwhile here in philly, low 30's, big deal, feels pretty comfortable. chilly 14 country outside pleasant valley middle and high school broads heads ville , pretty clear sky at the moment, virtually no wind to speak of either. so it is quiet. and even though it is still

cool, nice finish to the week here. mid week, or mid 50's, rather, for the upcoming weekend, cold front crossing through, tomorrow night specially into the first half of sunday some rain comes along with it, meisha. >> all right, katie, i got to say i'm pretty excited to see that big sunshine today. we are very well deserved at this point. looking at 95 south at allegheny. what we are working with right now, overall volume levels are have actually kept steady. they will hopefully on friday they typically do until little later. but all the way up to the sky we can see some flashers on, just heads up on, that but volume isn't going to slow you down, probably won't have any gaper delay, just heads up it is oust there. quick peak at the vine, see if my click letter work, jump on the westbound side of the schuylkill, see, vine westbound looking actually real good. eastbound side, heating up ever so slicely, overall still looking good on the vine. then blue route at the schuylkill, take a look, nice open roadways for anyone headed out there right now on the blue route. however, our construction crews are still out there this morning, 295, just cleared. that's good.

>> deadly fire in south korea killing at least 37 people, injuring 100 more. that fire started around 7:30 a.m. localm. te it was put out nearly three hours later, the hospital and the nearby nursing home evacuated. around 200 patients were inside at the time of the blaze, the cause of the fire investigation. well, a felony over food and in western pennsylvania, three teenage girls are facing criminal charges, after an incident involving pineapples. now there is happened during lunchtime at butler intermediate high school on december 15, butlerhe girls deliberately exposed their classmates to pineapple, a fruit to which she is allergic. >> defendant put pineapple on her hands, then they conjured, coat philadelphia like a game, or, you know, the plan to expose her through high fiving her. >> this is bizarre, the teen with the at earl allergy is okay, butler immediate high school does not serve
