you know, trying to be involved as much as i can, i still to have do my own rehab and work out so i'm there for everything but i'm trying to get to practice and doing everything i can to help. >> reporter: helping while healing, now at 6:00 still on the mend carson wentz opens up about his recovery from his injured knee and how he is staying involved during this super bowl run. good evening, i'm jessica dean. i'm nicole brewer in for ukee washington. our leslie van arsdal is live at the novacare complex where number 11 spoke this afternoon , hi there, leslie. >> carson has been down here every single day either rehab bing or helping the team with that game plan but he has not talked to the media since his season ending injury. it turns out that jurist worse then we previously thought he tore both his acl and lcl in that game with the rams. now he says he will be back for the first game of the regular season in september. since his injury he has been rehabbing and helping nick

foles adjust to the offense but admits as you might imagine it is hard to be watching and not playing. >> as humans we all want to be out there on the field, you know, every time they go out on the field on sunday it is tough. it hits me a little bit but then i'm in it. i love these guys. i'm just as much part of this team as everybody else and i get involved in the game and it all goes away. without a doubt, it is tough not to be out there but i love watching these guys. i could not be happier for nick. >> as for the players, they are kind of bursting with excitement right now, so do they wish the game could be played this sunday, instead of next? well, it depends on who you ask and we will hear from them a little bit later when i see new sports. now back to you nicole and jessica. >> thanks, very much. eagles fans are getting the chance to see one of the star players tonight before

seventy-eightear-old charlie of mayfairght an old bus in 1971 and turned it into the eagles fan bus. there have been three differt buses over the years. >> original bus was on the roof, at paintrama at aramingo and torresdale a placed up there and replaced with the second bus. second bus we think 10 seasons with and that iscrap ya. this is the third bus. >> reporter: charlie has all sorts of pictures and appreciation letters from people like former coach dick vermeil. >> of these things on the bus, charlie, is what your favorite >> it is not here yet i'm still it, s, that is what i'm waiting for. this is the year we will do it i can feel it. you know why we are going to do it? because i'm noting this year. >> reporter: charlie has been to 23 super bowls but he and bus will be staying in philadelphia this year for a few reasons including distance and frigid temperatures but when philadelphia wins he says he will be celebrating in the

district official says fumes forced everyone out around 12:20 this afternoon. twenty-six students and four staff members were sickened. they all went to the area hospital for observation, authorities determined the numbers came from a generator used by workers on the roof. school reopened a half an hour later. south jersey doctor accused of arranging his wife's murder committed suicide today. james kaufman was found inside hudson county correctional center. cove man used a strip of the bed sheet to hang himself and left a six page suicide note. earlier this month kaufman was charged with hiring a hit man to kill his wife, april kaufman, a radio talk show host. an intruder shot her to death in the couple's home in 2012. three fire fighters were posthumously promoted to day among them matthew latourneau who was promoted to the rang of captain. "eyewitness news" at the temple youth performing arts center where the philadelphia fire department, held its semi semi annual promotion and award ceremony.

philadelphia. it will be a busy friday night not too cold, not raining, not snowing, perfect night to grab some dinner, walk around the city, you need to bundle up a little bit but nothing out of control. pretty seasonal january evening for us. our next front is heading our way. storm system across portions of the great lakes region, central can inadequacies bringing front through portion office minnesota there are some showers ahead of that main front and won't get here until late tomorrow night, so in the meantime, high pressure is in control, we have clear skies, looking forward to a good deal of sunshine to start our saturday. temperatures are dropping though with that clear sky. winds are light out of the south and ease, 37 in philadelphia, down to freezing in millville and 333 in wildwood. still a chilly night. still a january night. temperatures below freezing in most spots, many areas in the 20's overnight but it is dry and will stay dry. timing out the rain at 9:00 a.m. it looks frozen there is nothing to show you. clear sunlight sky tomorrow

morning, and then tomorrow morning, and, increase, a, still nice, and, cloud really gather tomorrow evening and then by midnight we will see some showers moving n steady of the rain will come through early sunday morning we will see heavy downpours along that boundary in the lehigh valley at 7:00 a.m., around 9:00 in the city and nearby suburbs and then shifting to the shore points around noon, heavy rain moving through here's 1:00 o'clock shore drenched but north and western zones are drying out and then cloud hang around and showers hang out through the afternoon and does look like most of the area will see rain in the morning and rain showers wrapping up by the afternoon. so early sunday is when widespread rain will be most noticeable and then next tuesday here's what we have to watch. potential coastal low could give wintry mix to the shore monday night and light snow on the back edge, perhaps as we head into early tuesday. there is descrepancy was. that doesn't look like much but something to watch out for mild weekend, rain on sunday

now they usually don't have two weeks off between games but this is the super bowl, they have two before that. now i'm sure all of the players are already sick and tired of answering the same questions over and over. do they wish they played the game this sunday? it depends which player you ask. >> i wish it was this week, honestly but you know, we will take two weeks and enjoy all of the festivities and you know, just enjoy the moment because it is rare to get here >> no, you know, for older guys it goodies to have an extra week. never bad. >> it doesn't make a difference to me this week or this week it will come soon enough but we're preparing like it thinks week. we're definitely doing that. we will be ready to go. >> the game is going to come. it will come and when it comes and we will be ready. >> as we told you, at the top of the show carson wentz speaking with the media for the first time since his
