underpass but yeah some really cool video for us here showing all that's left at least of that bright light of day now that the front is moving in. let's switch it over to storm scan take a look at the front that is going to be bringing us this next round of rain and then snow and it's got a mixed back on the radar just depending on where you are n new england it's been a very light snowfall throughout the entire morning now early afternoon but right on the leading edge of this we've had this southerly push that's aloud the temperatures to moderate up and that's why this is primarily a rain producing system but with time as this continues through the overnight the cold will catch up. you could see a shower at some point this afternoon but i think primarily it's after the sun has gone down that the bulk of this starts to overspread the area. 8:00 p.m., that light to moderate rainfall takes over. notice the colder air starting to nudge its way in and as that happens we'll see it turn over to snow. it's likely in the wee hours
12:21 pm
of very the early morning we'll see the change take place. as of midnight temperatures begin their decline with the colder air catching up and that's what's going to allow for that changeover. since it's on the heels of the front we're not expecting much out of that snowfall. but probably a coating to an inch. now, this is our european model's interpretation of it. that does mean that it is a model and it's not gospel but it's a guide to give you a sense of this is a very light accumulation. i would expect primarily just wet roads especially major roads but there could be a grassy accumulation out of this of again a coating to upwards of an inch. this would also coincide of course with wing bowl, at least the tailgate so i know the gates open at the well as of 4:00 a.m. you got that two hour window before the big event starts at 6:00 a.m. with angelo and the guys but snow showers are pretty likely out at the well here come tomorrow morning. so, you've been warned. now we look ahead to super bowl weekend and we had that first front pass on through. there's another reinforcing
12:22 pm
shot of cold coming in that's going to trigger saturday snow showers in minneapolis which gets to us come sunday but that's what sends these temperatures on such a downward spiral out in the twin cities. so, around kickoff we're going to be right around 0 degrees outside the dome, really cold stuff. meanwhile we're 17 degrees warmer than we were the same time yesterday here in philadelphia and as that a translates to the thermometer, i know rahel loves this 42 degrees hasn't sounded so balmy. it's a little breezy granted but we'll take it. it still feels like winter it is sort of a gray sky out there but it certainly is milder than what we're facing down the road here with reinforcing chill coming along. we talked about tonight's system into early tomorrow. watch for some tricky travel. on sunday i don't expect major accumulations whatsoever but kind of messy out there starting with some snow showers. it would turn over to rain as the temperature warms to 41 and then the temperature again
