hi, good afternoon i'm ukee washington. i'm nicole brewer n3 days and counting eagles will battle new england patriots for lombardi trophy and re democrats. jessica dean has been in minneapolis all week long showing us super bowl preparations and all of the excitement out there. what ising on out there, today >> hi, guys. you will notice to day we are inside, it is, i think five or 7 degrees outside and what is interesting about minneapolis, this is what they are used to here and net is we are in what looks like a mall. this is called a sky walk and there is 8 miles of that it connect all these downtown buildings. so we have been walking around all around downtown and we have not stepped foot outside which is really nice when it vice cold outside. that is what we're diagnosis here if you look at calendar you will notice, it is thursday, and thursday means, it is time for the fans to start getting here, come on down so our chantee lans is at philadelphia international

cbs-3 "eyewitness news". all right, chantee thanks very much. if we have learned anything in our days here in minneapolis we will be there waiting to welcome them here to minute so the a our cameras were actually there as well earlier today as these flights started rolling n we check in with the eagles fans as they touched down in minneapolis, here's what they had to say. >> we're just thrilled, i mean , we have been to every home game, we have just lived and died with this team. >> my moms, cousins, uncles, town of cinnaminson we are here as ambassadors for all eagles nation back at home. >> reporter: all week long we have seen a lot of purple, lot of vikings fans here as locals but it is so nice to start seeing a little bit of that eagles green making its way in downtown minneapolis in the mall of america down there in bloomington. now, within the show there is a show within the show when it comes to the super bowl, half time show and that is a big

extravaganza and grows every year and today, we went right down the street where justin timberlake addressed the world 's media to talk about this highly anticipate half time show this will be the third time he has performed, that is mess of any artists, ever. here's a peak inside today's press conference. the stage is all set for justin timberlake, people gathering here, to hear details of the half time show. this is as big as super bowl itself in a lot of ways, it is quite a production. look at the media assembled here, from all over the world. we have got dozens of cameras back there, hundreds of members of the media, waiting to hear from jt, and they want to know what he has got in store and here's what he had to say. >> without giving too much away we're doing a few things with this half time show that

performing for this third time , in the super bowl, and actually he is going to paisley park tonight for listening tour for his new album which drops tonight into tomorrow, and he is definitely , bucket list item. he is just like us, marking items off his bucket list as eagles fans are marking items off of their as well. just across the way, across mall of america, they are talking about the half time show but as it kind office in regards to the players. don bell was with the eagles today and don, they are having to take into account the length of the half time show because it is a lot longer half time then they are normally used to. >> reporter: yeah, it is a game changer, while justin timberlake is trying to bring sexy back the eagles will be trying to stay warm. yesterday, they practiced at the university of minnesota and during that session, they simulated a 30 plus minute

half time show. after that half time show, in the second half of their practice, they were not as sharp. so today during the media session the quarterback and the coach talked about it. >> you know, hey, get the team together, get coaches together and start, you know, browbeating everybody. we're so late in the season now that we understand how to practice but just making sure that we under stan the importance of one, that is why i did the break, was to put us in that situation, now we understand it so it is a very teachable moment. >> coming out in the second part of the practice it wasn't as clean as we wanted. we still got great work in. at any moment there is a great teaching moment. i think just address ago this early in the week before the game it is huge and guys are aware, coach does a great job of teaching in those moments so i would rather have it happen now then in the game. >> reporter: as far as the

game is concerned, injuries on the injury front the eagles are doing pretty well, however they have some health issues. defensive tackle timmy journigan and ronald darby, neither one met with the media this morning because they are dealing with undisclosed health issues, illnesses i should say and as far as the patriots are concerned, they are all world tight-end rob gronkowski has been cleared from concussion protocol so he will play on sunday. that is story from the mall of america, back to you. all right, don, thanks very much. well, over the course of the past few weeks we have seen a lot of eagles pride in various displays let's say but this one is probably the most cute one. i think you'll like this one a lot. take a look at these adorable little babies, here. this is the holy redeemer hospital maternity ward and you will notice that those little new borns are sporting some homemade, caps. now majority of those are eagles, is there a patriots

throughout philadelphia, and the entire region. once again it is the eagles and "eyewitness news", monday night. i want to cuddle up now, wintry weather moving our way. >> it is a messy mix of rain and snow. second of three storms systems targeting our area meteorologist chelsea in grammys live on the sky deck to tell us when we can see some snowflakes, chelsea. >> today is a different story compared to yesterday. we are dry outside right now but we have been overcast today where as, yesterday we saw sunshine. we have been a bit milder work southeasterly flow we have been able to make it in the 40 's. let me show you what those numbers across the region right around 45 degrees, in philadelphia, 45 also in wilmington, and look at that mild weather in dover, right around 50 degrees there, 49 in wildwood and 47 in atlantic city and it is right around 38 . we are warmer compare to this time yesterday, showing our temperature change across the region anywhere from 10 to a

this afternoon and they just wrapped up a short time ago, after two and a half hours of deliberating this jury of nine women and three men found the defendant guilty on all counts again, jury deliberating for two and a half hours today this were determining the fate of three two-year old edward archer charged with the ambush shooting of philadelphia police officer jesse hartnett on january 7th, 2016 in west philadelphia he claims he shot the officer in the name of ice is and jury saw overwhelming evidence by the prosecution, crime scene, video, photos as well as gun used in clothing worn by the defendant. they have even seen the actual bullet riddled car door of office are hartnett from his patrol car that night and they heard from officer hartnett as he took the stand for the prosecution. now the defense presented no real case here as archer had continued to not cooperate with his court appointed attorneys. we did speak with one of his attorneys a short time ago and he told us not once did they ever have a conversation about the facts of this case. so again archer found guilty

on all counts here, we have not seen officer jesse hartnett who had been in the courtroom throughout closing arguments all day with his family members who had become emotional as you can imagine. he has in the left the courthouse. of course, we'd like to get his reaction after this ordeal that is very latest for now reporting live from the criminal justice center natasha brown for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". >> we will see you later on. all repairs are complete on the patco high speed line rail line in new jersey, full services returned this afternoon. it had been interrupted since machine morning when train hit a utility pole near ferry avenue station in camden and tomorrow morning patco wants to make up for travel headaches. anyone riding the patco line between 6:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. will travel for free two middle school students were shot and wounded inside a los angeles classroom and police say a 12 year-old female student is in custody. shooting happened just before 9:00 this morning at south castro middle school.

fifteen year-old boy is shot in the head and is in critical but stable condition. a 15 year-old girl was shot in the wrist and is in fair condition. police did recover the weapon. so far no word on a motive. the ntsb continues continue on investigate why an amtrak train full of republican members of the congress hit a garbage truck. yesterday's crash killed a passenger inside that truck and injured two others. accident happened at crozer, virginia as lawmakers traveled to a retreat. it is unclear why the truck was in the path of that train, two people live in that town told the associated press that crossing arms on the tracks may have been malfunctioning. a democrats are calling for a republican representative to be removed from his position on the house intelligence committee over classified memo which details alleged interference in the 2016 election. the memo, written by representative devon nunez alleged that the fbi and department of justice abused surveillance of the president trump's campaign officials. congressman adam shift, the

the lehigh valley but we're dry in bethlehem in, a cloudy day out there, temperatures although overall milder compared to yesterday, new we will take to you another live look on our neighborhood network from across the river. you can see overcast skies over center city, and we have been dealing with cloudy skies all day and some rain will be moving in, here very shortly and we will talk about that. lets go to temperatures, 45 degrees in philadelphia, quite a difference compared to yesterday. yesterday we only make it to the 30's and that happened fairly late, it is 45 degrees in philadelphia, 45 in wilmington, main difference is we have had that flow coming from the south and west pretty much all day, wind rather light right now but we will see them making a big shift out of the north and west as we head into tomorrow that will bring us some big changes as we head in the afternoon. it will feel like the teens and temperatures throughout the day tomorrow will be, dropping into the 20's, so a big difference, this is the

forecast you have to pay attention to looking at storm scan three i have seen potential for a couple sprinkles with these very light echoes up in the lehigh valley, not all falling just yet maybe a few snow flakes in the poconos but all of this precipitation is associated with a cold front, cold front draped out to our west that will be swinging on through as we head into the overnight hours, tonight, so we will start off with some lightening rain that rain transition go to snow after about midnight 1:00 a.m. we are looking at minor accumulations from a coat to go an inch is a possibility. on i-95 more than a coating an half inch. isolated morning slick spots are possible. more likely to see that inch in the poconos. future radar and temperatures we will show what you i'm talking about here by 11:00 o'clock at night kate bilo will be back talking about rain over spreading the region but temperatures to warm for snow on i-95. here we head in the two or 3:00 o'clock time frame and we will see that change over to
