and couch doug pederson held up the lombardi trophy for than one to sianni for fans made it out to the airport it was all just the beginning. >> then entire team of descended where fans were for a personal moment to thank the fans to help eagles make it all the way, trophy in hand players took a turn to enjoy the moment, look at lagarrette blount, that is great, chanting with the crowd taking pictures and taking in the victory our super bowl champions brought home from minneapolis. >> noticeably absent from the eagles welcome home this afternoon was quarterback nick foles, but, he had a good reason why he wasn't traveling back home with the team. you are looking ate. super bowl's most valuable player went to disney world center of attention during a parade at magic kingdom. he will come back here for philadelphia for thursday's victory parade. we will have a live report with more details about that and more upcoming festivities in just about 10 minutes. in the meantime fans could not be more excited now that the rest of the bird are home. >> "eyewitness news" reporter

alycia nieves was at the airport when team arrived and had a front row seat to the excitement. tell us more. >> reporter: ukee, front row seat that is not a lie, on the one point i literally had my face pressed up against the fence here as hundreds of philadelphia eagles fans just push into catch a glimpse of their birds returning home to this city. you know what i was than the mad about it, it was certainly okay. i'm still smiling about it in fact because it was such an amazing experience to see in person, exciting to see in person and i want to show you some of that right now. this moment, the fans, they showed up, as i said before, hundreds of them welcoming the philadelphia eagles home as super bowl champions. they stood out here in the cold for over two hours to see the team land, and the whole team cheering, certainly though, cheering the loudest when the team actually got off the plane. and to repay such a welcoming moment the eagles did what no

one was expecting but certainly everyone was hoping for they walk up to the fence. we're talking coach doug pederson all of the players, gm howie roseman the owner jeffery lurie they walk up to the crowd by the fence and in person, they hoisted up the lombardi trophy, showing the entire city in person. this was the moment here in philly the atlantic aviation and a special moment that will forever live with everybody, every eagles fans that lives here. >> just awesome, awesome. best feeling in the world. we have been waiting for this forever. >> i have been an eagles fan since i was five years old. i have been a season ticket holder for over 30 years. all i wanted to do was have one championship just one bring left this earth and it is a dream come true. it is a class organization. they came over, they shared the most beautiful moment with

them have been lined up around 11:00 this morning, hours before the eagles actually pulled in, to the lot here, you can see in this video, swoop, fanatic, frankly, shall all riled up as fans decked out in green and holding signs and balloons cheered on the team as they pulled into this complex. many were emotional as they described what this win means for them and what they chalk up the birds success too. >> they love each other. they are a brotherhood. they play together. there are no egos on this team they will be together for years. there is in the one selfish guy on the team and i love them. >> it is kind of hard in the to be nervous with the eagles breaking my heart every year but we pulled it out because we all we got, we all we need. >> reporter: players all then got into their individual cars and then left the facility, as carson wentz drove away fans were chanting mvp but before he drove away he left a special surprise for one child here and i will tell but that

11:00 a.m. at broad and pattison, heading north to the art museum and once again "eyewitness news" and the eagles, we aring there. >> indeed. we have been bringing you all eagles coverage but there is another big news story to tell but today dow jones takes a tumble. at the closing bell the dow jones was down 1175 points finishing at 24 how 3445 eras ing its gain for the year. 1175 is biggest ever single day point drop for the dow jones at one point during the trading session the dow jones was more than 1600 points. nasdaq composite and s and p 500, also finished, sharply lower. more to come. kate bilo joins us now, we had a beautiful day to welcome home eagles but there is a reason this parade isn't wednesday. >> there is a very good reason , that was being floated and then quickly unfloated, because the wednesday weather is in the looking so good around here. we will have some pretty messy

conditions to but thursday does look better. pretty messy make sure you have heavy coats ready for your parade plan. lets take a peak outside right now, sunset underway and beautiful one what a great day this has been. little cold, little blustery but sunnies shining on philadelphia as we welcome eagles home after that amazing victory last night and, sunset in plymouth meeting also looking pretty amazing out there this evening. no problems tonight, but that is going to change, as some pretty ugly weather head our way mid week. look at that reflection of the sun just amazing out there live neighborhood network shot at pleasant valley high school where it is 25 degrees. you can see sunset colors in the sky there it is cold but dry. you can see on storm scan three there is not a lot going on in the northeast but we have one system to keep an eye on for tomorrow. this is not the system i'm talking about mid week. that is still out over the rockies. this little system will come through and bring some stray snow showers or flurries tomorrow morning, and then to

the north and western suburbs and then cloud break for sunshine in the afternoon. it is wednesday that the next system, we have been talking about really moves in with rain, snow, ice, depending on where you are, we will talk about that just one moment. cloud increasing overnight as that system head our way, 24 degrees, pretty seasonal. tomorrow could start with flurries, north and west and increasing amounts of sun in the afternoon. our high a seasonal 42. here's what that looks like overnight cloud increase tomorrow morning we could see light flurries and snow showers through poconos that is all that remains of that system in the midwest, clears out, we will get sunshine in the afternoon. lets go into wednesday, wednesday will start with the warm front passage and it starts with pretty steady snow around 7:00 a.m. even some sleet, ice and rain across south jersey and delaware. wednesday morning commute looks messy. that lifts out pretty quickly it is still snow, sleet, freezing rain far north and west but raining by 9:00 a.m. and heavy rain will take over and continue, pretty much all day. so you cannot have a parade in these conditions. we are talking about heavy

"eyewitness news" reporter david spunt is in center city at scene of one of those out offhanded celebrations, david. >> reporter: at macy's behind me windows smashed out after the game. i spoke to the member of the philadelphia law enforcement who called vandals knuckle heads and he said there are only three arrests at this point but he expects to see more arrests, later this week. after the eagles became super bowl champs, a group of fans celebrated by climbing on to the awning of the ritz carlton it collapsed, just second later sending people into a crowd egging them on below. >> it is beyond stupid. we are all adults. we need to act our age. you have to show these kid some respect and they will grow up watching this. >> reporter: no one was seriously injured but mala unfortunately didn't stop there. windows outside macy's,
