you are looking live at loge an square and in just a matter of hours millions of fans will crowd this area for moment some have been waiting for all their lives to see philadelphia eagles in today's parade of champions. last minute preparations are made at stage at art museum where some fans have been camp out for hours already, excitement is building for this historic day in the city of philadelphia. today is thursday february 8th , happy parade day i'm jim donovan. i'm rahel solomon. there is early and then is there that. is here. >> i say gateway but i don't want to her t o up. this one i want to slow down. so great to see you, chelsea. we necessity there will be red closures put in place. they have started all week.

philadelphia. >> that is where we will find "eyewitness news" reporter trang do live at broad and pattison, how the city is getting ready for the parade, good morning. >> reporter: i think i need to be over with jan because i heard food and coffee over there with those folks there. take a look at this scene here at the beginning of the parade , you can see that the barricades are set up along broad, i also want to show you diehard fans i have over here, this gentlemen, i will show you, he is in the median of broad and pattison. he has been here since i have been here at 3:00 a.m. there he is. he is a die hard fan. very long, cold day with more people then you can probably imagine. city is offering up safety and security tips ahead of the parade. here they are. they want to you dress warmly. i can attest to that. it is very cold. wear comfortable shoes, bring food, drink like those folks at the art museum. be patient. there will be many long lines, new for those with kids, the police commissioner urged to

>> cold day indeed but different store friday yesterday. dry conditions as we look live from center city. 29 degrees right now. wind out of the north at 14, so of course that is making it feel colder then what we are seeing being read on the thermometer. twenty-eight in wilmington. thirty-one millville. thirty-two wildwood. thirty-three in atlantic city. twenty's in allentown. chilly in the poconos right now in the mid teens but here's what it feels like when you factor in on top of it that wind. more like teens in allentown. one below in mount pocono. eighteen below in the city. we are actually going to be dealing with wind chills in the teens and 20's, pretty much most of the day even though we will see good amount of sunshine that breeze will kick in and make these temperatures that we will see, feel much colder then that. so if we are heading to the parade, make sure we dress for the teens and 20's. high pressure moving in control, that is why we will see good amount of sunshine but then moves off shore, potential for snow shower up north heading in to friday and

head out there early. you know that. we were looking at live shots of people standing outside certain transportation centers and, already at 4:45 a.m. it is looking, very, busy already so regional rails, inbound, only, in the a.m. and then outbound, only after the parade. if that is not it they we are looking at the pennsylvania co , new jersey transit all tickets sold out for patco, ac rail line ticket are completely sold out and then again only select stations are opened, inbound only at 6:00 a.m. before 6:00 a.m. it is inbound and outbound, rahel and jim, back over to you. reiterate what you said all 50,000 of those special regional rail passes septa was selling for the parade are gone. >> flew off shelves. septa says all ten-dollar tickets sold out yesterday afternoon in one hour after septa released an additional batch to select stations, septa, general manager, jeff k nuple explained the approach

to the special pass system. >> what we didn't want to do was what had happened like at 2008 phillies parade was a lot of people waited outside at stations on the regional rail and didn't make it in and missed the event. that is a definite bad outcome >> trips on the broad street and market frankford lines are free today, but expect, big crowds. if you were planning to take patco to the parade and you don't already have a ticket you are out of luck, they are sold out as well. patco will be running a modified schedule with trains stoping at four stations in new jersey, lindenwald, wood crest, ferry avenue and broadway in philadelphia, ninth, tenth, locust will be the only stops. still ahead on "eyewitness news" this morning today a vote is expected on a budge net washington but we will tell you why the agreement still faces opposition there both side in the house. this years gerber baby is making history how this 18 month-old is stealing hearts when "eyewitness news"

♪ >> all right, a lot of people coming out to the parade today to celebrate the eagles, if you are going out to the parade just bundle up because wind chills will be in the teens and 20's, pretty much all dayo day. we will take a look at current temperatures across the region because it certainly does feel rather chilly stepping outside this morning and right now we have temperatures that are checking in the teens and 20's across the region with some 30 's as well. those 30's you can find down the shore, atlantic city right around 33. thirty-one millville. twenty-nine in philadelphia, and 26 in allentown, about 14 degrees in the poconos but here's what it feels like when you factor in that wind we are dealing without of the north and west today. feels more like 18 in philadelphia, feels like 17 in wilmington, feels like 14 degrees in allentown. so a chilly start to the day indeed, and, throughout the morning, with temperatures, as you saw below 32 degrees we have some lingering wet spots

south philadelphia so if you are around that area might be a good idea but we know that is going to fill up very fast as well, jim, back to you. northeast fail helicopter company is taking eagles nation to new highs. >> employees at leonardo company near northeast airport spent part of the evening putting decals on a helicopter they plan to fly it during the parade today. employees say transformation from helicopter to philadelphia eagles was a no brainer. >> the company has so much passion for the eagles last week everybody had eagles gear on. we have over 500 employees here, would i say 80 percent are eagles fans. >> the company hopes to get a eagles player or team owner jeff lurie in the chopper. we will wait and see. still looking for a way to get to the parade we have good news. >> uber wants to get you to the celebration and at a discount we will tell you code to use and save some cash. police released a photo of the man who they say shattered window of the center cities
