if it wasn't for the wind stained g in the sunshine with the chilly temperatures it would have been okay, right? but today at least we don't deal with it as much. still going to be chilly out there. we take a look at the live neighborhood network camera, looking at boardwalk plaza in rehoboth. beautiful scene there. a dry scene. but later on this weekend, this is actually going to turn into a very wet scene. right around 32 degrees, there , right now. 24 degrees in philadelphia. 21 degrees in wilmington. we're 19 in millville. down the shore temperatures are in the 20's, up in the poconos, in the teens, right around 15 degrees. but notice, winds are calm in most areas. so we are not dealing with that brutal windchill that we had to deal with yesterday. so feeling at least a little bit better out there, i guess we could say. see increasing clouds throughout the day. temperatures remaining chilly but much calmer winds. not dealing with the windchill snow shower will be possible for areas farther north today. we will talk more about that in just a bit. but overall, 28 degrees by 9:00 a.m. thirty-four by noontime. thirty-nine for your high temperature today.

>> a sprawling mansion in los angeles destroyed in a raging inferno. the 5,000 square foot home in the exclusive bellaire neighborhood caught fire around 5:30 last night. more than 80 firefighters were thereon scene to put out the flames. the cause of the fire is now under investigation. meantime, chicago schools are closed today as the city prepares for major snowstorm. >> a winter storm warning went into effect last night calling for six to 12 inches of snow this weekend. officials say over 300 salt trucks hit the street last night, people were out stocking up on groceries, shovels, salt. officials are warning people not to understatement the storm. >> make no mistake about it,

the region, 24 degrees getting you started this morning in philadelphia, 21 in wilmington , 19 in millville. twenty-one down the shore in atlantic city, 20 in wildwood. good morning pottstown, 16 degrees, 16 in west chester , 24 degrees in media. getting your day start in the palmyra, right around 22 degrees, and we have 19 degrees currently in the cherry hill area. so, throughout the day, you'll notice the clouds really building on in, thickening up as well, 34 degrees by noontime. by 3:00 we make it to around 39. but again, much less wind, compared to what we dealt with yesterday. high temperatures, generally you can expect them 30's, but 40 degrees in dover, not too bad there. thirty-one allentown, looking at 29 degrees for that high temp in the poconos. so high pressure will be moving off shore. as we head into the day today. and also, into tonight. so, let's cover a little bit about what we can expect this weekend. we will see frontal boundery, couple of areas of lou pressure traveling along that, start to see the chance for

headed to the second best n team and frank write is a candidate for the colt vacant head coaching job. now it is onto other sports in town. and last night the flyers hope to celebrate a few hours after their neighbors. flyers and canadiens in south philly last night, second peer on the power play, claude giroux with the snapshot. the captain makes it happen with his 16th of the season. flyers up by one, later, tied at two. and the flyers offense comes alive. giroux to voracek, and the floors are back in front to stay. a little more than a minute later, shane with the shot. rebound. scores. the flyers win their second in a row five to three. they lead the wilds card race in the eastern conference. it is the flyers and coyotes tomorrow night. now, that the super bowl is in the books, it is time to open a new chapter of phillies baseball. the phillies will load up the equipment truck this morning, and head for sunny beautiful
