6:45 am
the rise to near 60 degrees, and then we will deal with rain, heavy at times. so, looking at storm scan three, notice steady rain across the entire region, well , some areas are just dealing with the light stuff, we will look down to the south and east over portions of maryland that is moving right along i-95 corridor starting to see those pockets of heavier rain in new castle county, just north of the middletown area, and yeah it is a mess out there. as far as rainfall amounts some locations pick up nearly 2 inches of rain just since yesterday, dover, just under 2 n millville, new jersey. in atlantic city just over an inch and a half, just under a inch in wilmington and we are at three-quarters of an inch in philadelphia and counting, we will see more rain throughout the day-to-day. so that is why a flood watch has been issued and that is in effect all the way through midnight tonight but do i think the bulk of the rain will end up a little sooner
6:46 am
then that. you can see it includes all of these areas highlighted in green, that is pretty much the entire region we forecast for with the exclusion of the poconos they are not included in this. flood advisory has been chiseled back for a couple counties including atlantic county, cape may county but these areas could experience minor flooding hooks lighted in those locations in the green and that is because more rain is, of course, on the way through morning and really the rest of the afternoon. so let's track it on future weather, notice these heavier downpours right along the i-95 corridor from wilmington into trenton and up toward new york city, this is at 10:00 o'clock fast forward a little bit more just past lunchtime still some pockets of heavier downpours right around philadelphia, generally starting to see a trend where things lighten up a little bit, we will still deal with that steady rain as we head in the two or 3:00 o'clock hour but by six or 7:00 this evening we are starting to see things taper off a little bit. another issue is the fog, here's a look at boardwalk
6:47 am
plaza in rehoboth we have seen an improvement since about an hour or so ago. folks dealing with that dense fog in some locations and dense fog advisory remains in effect through 7:00 so just a little bit longer on that and we will see this extended for some. visibility very poor even right in philadelphia just around a mile and a half. you can still drive-in that but it is certainly a a lot harder. forty-nine in philadelphia. forty-nine in wilmington. it its 51 degrees in millville we have milder air that is heading our way throughout the day-to-day, so rain heavier at times by 9:00 o'clock, 49 degrees, 55 as we head in the 12:00 o'clock hour and then look at what happens by 3:00 o'clock, 59 degrees, so some areas nearing that 60- degree mark and that is not going to be the only thing this week, take a look at thursday, high temperature of 60 degrees work a rain chance, jan? >> all right, chelsea, thank you. 6:47. time to check the roads. lets get to matthew workmister in the cbs-3 traffic center,
