right now. but yes, the flooding, when you had one to three almost 4 inches every rain falling in the span of a day and a half leer really led to a problem. not the prettiest shot but what gloomy. overlooking center city at least you can see center city, had very, very minor and isolated fog issues. but the wind starting to pick up. i i don't anticipate too big after problem for you for the rest of the day or let alone the morning, this is a day of transition, though, so almost like depending on the time of day that you're out, really going to dictate how you need to be dressing for the day. still quite balmy outside. see that reflected in the temperatures but see how the wet weather is starting to make its exit. now moving off to the south and east. eventually it will sweep out to sea. so still going to have residual rain showers anywhere from light to moderate in intensity, coming through in pocket and clouds otherwise, but look at the sharp cut off. go from low 50's along i95, the color contour shift, so the chill beginning to settle in. that means, temperatures only

going to continue to decline. as the day goes on. now, skies do begin to gradually clear out. afternoon temperatures stunning in the lower 40's. guys, we hit 61 at 1:00 a.m. so quite the turn around. it was so balmy earlier in the day, here, meisha, but already seeing the temperature drop off pretty quickly. >> i was wondering if i was just like feeling things weirds or watch i walk out the door, yes, walk out the door so early this morning around 3:00 a.m. it felt so warm. so all right, looks like it will stick around not too much longer. out on the roadways this morning, we do have a lot going on. so we've had some accidents, some disable vehicles, some flooding just whole host of stuff. right now actively we have accident here, schuylkill eastbound, before the blue route, and as you come around the bend still very dark out there. just heads up. pulled off to the far right. you can see how many headlights out there are already out there. as we just now crack into the 6:00 hour. that let us know it is going to be a busy morning commute. disable vehicle, we had it here, 22 north at route 100. that looks to just be moved

out of the way. burlington bristol bridge is up, hard to see kind of hazy shot here. but the burlington bristol bridge is up right now, if you were just headed out the door. and an accident, in new jersey , now, this involving a vehicle fire, new jersey southbound, before new jersey turnpike rather southbound before route 33, two inner lanes there, jim, jan, back to you. >> meisha, new this morning, manhunt underway for the suspect who critically injured a man in kensington earlier this morning. police say the 21 year old victim stabbed in the neck just before 2:00 this morning, along the 3100 block every kensington avenue. so far, investigators have no motive for the violence. >> meanwhile, philadelphia police are looking for a gunman who opened fire on three people, in broad daylight. >> one man dead, two other wounded, and some neighbors are frightened. "eyewitness news" reporter chantee lans live at police headquarters with the latest, chantee? >> well, jan, jim, 24 year old and 21 year old are recovering this morning after being shot.

meanwhile 23 year old has died from his injuries and this morning philly police hoping to find his killer. >> driver side door was shot out. and there was somebody in the vehicle. >> twenty-three year old man killed, two other hurt at a shooting in southwest philadelphia in broad daylight police surrounded the scene near south 75th street and elmwood avenue in the eastwick section of the city. the 23 year old plan was found lying on the ground, he was shot in his neck, torso, and leg. he was returned to and pronounced dead at penn presbyterian medical center. another man found shot on the scene was treated and released from the same hospital. police say third man, 21 year old, showed up to the same hospital. around the same time. with gunshot shots to his leg. >> usually don't have this kind of thing right in this area here. >> the shooting leaves neighbors concerned. >> i'm scared. i have got children. i'm scared. >> and investigators say, that

some flooding there we got a lot of rain. roadway ponding caused problems for drivers, all along philadelphia's lincoln drive, especially near forbidden drive. drivers had to maneuver through a similar problem, in flourtown montgomery county. and near wissahickon creek neighbors checked water levels >> 6:13 now. >> headed out, katie, drying out little bit now? >> yes, at least we have. that will so often flooding, such a delay reaction that needs to take place, allow time for the flood watt tears recede. note the flood warnings, very localized concern, but this goes until 1:00 p.m. tomorrow. so, we're allowing 24 hour plus window here for the rancocas creek, specifically, to recede here. now that's actually going to be cresting this morning it, should be below flood stage by this afternoon. still needs that time to completely recede two levels that are little safe, safer to travel through. meantime, we had some very, very mild air in place. not the perfect day to be out in short and t-shirt, but

georgetown we hit 71 degrees, which interestingly, ties the old record though back in 2009 but regardless, very, very mild air. even still in place right now. that is starting to go away, as the skies start to clear out. now this very thin just line of snow showers, working it way east, see how it is starting to fizzle, likely to still push through central pa should die out. by the time it reaches us. although the colder air certainly coming in the wake of all of this, then we've got high pressure on our side for day or so before the next system gets underway. the ups and downs just keep going. we hit 61 at 1:00 a.m. not getting anywhere close it that the rest of the dayment temperature continue to decline, leveling off in fact to the lower four's come later today. then overnight into tomorrow bottoming out to the 20's, so quite the difference from one day to the next here. tomorrow, looking a lot more, though, like mid february should. for valentine day might be late day shower specially that night into thursday. but look at the temperatures swing all over again, in the

60s by that point, meisha. >> sounds good. katie, thank you, if we didn't like it we would have to take from mother nature. looking outside looking at accident on the schuylkill eastbound before blue route. so as you kind of swing around this bend here, kind of sneaking up on you. still very dark out there. pull off to the far right. you are traveling little bit less than posted speeds here now, so again, schuylkill eastbound, before the blue route, that's where we have an accident, but the westbound side isn't looking that much better. but it will cause gaper delay for you as women. certainly give yourselves extra time there. fifty-nine south at betsy ross take a look how busy this this is, push in the southbound direction toward center city. most definitely have to give yourselves extra time here. no longer traveling at posted speeds, and you can see, how many of those brake lights are starting to go off there as well. burlington bristol bridge is up. hopefully coming back down now sometime shortly. and an accident, in new jersey , this one involving a vehicle fire. so, new jersey turnpike southbound, before route 33, two inner lanes still block,

so this is another area where you're certainly going to want to give yourselves extra time. jim, jan, back to you. >> russian investigators recovered two black boxes from the wreckage every downed airliner near moscow. the plane crashed yesterday morning, shortly after take off, killing all 71 people on boards. fragments of the plane were scattered across the snowy field. investigators say the crew did not report any problems before the crash. russia's transportation ministry is looking into several possible costs, including bad weather, and human error. >> back here in the u.s., one of the nation's greatest landmarks officials are trying to figure out what caused a helicopter to crash and burn in the grand canyon. the fiery crash left three people dead, four others seriously hurt, and here is news correspondent jen van and the. >> a mangled wreck, devastating crash taking three lives, injuring four other. the ntsb and faa will peace together what happened.

they'll talk with all of the witness that is were in the area, anybody that saw the helicopter fly over did -- >> bruce, chopper pilot, says they'll also look into the records of the pilot, minute never, also cents review what the weather was like, there was high winds report in the that area. investigators will also have video and flight data, from the actual flight itself. the helicopter went down shortly before 5:30 saturday evening, some on the ground witnessed the crash describing it in horrifying detail. >> i saw these two ladies run out of t and then explosion. one of the survivors all bloody, and, you know, her clothes probably were burned off. she was just there in her underwear. the ladies were screaming, it was just horrible. obviously just two ladies there, died from impact, or

burned to death. but, you know, obviously didn't make it out. because that's all the lady was yelling, jason, jason, jason. >> the rescue operation took hours, the rubbing terrain and windy conditions hampered those effort, but rescue crews managed to get to the crash helping the injured as best they could. >> we were notified of the crash at 5:40, our first responders were on the scene within the first 30 minute. and we a tribute that quick response to what helped save lives. >> eventually all survivors were taken out of the canyon early sunday morning. that was jeff van zandt reporting. helicopter company had been operating out of the grand canyon since 1965. the company's last fatal crash was back in 2001. they're cooperating with the investigation and even helped with the rescue operation. >> insurance giant aetna is under scrutiny after a stunning admission by a former medical director. california's insurance commissioner has launched an investigation after a former

medical director admitted under oath he never looked at patient's records when deciding whether to approve or deny care. aetna is the nation's third largest insurance provider with more than 23 million customers. >> if a health insurer is making decisions to deny coverage, without a physician ever actually reviewing medical records, that is of significant concern to me as insurance commissioner in california and potentially a violation of law. >> now, aetna says, it is looking forward to explaining it medical review process to the commissioner. >> meantime, one of the largest suppliers of oxycontin will no longer market the drugs to doctors. purdue pharmaceuticals says it will still sell the painkiller but it representatives will focus on promoting non-opioid drugs. decision comes as the us struggles with the opioid epidemic, whisk called the worse public health crisis in american history. the cdc says one in four people who received opioid

making it exit in the same direction. so we still had a little bit of wet weather. if you were with us, i had my crazy lion king hood on. because there was little rain that rolled through the skydeck. that is already dropped off though thankfully. skies are will only clear as the day goes cents on, northwest to southeast. look at the stark contrast along i95 still low 50's, mid 50's, down through south jersey. heck of a lot colder in a place like mount pocono. so that's typical obviously, but talking nearly 20 degrees difference from the city up to the mountains right now. so throughout the rest of the day, expect that these showers are going to drop off and make their exit. but the heaviest is currently happening across the southern most counties. there are still flooding issues, thankfully that shouldn't be too exacerbated by what's left on the radar at this point. but the rain will again continue to wrap up as the morning and afternoon wear on for our area. we are back to sunshine later in the day. then much cooler conditions by tomorrow. meisha? >> all right, katie, thank you
