investigators are looking into what caused a deadly helicopter crash, in the grand canyon. the chopper went down on saturday, and saturday night, killing three british tourists and sending four other people to the hospital. it took eight hours to air lift survivors due to strong wins and rugged terrain. this was fourth fatal accident for the company operating the helicopter. in russia a candle light vigil was held outside moscow 's cathedral for 71 people killed in the plane crash on sunday. russian emergency workers spent the day searching through debris and for victims remains in the snowy fields. officials say they have recover both flight recorders from the plane which went down shortly after taking off from moscow, the causes still unknown. a huge explosion is caught on camera on a highway in northern china, that truck on the right was filled with liquid natural gas and investigators say a leak probably spark the explosion. two people inside of the truck are being treated for burns, three other people nearby also caught fire but people inside

rain we had over the weekend, 60's felt good. we started off very early today at 61 degrees. early this morning around 2:00 h temperature in philadelphia normal high temperature at 43 but temperatures cooled on the back side of the cold front and now we are in the 40's but storm scan three showing us last of the moisture finally starting to cruise off shore otherwise quiet conditions with high pressure regaining control across the area. i know it was a soaker of the weekend on sunday but hey at lee it wasn't snowfall, snow so far this season in philadelphia 13.4 inches so far this month. we have had .2 of an inch of snowfall. february is our most snowy month. you may not want to hear. that we have had quite a few days with just a trace of snow , 17 days, many of those just a trace couple flakes flying so that registers as a trace, not measurable but 17 that is quite a few days with seeing a couple flakes but yeah who wants to talk about snowflakes. lets talk about spring, spring

training begins for phillies in florida in just two days, daylight savings time begins in 27 days, and spring officially begins, the vernal equinox in 36 days, of course, meteorological spring begins sooner then that on march 1st and 51 days until our average high temperature in philadelphia, rises up to 60 degrees. we have some rain that will be returning as we push towards mid week another area of low pressure cruising in. dry, seasonal tomorrow still dry into valentines day high temperatures climbing in the 50's and then backup in the 60 's running more than 20 degrees above average. we will need umbrellas once again with scattered showers in the forecast as we look ahead toward thursday but overnight tonight mostly clear , colder but right around average 26 degrees for our day tomorrow pretty nice, mostly sunny seasonal 41. winds 5 miles an hour. not too much wind chill component and high temperatures running around average all across the area. we will top at 39 in allentown lower 30's in the poconos.
