out there. sometimes these disable vehicles pulled off to the shoulder kind of sneak up on you specially coming around the ben. ninety-five south at cottman looking, there come around the ben, lots of light going off there. we do have accident in conshohocken, been out there all morning long, and that's now just been cleared. this accident did have some injuries with it, as well. in the world of mass transit, the west trenton, shut busing this weekend between west trenton and wood born, plus president's day monday running some holiday schedules here, busses and trolleys on the river line. more on this coming up in a little bit. back to you. >> in the news this morning, judge has denied bail for the teenager accused of opening fire inside of a florida high school killing 17 people. >> say suspect bought assault weapon legally at florida gunshot. resident are still trying to come to grips with this tragedy. >> emotions were raw at the pine trail in park-land, massive vigil held overnight for the victims tips in the

high school massacre. >> at one point, the crowd chanted in unicent, no more guns. >> this makes no sense. it is impossible. my girl, my 14 year old baby. >> earlier in the day the suspect 19 year old nicholas cruz was cents brought handcuffed into court. >> you are charged with 17 counts of premeditated murder. >> cruz was ordered held without bonds. a broward county sheriff offers reports that he confessed to details of the shooting. >> cruz's attorney say their client had mounting problems, and fell through the cracks. >> he is a broken human being. he is a broken child. >> he is on suicide watch. the child is deeply troubled. and he has endured significant trauma that stems from the loss of his mother. >> as more details emerge on how the attack unfolded, there are signs the loss of life as bad as it was could have been worse. a state senator says authority

told him it appeared cruz tried to fire out of the school's third floor windows at student as they were fleeing. thankfully though the windows made of safety glass did not shatter. laura, cbs-3, "eyewitness news ". >> well, a pennsylvania native is one of the victims of the florida shooting. chris was athletic director at stillman douglas high school. originally from easton, he was a 1986 graduate of pleasant valley high school in monroe county. friends and teachers recall him as kinds, and down to earth person. >> he was a real type of kid. all right? what do i mean by that? he was real? there wasn't anything fake about him. you respected him for the way he was, the way he interacted when fact you will at any at this and staff. >> i was new to the school. he was one of the first people to come to up me, introduce himself, made me feel like part of the team. >> hixon was 49 years old. married and the father of two children. >> school football coach killed in the shooting being remembered as selfless man.

coach aaron lost his life-like ly protecting others. one student recalls he ran down the hallway jumping in immediately to help, when he bravely put himself between the bullets and the student he was trying to save. >> was that kind of person. so it is like it makes sense that he would do that. i wish he could have made it through. but i'm not surprised because that's who he is. >> coach was married with a young daughter. the football team announced on twitter that he had been selflessly shielding student from the shooter adding he died a hero. >> less than two months into 2018. at least eight school shootings have been reported in the united state. john loyer ends reports the topic every gun control has returned but will it lead to anything? president trump offering condolence toss those who lost loved ones in the shooting rampage. >> my fellow americans, today i speak to a nation in grief.

>> you guys, like are the adults. you need to take comings. and play a role. >> work together. get over your political tis, get something done. >> john loyer ends, cbs-3 " eyewitness news." >> investigating a crash that killed a little girl in camden chop per three over the scene on north fifth and state street just before 4:30 p.m. yesterday afternoon. they say 84 year old man lost control of his suv, jumped the curb and hit the eight year old while riding her bike. the man was also struck, and he's in stable condition. police say the community is devastated. >> unfortunately, you have these incidents that happen. the loss of any life, of course, is a poinent one, the loss to a community, tune have a child lose his life at such a young age makes you think the loss of a promise, future. >> and the driver of the suv is still in the hospital with unspecified injuries. police are hoping neighborhood security cameras can lead them to suspect in a shoot that sent three teenagers to the

blossoms and turns into a storm system that's expected to bring in come snow come tomorrow night. looking at different locations , don't expect any snow at the shore. just rain event for you in the city. this is in line with our expectation about two, 4 inches of snowfall. so about 3.3 according to this model. up to five plus inches in the lehigh valley, at least portions of it, up in the poconos sitting in the three to 6-inch zone. so the bulk of the snow this time is going to go to the north and western counties, that is where you have winter storm watch going into effect come 7:00 p.m. tomorrow. here in philly again, expecting about two, 4 inches of slushy snow. most saturday night, then gone , very early on sunday morning. for now, the temperature pretty level, just going to see rain showers, that goes for everyone, drop down to 30, sets the stage for that next storm to come along and dump that quick burst every snow, but then we rebounds quickly so anything that does manage to stick and accumulate

from one of those cars, i'll tell the police where to look >> me, better lock it up. oh, you guys, so much fun. so speaking of cars, speaking of the roadways, we know that one place we cannot go drag racing is our highways and interstates, right? specially when it is so wet out there. so if you go out the door this morning, guys, telling you right now, it is going to be very, very slow in certain areas. so, the schuylkill at montgomery drive, what we are looking at but the bumper to bumper conditions, there we can expect that trying to make our way toward center city. so just heads up on that. fifty-nine south at betsy ross , same story here, pushing in the southbound direction, lots and lots of headlight out there, very, very wet. so give yourselves extra time now, and disable vehicle that is lone ranger here, pulled off to the far right shoulder, vine eastbound past ben franklin park way. got his flashers on, still dark out there, still very wet see the cars whipping around, putting on their brakes. so heads up walking out the door headed out to this area that disable still there, and i hope it doesn't pose any

we take you down into new jersey also raining, in medford, and a very mild 58 degrees to kick start the morning there. here is a look at the rain coming in. still big streak of it working it way along the ohio river valley going to have to roll through our area before we are in clear. look at this very innocent looking little batch of showers. back toward el paso, that is what eventually blossoms into the next big thing for us. it will zip northeast. make it arrival here tomorrow night. by which point we will have a lot of cold air coming along to meet it. that is why we end up with some snow. now i don't expect this snow will have the opportunity to stick around very long, probably not more than a day, even where you have the highest totals, because the temperature rises so quickly, but yes, saturday night, three to 6 inches of snow. slushy snow but snow nonetheless total up to half foot. two to four along i59, slushy snow, again all saturday night getting underway as early as just after the sun goes down. but it all should be out of here in time for daybreak sunday. so it is a quick hitter but
