deck to tell us why we really don't need all of this rain, chelsea. >> what a difference a day makes, right. feels like a completely different season out here right now. if you feel like month of february has been on the soggy side, well, you are right, let me take to you this graphic and show you a look at why. fifteen of the 22 days so far this month have seen a trace or more of either rain, or snow and even some days a mixture of both as we have seen. you know what, it is all starting to add up. so looking at the month so far , we have seen all ready, over 5 inches of precipitation , and that is, believe it or not, nearly 3 inches above average for this time of the year and you know what, we have even more rain that is going to be heading our way, all the way through the weekend. so the big question is, how long does the rain stick around so far? let's send it inside to meteorologist kate bilo for the details, kate. >> thanks, chelsea it is interesting as chelsea said we have been above average

precipitation wise but we are well below, average snowfall rise in february and that tells the story. most of our precipitation has been in the form of rain, all except for the snow we had last saturday. that counts and a few other mixed events as well. storm scan three showing the rain for today starting to move out. we have a line of showers, steadier downpours in southern new castle county, salem, cumberland counties in new jersey as well. we are seeing this clear. unfortunately this is not the end of it. we have a few light showers around the city. you saw chelsea outside. we may still need it this evening. temperatures right now is cold , 40 degrees in philadelphia, seasonably cold. that is not, out of the normal for february, but 38 in allentown, and notice, mount pocono, 32. any rain that comes through there could lead to some ice, and freezing conditions, on the roads, we will talk about that in just a moment. but temperatures certainly have dropped, since yesterday, yesterday, at 5:00 p.m. it was 74 degrees, today at 5:00 p.m. , 40 degrees.

34 degrees, difference, here in philadelphia, and definitely feeling like we went from summer, right on back to winter but at least it is not snowing. that would be just an additional slap in the face if the snow came through after 78-. take a look at your future weather. rain moving out tonight. we will get a break in the action overnight tonight and then we will start tomorrow morning with another round of showers. here's 8a a.m., notice pink, up in the poconos there could somebody icing, as temperatures will be very close to freezing, so your morning commute looks soggy, a break in the action and then more rain just in time nor the friday evening commute, which tends to be a little bit earlier. people like to leave early friday, so, looking a little bit soggy at 4:00 p.m. tomorrow. saturday starts with cloud, light showers in the afternoon but heaviest rain of this stretch looks to be saturday night into sunday morning when the actual storm comes through and you can see sunday morning we're getting a soaking here at 7:00 a.m. may clear things out or dry things out by sunday afternoon but a very soggy stretch, stalled boundary producing a

conveyor belt of rain, very damp, very dreary, it is cold today, cold tomorrow, temperatures actually start to rise over the weekend. that is the only difference, not looking a whole lot better outside but definitely feeling better with temperatures above average. heavy downpours are possible, again, heaviest rain looks to be overnight saturday night into sunday morning and the highest totals will be north and west of fail where cumulatively as much as 3 inches, could fall over the next several days. so overnight, if you are out and about, showers around for the next couple of hours, and then just mainly cloudy there will be mist, drizzle, not a beautiful clear night or anything like that but shouldn't be too rainy overnight. thirty-six is our overnight low. taking new to our friday, showers around at anytime, it looks like right now, one batch comes through during the morning commute and a second batch for the afternoon commute, and then it is seasonably chilly, 47, pretty much on target for this time of the year, it is still february after all, despite the fact that it hasn't really been feeling like it. but heavier rain comes through over the weekend and part of that is because we are pulling
