forecast, u.s. is bracing for severe weather from coast to coast, katie's timing out when it hits our area and who will get rain and who will get some snow. >> it is thursday march 1st good morning i'm jim donovan. i'm rahel solomon. katie and meisha are keeping an eye on things this morning this march 1st. >> good morning. now i can echo that sentiment. looking outside right now jumping out there on the schuylkill it is so busy because of an accident that has all lanes blocked and backups are as far as the eye can see. >> that is not good. we thought this would be quiet commute too, so eventually the weather is the main issue this evening, that leads to the slow downs but yes, sit tight for that report but for now at least things are quiet, across the board. we are at 42 at whitefield elementary school 1lone car driving down a still dry roadway and it will stay that way through lunchtime but cloud are that sign of things to come starting to bilo in and advance and eventually the rain will do the same so that

two school districts are in south jersey are closed both in gloucester county. they are delsea area regional school district and franklin township school district. sources say that a threatening e-mail was sent to a staff member which prompted the closures. we will have much more information as it becomes available. we have more breaking news now jim, huge flames shoot through a house in delanco township burlington county this fire sent two people to the hospital. >> "eyewitness news" reporter trang do live at the scene. trang do you just spoke with fire officials. what are they saying. >> reporter: that is right, delanco's fire chief tells me thinks an active fire fight and you can see that when you are on the scene here smoke continues to pour out of this building. you can see fire fighters have dual attacking on here from both side, they have hoses on this home that continues to smoke and burn and as you can see that this house here on

the left side is in danger of the collapse and it is buckling, but look at this video of the heavy fire coming from the home a few hours ago, this call came out around 2:30 on the 600 block of hickory street in delanco. fire fighters found flames through the roof of one of the homes, fire quickly spread to the twin next door. neighbors tell us that the fire moved extremely pass engulfing home in minutes. every within got out but two people did go to the hospital to get check out. dan co fire chief todd johnson says construction of the turn of the century home is really helping to fuel this fire. >> i know it seems like it would go out and engulf again so i don't know if something kept going and keeping it going but i have never seen it that high. they had fire fighters on the, neighbors that is connect to them actually busting windows out to get smoke and as soon as they turned around that fire came out the front window and i was scared for fire

severe weather continues to ravage parts of the country >> heavy rain pounded central, southern states in the pennsylvania few days and now people in the west coast are bracing for flooding and more mud slide. here's john lawrence. >> reporter: severe storms produced devastating flood in lieuville kentucky, residents check on their businesses the only way that they can. by boat. >> we are in the center of harris creek right now and it is, i guess it business 15 feet high, where it normally is. >> reporter: states of emergency have been declared in parts of the indian, missouri and ohio and flash flood warnings for numerous states through thursday, including louisiana, oklahoma, texas and arkansas. over in kalamazoo, michigan, major damage. >> this is my bathroom. oh, my god. oh, my god.
