yes, we are retiring, but we will never forget the good times we've had here with you over the last 30 years. now, i know there's been a rumor that we are selling the restaurant, but i am here tonight to assure you that the mendoza tradition will continue. so here's to the next 30 years of the casa mendoza restaurant. may they be as joyful as the first 30 years. to all of you, god bless, salud, dinero y amor! all: salud! nancy will take me back to the house. i'll pick up some clothes, and then we'll head to the airport. i'll catch the next flight to boston. i remember when i get first news about my father. he was sick in hospital, and i was so nervous, and my hands are shaking. i just rushed to the hospital. and it just... ambulance in my head all the time, all night long. it must be a long time ago for me to get bad news, but when i was away in school-- and most of my life i was away in school-- i got the news that my father passed away, and when i heard about it, it just make me numb. the lessons of life are the ones that make people endure and feel good and discover that they can do it. and when you reflect and look back at those experiences, you realize that you can do many things. i would really react badly to something like that.
