the journalists were kidnapped and killed saturday after interviewing a local toric reader. was apparently a document with a list of phone numbers near the bodies of the victims, and the list led them to three individuals known to french authorities on the ground in northern mali, was the one of them the member of al qaeda. suspects have been questioned several times since may without being arrested. in a further twist, it appears they came forward and presented themselves to french military forces earlier in the year. like many rebel fighters in officiallyli they chose reconciliation following a french military campaign to oust islamic militants. in supposedly reformed jihadist were living in a camp. armed with copies of their mugshots and tapes of the interviews, investigators now have to apprehend the suspects
