briefing on the disappearance of that flight 370. there has been a potential breakthrough in the search for the missing plane. australia says now that it has spotted two objects in the south indian ocean, a very remote part of the world. two objects, one of which measures about 24 meters or 79 feet long. now a search process is underway to try and find those objects, to confirm if they are indeed parts of the wreckage of this missing flight. to give us a bit more on that search that is on now at the moment, let's bring in our alex perry in australia. alex, tell us a bit more about how these objects were spotted in the search that is now underway to try and locate them. >> the australian maritime safety authority says this is the best leave they have any search for this missing plane. together with personnel from new zealand and the united states, authoritiesy -- the

have been scouring waters around australia for signs of debris. they are not sure whether these pieces are indeed part of the plane, but images of the parts were picked up by satellite imagery earlier today. since then, aircraft has been set to search the area, which is about 2500 kilometers southwest of perth. we are looking at two white objects. one is 24 meters long, one is five meters long. this is certainly generating a lot of interest and hope among residents and the international media. it is a furry promising lead --this ongoing story mystery. twice these pictures were taken four days ago on march 16. given the fact that it has been supportive, one of the remotest parts of the globe, 2500 kilometers southwest of perth, how difficult is it going to be to try to find these pieces? is a going to be like looking for a needle in the haystack?
