more on the new environment minister, coming up. ukraine.t's start in the prosecutor general says the death of someone hundred protesters during the maidan under then kiev were direct leadership of ousted viktornt viktor -- yanukovych. the charges were made during a news conference by the prosecutor general and the head of the interior ministry and state security. they are planing the shooting deaths of more than 100 on riot police. yanukovych himself fled the day after the worst of those killings by sniper fire on february 20. he was later ousted by parliament. for more on this development, let's bring in gulliver cragg. how are they justifying these allegations against ousted president viktor yanukovych? >> it was mainly the head of the secret service's who made -- secret service who mated most

clear that viktor yanukovych, in his view, was directing the whole operation, but the main reason he thought that was because viktor yanukovych was supposedly directing that whichrrorist operation, he himself had declared in conjunction with his ministers. in terms of concrete evidence of contact between people and the government and the special forces unit and the riot police, who do stand accused of carrying out the killing -- in terms of direct contact, it is much more with the then interior minister that the investigators say they have evidence. interestingly, in this press conference, although they did give some details about the killings that went on on the 20th of february, where all these people were shot by snipers, they seemed very keen to talk more about the interior minister's links with the gangs of thugs and the people who carried out kidnappings earlier inin the protest movement,

late january and earlier on in february. they seemed to have a lot more concrete evidence about the interior minister, by extension, the then ukrainian government's involvement in all of that that they were willing to talk about, rather than giving absolute, clear details about what happened on the 18th and 20th of february come when the largest number of people were killed. for that.so much now to that deadly shooting at the fort hood military base in texas. lopezpecialist ivan opened fire, killing three people and wounding 16 more before turning the gun on himself. the army says the man, who served in iraq three years ago, suffered from depression and was being assessed for posttraumatic stress disorder. the shooting comes less than five years after 13 others were shot dead by another soldier at fort hood.

scarce, illness is rife. lebanon isnd for dramatically underfunded. only 12% to 13% of its appeal has been met. they have had to cut aid to refugees in the last few months by about 25%. there are some families that are not receiving aid at all. they are the most vulnerable. we had a case last week of self immolation of a woman who said she had been cut off from food aid. she tried to burn herself in front of her four children, a desperate things have become. minister,kish prime recep tayyip erdogan, has been told to turn twitter back on. certain links were highlighting allegations of corruption against the prime minister's inner circle. turkey's constitutional court said his move to root out twitter violates freedom of
