he suffered a serious head injury when he was hit by falling rock. he was more than a kilometer down. doctors who had examined him said that he could be moved. those doctors and other helpers needed 12 hours just to reach him. it was five days after the accident that the actual rescue could began. they carried him tied to a stretcher through narrow twisting dark tunnels. a series of makeshift stations were set up along the way. they reached a new one each day. >> it was a huge job, but the professional and he of all of our colleagues made it possible. we had a total of 200 to rescuers in the cave. they really work hard down there. it was a great achievement.
