male, meaning only males produce the peculiar sound. a leaked theory points to the tup in the gharial's upper jaw t. tube carries inhailed air to the lungs. it is believed the tube in male crocodiles has wide section in the middle where air is compressed to help produce the noise. but what's the sound for? the experts tell us they're not sure because it's rarely observed in the wild. perhaps our cameras can help shed some light on this mystery? we went on the river bank one week passes. we hear the sound and a crocodile surface. this is the first time the reptile is being filmed making the sound in the wild.

have been following this system. it was a major hurricane for a period of time. now it is weakening quite a bit as it continues to move towards north. but it is making its impact known in part of mexico because of the rainfall. here's some pictures that came out over the weekend. can you see here that some of the tires of this car recovered in the water because of the heavy rainfall. we are expecting a bit of rain as you progress throughout the next 24 hours or so for the southern portions of the baja california peninsula. it is weakening quite quickly. so by the time we go later on into late monday into early tuesday, we're looking at a depression. it will continue to thizle out. but it will be bringing that rainfall with it. so definitely need to keep that in mind as we go throughout the next couple of days. we have even a bicker story to talk about. that's the storm that's taking place in the central portion of the united states. we have a cold front that's draped all the way down into
