>> a lot of it is just going on to the black market. there is a thriving black market for oil in the area, for a variety of reasons. a lot of times the end buyers do not know it is the islamic state they're getting it from. one thing the coalition has started doing which it was not before is bombing the islamic state tankers, the trucks taking the oil out to market, which is something that will serve have an economic impact on the organization. are the other sources of money for this organization? >> it's believed the biggest source of revenue is taxed evasion or extortion of their own population. they are known to make money from the antiquities market, taking antiquities they were able to overrun in syria and selling them to buyers in europe and north america. it's a shadowy market that has

allowed them to do this. there are other sources of revenue as well. for example, taxing trucks that come through the territory it controls. -- according to regional news sources, iraq has cut out payment to bureaucrats and altered the method of group'sto minimize the ability to extort money. >> what can the international community do to stop that flow of revenue? >> there are a few things. the biggest one is what is being done right now, which is targeting the oil that is going out to market. the second thing is, looking into the activities market, determining where regulatory gaps exist and seeing what can be done to make it more transparent to reduce their ability to prosper by selling antiquities to the open market. it is important to put a squeeze on the group.
