joining us like there from new york. the u.s. democratic system is unlike any other in the world. it's not the popular growth that wins. rather, each candidate must win 435 electoral college votes. here is a closer look at how that system work. elect theirrs don't president directly. instead, they choose representatives call electors who have the final say on who makes it to the white house. from each state varies, depending on population. the most with 55, and alaska, just three. in all but two states, the candidate who wins all the states electors, maine and nebraska, but there are exceptions.
