the united states announced on wednesday it would ban chinese carriers from flying into the country because beijing barred american airlines. chinese authorities now say all international carriers will be allowed to operate one flight per week into a city of their choosing. airlines that have previously been allowed one weekly flight will be able to double their services provided they meet certain conditions but authorities say they'll monitor the flight to see if any passengers have covid-19. if a certain number tests positive the airline service will be suspended. this latest move may also b be part of efforts to revive the chinese economy hit hard by the pandemic. people across the globe are marking the 31st anniversary of china's military crack down. it comes as the chinese government tries to tighten it's control on hong kong with controversial plans to introduce
