want to express their bodies. we aren't immoral people. write us out of the fueiho code. we are good middle-class people trying to get our dance on. here is club asia, and then you have a sex hotel right across the street, and then wean go for a walk dn this way, and we will get to womb, as well. these are the high power clubs, and you can see it is right between love hotels and things. fueiho translates to the morality code. it's a broader scope of legislation that affects what spaces are available for what kinds of work, including sex work and dance, etc.
3:22 am
this is basically a place advertising the fact that it is conforming to fueiho code. in addition to the anti-dancing crackdown, for 10 years before that, there has been increasing restrictions on sex work in japan. that means you get a lot more independent sex workers as a result, and you have a lot more instances of violence against sex workers, because they are going alone without any kind of monitoring or supervision. all of this has been leading to an environment where sexorkers e at increasing risk of violence and attack. this has been going on well before the fueiho crackdowns on clubs. the fact that that was left out of the conversation entirely is the crisis.
3:23 am
my fear is that in opening up the law to extract dance from it, it becomes hard for the people left under the control of the fueiho to once again open it up, because the politicians will say, we st opened this up. you guys are screw now. that for me is something that is too tragic to go unmentioned. >> [speaking japanese]
