his star is definitely on the rise. it is obviously the case that trump considers desantis already a threat, we have seen that in recent messages coming out from trump. he is directing his ire at desantis himself. so yes, it is very possible desantis would decide to run against trump and no doubt many people in the republican party would welcome such a move. anchor: we saw what one term of donald trump looks like, where he packed the supreme court, we know what the supreme court has done since then, he contested the election, so doubt -- sowed doubt in the democratic process, hired members of his family to the white house. what would a second term look like? lawrence: again, it's not something a would like to imagine, but i think we would see perhaps an escalation of the

demagoguery and authoritarianism we saw in the first term. when trump chose the members of the supreme court, that was something within his constitutional prerogative to do so, that was something engineered by senate majority leader at the time mitch mcconnell. the way in which trump has systematically attacked integrity of our electoral system and worked to undermine the faith and our constitutional processes, that is the thing i think is exceptionally dangerous and that's where i think the danger would lie in a second trump presidency. though i honestly don't see that happening. anchor: we will see how things pan out and what his announcement does mean tomorrow. lawrence, thank you for joining us. in other news, a mascot for the paris olympics in 2024 was unveiled today.
